Biden and his foreign policy aides: weak, accusative, inconsistent, cowardly, corrupt — 22 Comments

  1. We have never, as a population, learned that the weaker you are perceived, the more likely war and terrorism is.

  2. Let’s not forget that Blinken has now proclaimed Ukraine will join NATO. This is a redline for Putin that must not be crossed.

  3. }}} We have never, as a population, learned that the weaker you are perceived, the more likely war and terrorism is.

    Yup.

“There have been four wars in my lifetime; none of them came about because the United States was too strong.”
    – Ronald Reagan –

There is an obviousness to this fact that it takes either youth and inexperience or else a total obliviousness to fail to get:

Wars occur because one side thinks they can win — pure and simple.

Because they think they will gain more with the application of force than they lose by your military response.

Hence, appearing weak increases your chances of having war happen, while appearing strong reduces the chances of having war happen. The more your possible enemy thinks they are risking by going to war, the more likely they are to attempt to gain what they want by diplomacy and negotiation, and the more likely they are to settle for less than all they would want to gain by military might.

}}} Let’s not forget that Blinken has now proclaimed Ukraine will join NATO. This is a redline for Putin that must not be crossed.

Frankly, I think these imbecilic halfwits believe that being in a war is going to help carry them through the election.

}}} Neo: When Trump brags that the Ukraine War and October 7 wouldn’t have happened on his watch, even though it’s his usual braggadocio

I think, in this case, it’s not just braggadocio — he believes it and he’s got very good reason for that. He did, after all, manage to negotiate 3 notable treaties in the ME, something no one else has ever managed in a single 4 years… It’s not just not knowing how he’ll respond, it’s that they know he doesn’t brook with a lot of weasel worded crap.

  4. It is gratifying, in a rather rueful way, to finally see that Obama is being outed as the America-hating, solipsistic, grafting, evil black nationalist that he, at his core, has been since he suckled that poison at his mother’s communist breast. His “privileged” (to borrow this tiresome phrase) upbringing was enabled by his (possibly) well-meaning grandparents and then reinforced by one of fathers–either Barak Sr., or more likely, Frank Marshall Davis. He attended finishing school for scoundrels in the witch’s brew of Chicago politics along with the likes of Dohrn and Ayers. He is a pox, a bane, a curse on America whose benighted presidency has left us with a residua of internal strife, racial animus and class warfare unlike anything seen since the end of The War Between the States and degree of demonic sexual perversion unlike anything extant since Caligula reigned over the Empire. Yet still he has his admirers. Mirabile dictu!

  5. I do not discount the idea that the policies are intended as a thumb in the eye to those who would hold Iran responsible for its state-sponsored terror. “Bushitler was too stupid (when he wasn’t being an evil genius) to understand that Iran’s behavior is caused by our colonialist policies. But we know better.”

One of the first things our far-eastern policy maker did was apologize to the CCP leadership for us being insufficently respectful to China in the past. Xi must still be chuckling over that.

Biden’s team is just Obama’s team reloaded. Barry is calling the shots.

  6. @Obloodyhell

Agreed on the whole, with one caveat.

Frankly, I think these imbecilic halfwits believe that being in a war is going to help carry them through the election.

I’m more worried about things going beyond that. Let’s not forget these are MALEVOLENT statist imbecilic half-wits. And as dumb as they can be they have been insidious at consolidating and weaponizing power against we.

I think they’re willing to flirt with war or a state of emergency to try and crush us at home.

  7. Its an evil and corrupt regime with scoops of stupidity abetted by an equally incurious and corrupt media who gave the order to sirwar where are the hostages and what condition, these are simple questions they dont even pretend to ask

  8. No, Russia wouldn’t have invaded Ukraine if Trump were in the White House. But it’s not only because of fear of how Trump might react. Russia’s main cash export – by a large margin – is oil. And if Trump had won in 2020, the price of oil would have remained low. This would have hurt Russia’s ability to raise cash to finance the war, making it more difficult to launch it.

  9. I thought robert malley was the one in charge but the infection all through the bureaucracy seems too extensive

  10. We have never, as a population, learned that the weaker you are perceived, the more likely war and terrorism is.

America used to be good at wielding the big stick. After WWII we got used to buying affection by tossing money around, but we also threw our weight around militarily and in covert activities. Biden threw away our leverage. Now the regime is surprised that all the bad actors are acting up around the world.

I thought we learned from Iran-Contra that moderates in the Iranian government are a myth or so weak as to be worthless. That’s not to say that we ought to be overthrowing their regime, but it should have been clear that we weren’t going to win Iran over by giving them money and stuff. Our alliance with the Saudis has involved a lot of trouble, but the lesson learned should have been that trying to nestle closer to Iran wouldn’t make things any better.

  11. We must not forget that the Biden/Obama foreign policy is intentional and purposeful; it is not their stupidity or incompetence.
It is based upon reducing, if not eliminating, the military and economic standing of the USA, domestically and internationally .

But why would they do this?

Because they hate everything about the USA; For them, the worst thing ever to occur in world history was the birth of the USA; ergo, the USA must be reduced in influence and power, if not totally abolished.
So far the only thing preventing their total, absolute control over the citizenry – and the abolishment of our constitutional republic, is the US Constitution and, on occasion, rulings of the courts.
But these road blocks have been diminishing for years, and sooner or later, there will be no roadblocks.

Part and parcel of abolishing the existing USA is having open borders in addition to aiding and abetting the actions of foreign enemies of the USA.
Flood the USA with individuals that bring with them their pathological cultures, their abhorrence of following the law and whatever efforts they must make (or more precisely, not make) to maintain themselves on the public dole.
All of this is encouraged by the liberal progressive cabal directed by Obama / Biden and his acolytes.

These illegals – you wait and see – will be counted in the (constitutionally mandated) census which must occur every 10 years, and which determines the number of seats in the US House of Representatives.

Obama / Biden and his ilk are , literally , traitors. It’s too bad they cannot receive the appropriate punishment for being traitors.

But let’s not forget that it is the American VOTERS that have given these traitors their powerful political positions. The voters have willingly and freely voted for a national suicide (aided and abetted by the media).
Unless the voters overwhelmingly rebuke those candidates whose intention is to dissolve our constitutional republic, there is no hope for our nation as it presently exists.

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”
    ? Abraham Lincoln

  12. Biden doesn’t have any agency.

It is a reasonable theses that the source of this is a hive of Foreign Service officers and WH staffers, acting through Blinken.

  13. A few years ago, although I have never been an Obama fan, hearing people say that he hates America sounded over the top. No more.

  14. The Biden administration’s pronouncements on foreign affairs is simply performative theater.

Soros backed leftist NGO’s are working closely with the Biden administration to flood the country with millions upon millions of single, fit, military age illegal invaders. Only the gullible and unimaginative imagine that they are here for the non-existent economic opportunities.

Which leaves as explanation only a dark and malevolent purpose. We are seeing only the very beginning of a rising crime wave. By October it will have swept through the country and underfunded Police Departments will be overwhelmed.

The thousands upon thousands of young Chinese men and hundreds if not thousands of young men from the Middle East promise an “October Surprise”… a wave of terrorist attacks. If they take out just nine key undefended electrical substations, the power grid will collapse.

Both will provide the perfect rationale for a presidential declaration of nationwide martial law. Among other rights and citing legal precedent, Habeas Corpus and the Posse Comitatus Act will be ‘temporarily’ suspended during the national emergency.

Of course, national elections will have to be suspended but be assured, they will resume once the national emergency is over.

  15. The double standards in play are being noted on every conservative blog, but the post at Ace cuts to the bottom line comparing what Biden demands from Israel versus what he demands from Hamas (which is in fact ZERO): “No pressure for them! Biden’s not threatening to withhold aid, or put that dock on hold, unless they agree to a ceasefire!”

  16. Buttigieg and Granholm don’t have real experience dealing with transportation or energy, so I’d suppose that they have to rely heavily on the permanent staff in their departments, especially when it comes to the many technical questions. Blinken’s been an establishment regular in DC for years now, dealing in one way or another with foreign policy questions, so I doubt the Department of State lifers are making decisions for him. They may not disagree with what Blinken is doing — they’re all part of the same blob he is — but another experienced secretary of state under a different president could override what the foreign service wants and impose policy from above.

Merritt Garland has a Justice Department on the same page as the White House and the Democratic Party. Of course they get orders from above, but most of them are chomping at the bit to go after Trump and other designated Enemies of “Our Democracy.” The two that puzzle me are Yellen and Mayorkas. On their own would either Mayorkas or the Treasury’s civil service economists have imposed Biden’s policies on the country? Maybe, maybe not, but the White House is definitely in command, for whatever that’s worth. Do civil servants in Homeland Security really want the flood of illegal immigrants that Biden and Mayorkas want? Maybe not, but we haven’t seen the kind of leaking and revolt that Trump got from “Anonymous” and others who wanted him to be harsher on American dissidents.

Politicians are creatures of opportunity. Some presidents are in a position to push the envelope further than others, and do. What’s done by preconceived design and what’s done because it becomes possible to do can be hard to separate. Would Obama be doing what the Biden administration is doing if he were in power now? It’s hard to say. The window shifts and new opportunities open up. Do you take them? There’s a clear continuity between Obama and Biden on the Middle East and on some other questions. On other issues — not so much. Would another president have called on foreigners to “surge” to (and through) our borders? Maybe Biden is so far gone that he’s not worrying about the things other politicians have to worry about.

  17. Blinken has spent almost his entire professional life at bidens side that cannot be good for anyones well being

Yes garland is the shell for monaco and clarke who are terrible the latter is in charge of the civil rights division

Mayorkas built the cages that ocasio cortez was screeching over and was in a scam with mcauliffe over eb 5 visas

  18. The world would have been better off if Dohrn and Ayres were shot back in 1970.

    James A. Rhodes was right!

  19. @ Barry Meislin

On the Middle East, most likely, but on immigration, that’s all on Biden’s bunch. Nobody else would be so stupid to call for a surge of illegals to the border.
