  1. He forgot to mention the other 24 partners of the partners.
I have no fear Sundowner will run in 2024, he won’t make it another year.

  2. The polls showing that Trump will beat Biden are fairly useless at this point, since it seems unlikely that Biden will be the nominee.

  3. he won’t make it another year.

Wish I was as sanguine about that as you appear to be. Even with all his episodes of barely coherent blathering, aphasia, misapprehension and confusion I still would not be terribly surprised if he were still considered to be compos mentis this time next year.

  4. We’ve had this conversation before…
The real problem is what will the “string pullers” do with Kamala?
Joe is going to be easy to take down…a slip, stumble, fall, medical episode…take your pick and he’ll go out a “hero.” Who takes his place?

That’s a much less “easy” answer at which to arrive. Kamala is much more difficult to control or manipulate and more likely to embarrass in public because she’s un-self-aware (is that a word?) of how incompetent she truly is. She may end up as POTUS simply because Biden just might shuffle off this mortal coil ahead of any planned obsolescence…but what about her?

  5. What an idiot.

The post makes a point about him referring to the Hispanic caucus as the black* caucus, but his point is idiotic. “My dad told me to repeat all people with respect.” What a patrician, elitist arrogant statement. He sounds like a plantation owner talking about his chattel.

*Thomas Sowell does not capitalize the word black. That’s good enough for me. And, it makes sense.

  6. Does this deterioration happen in a linear fashion or does it resemble a tangent curve or does it vary from person to person? I’d appreciate help from any medical people who know who are reading this. This is an every day thing now for over a month. Ace or one of his crew would probably argue it’s by the hour now. But this is rapidly becoming a security problem if it isn’t already.

  7. chazzand…varies with some “predictable consistencies.”

Gropey Joe has been propped up for public use longer than most other folks would ever be.

While not a Dr…I spend lots of career time with older folks in the throes of decline like his… some worse. He’s been pretty much out of control since 0’s second term. This is on his handlers…and the vile family around him

  8. As a long time primary care doctor, I think he has Parkinson’s. “Masked facies, shuffling gait…” No apparent resting tremor. Sometimes accompanied by dementia.

  9. Does this deterioration happen in a linear fashion or does it resemble a tangent curve or does it vary from person to person?

From what I’ve seen in family members and friends, some have a linear decline and some have a crisis period where they suffer a catastrophic loss of function (in a period of less than two years) followed by a linear decline.
    ==
A diagnosis of vascular dementia is associated with a dramatic reduction in life expectancy. Other dementias, no. A generic man Biden’s age has a life expectancy of just north of 7 years; an Alzheimer’s diagnosis is associated with a 5-10% reduction.

Sometimes, you only understand what’s been going on retrospectively. In the situation in my family, out of town relatives noticed a loss of short-term memory at the end of 2014. His wife finally persuaded him to sit for cognitive tests three years later, at which point ‘moderate cognitive decline’ was diagnosed. The family member who had to sift through his business records discovered there were signs of a loss of function as early as 2008.

  10. John Guilfoyle says, “The real problem is what will the ‘string pullers’ do with Kamala?”

Well, since the VP didn’t do much for border security, she has a brand-new title: Head of the Office of Gun Violence Prevention. Quoth Harris, “Hey everybody. So I have some big news to share. We are announcing the creation of the first-ever White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, and we’re doing this work in large part because of the activism, the organizing, the marching, the voting of all of you leaders, be it students, parents, teachers, community leaders, who understand that living free from gun violence should be a right. So we’re going to work on this together. We’re going to continue to fight for reasonable gun safety laws and for the ability of all people to live their best lives free from fear, free from violence. Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do.”

  11. The polls showing that Trump will beat Biden are fairly useless at this point, since it seems unlikely that Biden will be the nominee.

    Kate:

    I’m with you.

Sure, Biden didn’t pay a price in 2020 for his lapses and he is still sorta getting away with it.

But stuff works until it doesn’t. And Biden keeps getting worse.

Biden has an expiration date and it’s coming up fast. I don’t think he can headline a 2024 campaign even with all the cheats. Especially with so much going wrong in America and the world.

  12. Biden’s dithered too long. I think the idea now is for him to go through the primaries and then pull out if he’s too far gone. The party establishment would have all those delegates and could pick who they want. Fundraising for the new candidate would be a problem. Biden’s not going to drop out willingly, and I wonder if he would or could share his war chest with his replacement.

  13. Rufus T. Firefly, I will not capitalize “black” or “white” as an adjective describing someone. However, the Black Caucus is a group using that name, like the Freedom Caucus, so in that case I will capitalize to refer to the group’s name.

  14. The DOJ (so called) just indited NJ senator Menendez for corruption and taking bribes. Why can’t they see Biden is corrupt and takes bribes. Can you believe that Obama didn’t know about this?

  15. RTF: “white” or “black” but still “Hispanic”?? Then again, they could be Spanish, Mexican, Cuban, etc.

Huxley: “even with all the cheats” but as you know, the issue now is not the candidate but the cheats.

  16. The issue you have not yet addressed is this: the women behind the “throne” new before 2020 the Biden was incompetent–they knew, but they wanted him in that position anyway. Got any ideas as to why? Why did the leaders(?) of the D party put this guy in that office? Could it be they were so determined to get a woman in the WH? They were betting he wouldn’t last 4 years? Well, if that is the case, why did these very smart people pick very dumb Kamala? Because she too would be so easy to direct from behind the scenes? When we get the facts on that we will be moving toward correcting this horrible corrupt situation.

  17. If the Deep State wanted Harris she could be installed any day like today, they easily could force Sundowner out with blackmail. Obviously she isn’t their answer.

  18. All very interesting forecasts of what the Dems will do. So here’s mine. Kamala will be given an “offer she can’t refuse”, which is to replace Feinstein aa CA Senator. I know I know it’s a demotion but she’ll take it rather than a much worse fate. Then Biden will not run in 24, leaving the nomination open for a Newsom Whitmer ticket, which of course will win all of the important swing states.

  19. ” And he still might end up being elected in 2024.”

And what does this say about many voters??

And would not Kamala Harris, if she were to become president be just as easy to control and manipulate as the senile Bidet?

At least, despite her ignorance, stupidity, and yes, arrogance, she can read a teleprompter. Her handlers would just make sure she is never given the opportunity to speak “off the cuff” in public.
The dems now have plenty of experience controlling an incompetent, bumbling, senile president, so handling just a normal ignorant moron like Kamala will be a breeze.

The fact that the demokrat party actually supported Joke Bidet and the moron Harris is proof positive that the only thing that matters to demonkrats is power. But they can continue in this vein because enough voters keep re-electing them.

You can argue that if things get bad enough the voters will wise up, but this is not necessarily so.
Look at who the voters select in Chicago, Philly, NYC, Baltimore, Atlanta, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, etc; cities where as things worse and worse, the voters there keep re-electing individuals who, at best, do nothing to fix problems or at worst, follow polices that make things worse.

The voters in these cities are actually encouraging and promoting the demise of their cities. Apparently they cannot or do not make the connection between the condition of their cities and who they elect to run their cities.

And let’s not forget the most powerful and influential tool the demonkrats have; the massive power of the media. A large percentage of the electorate simply follow and listen to the message of this demonkrat propaganda “organ.”

And if Trump is the nominee, there will be many republican voters that simply will not vote for him.
In their stupidity, for all intents and purposes, they will help ensure a victory for the demonkrat nominee, thus continuing the policies of open borders, energy dependence and ever larger, more intrusive, and more tyrannical govt bureaucratic control of daily life.
These never Trump republicans, instead of choosing a “sub-optimal” candidate – that would be Trump – by withholding their vote for Trump, will opt for the election of the absolute worst candidate; a Harris or Bidet or even a Gavin Newsom.

Each of the 50 states of the USA voluntarily joined the union. They were not compelled to do so.
Today, each state is compelled to remain in the union; for better or worse.

Things can get much worse before things get better.

  20. I believe the answer to the question of why/how Harris got chosen to be VP lies in the power shift in Seattle. The shift was from the old white men who led the unions and the old white grandfather owners of large international corporations. From them to their wives and daughters daughters. The shift from informed, experienced collaborative white men to younger wealthy granddaughters. From Bill Gates to Melinda Gates if you will. These women are not yet smart enough nor do they have the political finesse (don’t care) to choose someone with a better mind and more extended education than they have. They wanted someone a little dumber than they are, but also black. Never forget these are the same women who put Obama in office!

  21. Grandpa,

It will be Newsome/Whitmer. Biden will bail out due to “health” reasons. And Kamala as CA senator is a great way to get her out of the picture.

  22. How long can they prop up biden? and if they dump him, who would be next? Both biden and harris have set the bar so low, I suppose anyone younger than 80 who can walk would qualify.
Because things are so bizarre now, I can actually see michelle obama in the mix. either as vp or as candidate. No idea if any of that is possible-but after the last few years of watching politicians change the rules, and get no pushback, I wouldn’t rule it out.
At least in my small circle, no one has faith in the process anymore-not in the people who run it, enforce it, or supposedly guard it.
All I do know for certain is that it will be interesting to watch- kind of like the sinking of the titanic was interesting.

  23. I think Grandpa has hit on the actual plan…quite brilliant actually. Smooth talking, youthful Newsom and a woman VP to replace Harris; an almost certain winning ticket against Trump, especially for the MotR voters. Note how just today Newsom has vetoed a popular with the Ds LGTBQ bill. To me, signals his “shift to the middle” to get ready for the campaign. We are so screwed if such a a scenario takes place, which to me seems likely. I’m voting for anyone else other than Trump in the primary. I’ll vote for him in the general, but it’s a useless vote in my view if he’s up against a Newsom/Whitmer combo.

  24. Why did they nominate Biden? To avoid Bernie Sanders, whom they considered would lose. They knew they could control Biden. He picked a black woman because that’s what he promised Jim Clyburn in return for the nomination.

Grandpagrumble’s scenario sounds plausible to me, and as physicsguy says, Newsom just vetoed a hard-left “gender” bill in readiness for the race. Harris and her husband have relocated to DC and would perhaps like to stay there with Harris in the Senate.

I think Trump would lose to Newsom/Whitmer.

  25. Would Harris, having almost reached the top, consent to being pushed back into the Senate? Would she take it as an insult? Harris would have a hard time getting elected president, but now that the depths of her incompetence have been revealed the Senate won’t be a safe berth for her either.

  26. No saying what Harris would accept if it were made clear to her that she had to. As an incumbent in California she’s have a shot at re-election, incompetence notwithstanding.

  27. He picked a black woman because that’s what he promised Jim Clyburn in return for the nomination.
    ==
Harris’ ancestry is < 25% west African, her husband is Jewish, and her mulatto father doesn't much care for her. The closest she gets to black is her brother-in-law.

  28. Art Deco:

The definition of “black” doesn’t work that way in the political sense. In the political sense, Harris was black and remains black.

  30. Politically, Harris is black because that’s the part of herself with which she chooses to identify, just as Obama chose his black half over his white half. With Harris, we’re not quite down to the “single drop of blood” standard, but we’re getting there. Her actual ancestry mix is 50% Tamil Brahmin.
