  1. FANTASTIC!

Here is hoping for a speedy recovery and no further challenges for Sharon or her husband.

  2. Fantastic news. A ray of sunshine in an overcast sky. May Sharon and Doug both be blessed with full recovery. Thanks for the update.

  3. Grand news for Doug and Sharon W! Hope that Sharon posts a link to the video of Doug’s discharge from the hospital. 🙂 🙂 🙂

  4. I’m VERY happy to hear that! I hope his recovery is rapid and he’s back up and around without the oxygen soon!

  5. That is ABSOLUTELY wonderful. Had been wondering … God continue to bless and heal you both!

  6. God is good. I almost lost my husband about eight years ago to a strange adrenal system tumor which is usually found only on autopsy. May Sharon W. and Doug enjoy every blessed day they have now been granted together!

  7. That’s wonderful news! So happy for you and your family Sharon, and thanks for letting us know Neo.

  8. God is good.
God continue to bless and heal you both!
I’ll add an “Amen” to both of those.

  9. A BIG BADGER THREE TIMES THREE!

  10. Good news, Sharon. My nephew got it, but as he is younger, recovery `was much less problematic.

  11. Good news. Full recovery takes patience, healthy food, lots of liquids, and laziness. Lots of interesting videos on Netflix, Prime, and Roku paired with herbal tea, honey, lemon juice, and a dash of rye whiskey. Above all sleep.

He’s fortunate to have a loving partner.

  12. I’ve been hoping to hear this news for many days now. I’m so happy for you both, Sharon.

  13. Thank you so much one and all. My husband is now convalescing at home. 19 days in the hospital, 6 of them in critical condition in the ICU have taken a bit of a toll for now. He went from 185 pounds to 159.5 in 28 days of illness. He is presently on 2L of oxygen and enjoying homemade food. Walking from the bed to the bathroom takes foresight and effort and some time to recover from being “winded” and the O2 level drop. Thankfully he recovers that oxygen saturation quickly upon resting. So it will take time and require patience. We are commited to that reality. We are so grateful for the continued prayers and keep all who have prayed for us in our prayers. On Thursday evening the hospital organized a send-off that was so moving. On the 3rd floor where all the action took place, the nurses and doctors lined the hallway and Doug was taken on a victory lap. On the ground floor again both sides of the hallway were lined with healthcare personnel and clapping, cheering and joy resounded throughout. Truly humbling and blessed.

  14. Sharon W:

Thank you for the uplifting report on Doug. Praying for continued steady recovery for Doug, you, and your family. Again, great news to start the day!

  15. Great news Sharon! Great news!

I’ve been wondering how you were both holding up and good news like this is always welcome and balm for the soul.

We’ll keep praying for your family!

  16. I was hoping we’d hear a “good news” outcome regarding Sharon W’s husband.
I am so happy for both of them!

  17. Oh WELL Sharon!!!

We all line up with the doctors and the nurses and join the clapping!
I’m going to tell the good news to the friends who prayed for your family.

If you come to Italy one day, I suggest you to visit the little town of Trivolzio, near Pavia: there, in the main church, is the body of Riccardo Pampuri, a saint whose intercession we always ask for; I personally know several people who trusted themselves to his help and recovered against any hope.

Inside the church there’s a big notebook full of prayers of gratitude (actually, there are many archived notebooks, as well,in the sacristy); there’s also mine, when my son healed from advanced IV stage cancer.

I especially asked his help for you.
One of his mots was: “Be realist with God, ask the impossible!”

    God be praised!

  18. Sharon

I’ve been late to read the news here, because I didn’t have much time in the past few days.

We ended our family quarantine and, being finally (relatively) free to go outside, I had many things to do, both for my job and for the Italian bureaucracy…

We are all doing just fine now.

  19. Paolo we rejoice with you and your family and feel immense gratitude for all the prayers and intercessions. We pray daily for blessings on all who prayed for us and their families. I love the words of Riccardo Pamopuri “Be realist with God, ask the impossible!” When our youngest son was married, one of the table favors was a stone with the words inscribed on it, “With God all things are possible. Mark 10:27” I have these stones all over my home and office. The day my husband was hospitalized, I took one of those stones and placed it on a table in the center of our home. Truly our God is awesome!

  20. “Truly our God is awesome!”
    Amen, and thank you Lord!

Continuing prayers for you both, Sharon.

  21. Continued prayers, I’m sure there are still challenges. I hope they are lesser, even much lesser challenges.
    Get healthy, Doug!
Bless your luck in having Sharon getting you help in time.

  22. My husband is improving nicely. He is down to 1.5L of oxygen now. Tomorrow afternoon we will try 1L. He is walking around better and his O2 saturation recovers quickly upon any exertion. He’s spending too much time on work calls though. I went to the Urgent Care yesterday evening to have the antibody blood draw and the results came back positive. (I would have questioned the test had it not.) The best news for me was a 100% clear xray. I still have a cough so I was concerned and am now relieved. Yesterday the hospital sent me this link of my husband’s discharge.

  23. Sharon W:

That is such stupendous news. And the video is so touching and beautiful. Thanks for posting it.

  24. Dear Sharon,

A lot of aspects are in sync between our families, I see 🙂

Bring a big hug to Doug from Italy, we are very happy for you!

If you ever come to Italy, don’t forget that there’s always a good dish of pasta for friends here.
