  1. Good for them! Excellent. There are a fair number of family bluegrass bands, such as the Petersens, the Brandenburger Family, Cotton Pickin Kids, the Kempters. Or should that be bluegrass band families? 🙂

  2. The Petersens are a polished professional act. This great tune is an original. The only non-family member, dobro player Emmett Franz, just kills it.

The woman on upright bass is the mother of the other four. Just a great-looking bunch and a truly talented family.

  3. My oldest always said we were a weird family because we did that. But she said it was a “good” weird.

  4. My daughter and I were more stage oriented. We’d slap on “Pirates of Penzance” and take the roles. At ten, she could sing all of Maybelle’s pieces.

  5. Wow. Just got around to watching this. Very fun. And the kid on the right on lead. I just assumed it was the dad. Where do you find this stuff?

  6. Mike Plaiss:

I think that one just came to me courtesy of YouTube’s algorithm. I’m not sure why.
