The very best woman is a biological man — 50 Comments

  1. Neo says, “As I watch that video I get the distinct impression that Mulvaney is caricaturing women, or a stereotype of girlishness.”

Three years before Rodgers and Hammerstein’s film version of Flower Drum Song was released, their film version of South Pacific hit the theaters. There’s a scene in which Nellie Forbush (Mitzi Gaynor) is dressed as a sailor to entertain the troops, with Luther Gillis (Ray Walston) playing “Honey Bun,” presumably Forbush’s “girl” friend. The audience’s reaction to the gender-bending (particularly Gillis’s caricature of femaleness) is the opposite of woke:

  2. PA Cat:

Funny thing – I first had viewed that YouTube video and was going to include it, but I don’t like the filmed version of that musical and the video was also out of sync.

  3. “As far as I can tell, Mulvaney is an intact biological male, but I can’t say I’ve investigated that issue in any depth. Mulaney has an acting background, and the whole thing appears to me to be an act (sincere or not, I also cannot tell).” – Neo

I think you’re on to something. I think transgenderism is/has become something like the new Goth. It’s performance art/new way to rebel and has little to do with sex. I noticed in the videos of the Portland Antifa shenanigans a discernable minority appeared to be what a few generations ago would have been labeled butch. Are these folks mentally disordered?

In my limited data set of one, (a friend transitioned or so years ago. He/she certainly wasn’t looking for attention, and I do think he suffered from mental disorder. He/she was 40ish when transitioning.) If the rational for declaring these people normal under the pretext that abnormal is the new normal, I’m not sure how a cohesive stable society can survive.

  4. “Tampax. Tampax.”

Well, if Tampax wants a biological male endorsing their tampons, there’s nobody better than King Chuck– who famously wished some years back that he lived in the then-Mrs. Parker Bowles’ trousers and thought he might be reincarnated as a tampon:

In 1993, the British press published the full transcript of a private conversation between then-Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles in which the two had an intimate and sexual exchange. The conversation was notable for a number of reasons, not least of which because it involved the heir to the throne saying that he would like to “live inside [her] trousers” and joking that he would be reincarnated as a tampon, hence the name [Tampongate] of the scandal.

  5. All of them, to some degree, are caricaturing a stereotype of a woman. (Widdershins likewise for men.)

There is no possibility that a biological man can know what it “feels like” to be a biological woman (and vice versa). There are no surgeries or hormones that can give them that, either. Anymore than anyone could know what it is to have three arms, or what it is to be blind from birth (if you’re not already blind from birth) or what it is to be sighted if born blind.

What they CAN know is what it is to be TREATED as a woman, and they CAN know how to ACT like they see women act. (Widdershins likewise for men.) They CAN desire that because they CAN know that.

Those looking for a biological reason for transgenderism are barking up the wrong tree. The transgendered can’t possibly know that they are “really” a woman inside. They can SAY that, and they can describe what they do feel as that, but that is not what it is, so there’s not point in looking for a physical mechanism like what hormone balance they had in the womb or whatever.

Most people who are “transgendered” today are not taking hormones and not seeking to. They are not getting surgery, and not seeking to. This is only recently true. Most of today’s transgenders are playing dress-up and demanding that the rest of us treat the game as real.

Like I said on another thread, imagine if tomorrow 100 million Chinese converted to Judaism overnight. All your ideas about “Jews” would be suddenly and badly out of date. Something similar has happened to transgenderism.

  6. Broken record time again…
This madness will stop when women (adult biological females) make it stop. Not a moment sooner. And it may actually have to get messy ladies.

  7. It seems that many of the high-profile m-f “trans” people caricaturize female behavior. The teacher in Canada who wore enormous prosthetic breasts to Dylan. They play at what are supposed female characteristics, exaggerating them for almost comic effect.

I can believe these people are actually misogynistic, hating real women and showing their disdain for females through their over-the-top physical looks and actions.

  8. I’ve found the very best woman in my life was the one that gave birth to my step-daughters and nurtured them to become wonderful women in their own right. Let me know when Jenner, Levine, or any of the others mentioned can compete at that level.

  9. John Guilfoyle @ 5:42 pm,

The same is true for the insanity in the U.S. around race. Black voices need to rise up and condemn warrantless, racist attacks of whites. Leaders in the black community need to make it clear it is not “cool” nor acceptable to paint an entire race with a broad brush, or to hate an entire group of people because they lack melanin.

  10. I’ve read part of Deirdre McCloskey’s book, “Crossing.” He was a male with a family and children. At some point he began wearing his wife’s clothes, then changed his name and began living as and calling himself a woman. Naturally, his former wife and children will have nothing to do with him. I don’t know if he has been castrated. Maybe I did not get that far in the book. He was an excellent economist and continues to be as Deirdre. He does not seem to be mentally ill but does describe loneliness.

It is similar to adult men who decide they are gay. A doctor friend of mine did so. His wife became an alcoholic for several years but pulled herself out of it and began dating a few years later. She was a very attractive woman. I remember knowing them socially before he announced himself and she seemed quite distressed even then. Probably because she knew about secret assignations. He took good care of their daughters financially but I did not know them. He and his partner, who I also knew well, died of AIDS in the height of the epidemic. They were well known in the community for wild parties.

  11. Black voices need to rise up and condemn warrantless, racist attacks of whites. Leaders in the black community need to make it clear it is not “cool” nor acceptable to paint an entire race with a broad brush, or to hate an entire group of people because they lack melanin.

Glenn Loury and John McWhorter have been doing this but phonies like Ibraham X Kendi (Henry Rogers) are louder and make more money.

Loury has a BS in Mathematics for MIT.

    Mc Whorter is a linguist.

McWhorter characterized himself as “a cranky liberal Democrat”. In support of this description, he states that while he “disagree[s] sustainedly with many of the tenets of the Civil Rights orthodoxy”, he also “supports Barack Obama, reviles the War on Drugs, supports gay marriage, never voted for George W. Bush and writes of Black English as coherent speech”. McWhorter additionally notes that the conservative Manhattan Institute, for which he worked, “has always been hospitable to Democrats”.[27] McWhorter has criticized left-wing and activist educators in particular, such as Paulo Freire and Jonathan Kozol.[28] He believes that affirmative action should be based on class rather than race.

Both are eminently reasonable and have substack columns. Blacks pay no attention to them.

  12. “Black voices”

Rufus…I do not condone nor encourage violence. But we both know you cannot reason someone out of a position they reached irrationally.

I fear we are past the “voice” place & all that may be left to us is what others euphemistically call “kinetic” responses. Will Thomas would have given up being a “great woman swimmer” if the UPenn women’s team would have stepped on his man-bits a few times in the change room OR preferably stepped off the starting blocks when the horn sounded “Go,” leaving him to race by himself.

When the left tells us that our “words are violence,” it may be the only option remaining on the table is active violence…? I don’t know & I hate that THAT is where I end up.

  13. I always thought that ‘widdershins’ was an old english word for counter-clockwise.

On the subject – this whole societal dynamic proves that feminism has lost its way and is without a rudder, without leadership or a coherent message. What a colossal failure to protect and nurture girls. Feminism aside: What does a father do?

  14. Dylan Mulvaney is a performance artist. He pretends to be what he thinks a teenaged girl is like, and he’s making a bundle of money doing it. And, along the way, he’s tremendously offensive to actual girls and women, whom he mocks.

He is entirely different from the occasional transsexual adult trying to live without much fanfare in an assumed persona. Those are not making fun of people, or trying to make money off the publicity; they’re just trying to get on with their lives.

Caitlyn Jenner was already a celebrity long before his transition. He’s not trying to force other people to change their lives or beliefs, and he’s not trying to push transitions on children.

  15. @Aggie:I always thought that ‘widdershins’ was an old english word for counter-clockwise.

It literally means “against the way”, meaning opposite the sun’s apparent motion, but is often generalized to mean “the wrong way” or the “the opposite way”. I was looking for a compact way of reversing all the genders in what I had written…

  16. This Mulvaney creature is either the sickest person I have had the misfortune to come across or the slickest con artist since Henry Gondorff graced the big screen. Either way, he/she seems to be having a lot of fun. In a year’s time, we should know the real story. If he suddenly disappears, we’ll know he conned his way into a fortune, unless his lifeless body is found, in which event we can conclude he was mentally ill.

  17. Mike K– Have you read Jonathan Kay’s review of 18 Months: A Marriage Lost to Gender Identity? The review is worth reading in full because Kay painstakingly describes the stages in the disintegration of the author’s marriage to a narcissistic tranny; this excerpt will have to suffice:

“What truly drives the relationship to its breaking point is [the wife’s] eventual realization that, with his slinky dresses and high-heel boots, [the husband] isn’t a wannabe woman so much as an amateurish imposter. What he imagines to be womanhood is in fact a male masturbation fantasy that presents women as endlessly parked in front of boudoir mirrors, staring dreamily at their own decolletage as they mist themselves with bulbed perfume bottles. As Shannon writes, real women are more likely to spend their lives fleeing such male-imposed expectations.”

Kay concludes, “The experience of reading 18 Months strengthens my view that feminism will indeed be revolutionized by gender ideology—but not in the way activists imagine. Thanks to the overreaching of trans-rights fundamentalists, a whole generation of ‘gender-critical’ women is now being forced to go through the bonding exercise of explicitly articulating what is unique about the experience of being biologically female. Though much maligned by doctrinaire progressives, this group has already become a real force, especially in the UK and the United States.”

  18. America is conducting a social experiment. Whether a society and it’s leadership can categorically reject fundamental aspects of reality and remain viable. History shall record the result and provide its lesson for future generations.

  19. WHICH LEADS TO A NEXT QUESTION: If it’s wrong — in Prog Minds — for children to pretend to be Indians and cowboys, why is a man pretending to be a woman celebrated?

And then another: is Trans erasing women’s faces and identity— and why the HELL do they put up with this bovi excrement?

Im listening to an author interview to hear a midwife’s insights on the above

  20. Tampax . . . what about Kotex? My state governor is a lesbian named Kotex. How cool is that?

  21. “I get the distinct impression that Mulvaney is caricaturing women, or a stereotype of girlishness.”

I’ve been saying for some time that drag performances are to women as blackface minstrel shows were to black people. And I’m surprised that women don’t push back against it more. Instead, progressive women seem to fawn over the performers.

I’m talking about the kind of bizarrely sexualized drag stuff that seems to be the province of gay males–the outlandish prurient names, scary makeup, and all that, not Flip Wilson’s Geraldine and similar comedy.

  22. Trans women can menstruate or so they say. I don’t think those words mean what they say. But hey,

Send in the clowns … don’t bother, they’re queer.

  23. I think I read headline that said Biden said that you can’t bar men from competing as women. Executive Order? How?

  24. There is a revolution in this country and it is a revolution of the marginalized. What do they want? They want status, the status they’ve never had but have now tasted. And once tasted, there’s no going back to living with their tail between their legs. In fact, they’re feeling their oats and know that they’ve got ‘normals’ pushed back on their heels.
From the BLM crowds and the pink haired, to Lizzo, to the trans contagionists, to pushing the white supremacy BS – it all feels so good to be in the public eye, and to have so many coming out in solidarity with them, and to see normals reeling.
This has to play out somehow, and I don’t think it’s gonna be pretty.

  25. Biden’s proposed Title IX changes: I heard a bit about it on the radio.
The core “non-surprise” bit? Money. Green hand-cuffs.
As usual, government funds come with nooses.
If a public school accepts any federal funding, it must allow trans people to compete as the gender they mock. Or envy.
    Or can beat.
If aliens have been watching, they are sighing, and moving on.

  26. Well, it looks like the Nashville shooter has a Colorado copycat, only it’s a he transitioning to a she: “Colorado authorities thwarted a possible middle school shooting after they arrested a former student who was allegedly planning a massacre inside the building. William Whitworth, who prosecutors say identifies as Lilly, was taken into custody by the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office on March 31 after it was discovered the 19-year-old had floor plans to Timberview Middle School and allegedly admitted to wanting to shoot up the school, according to an arrest affidavit obtained and reported on by local outlets.”

The suspect’s sister called authorities to warn them that Whitworth was planning a school shooting: “While the affidavit lists Whitworth as a male, the sister called her ‘Lily’ and called the suspect her sister, the newspaper reported. . . . Before the arrest, deputies found Whitworth in bed and drunk, surrounded by trash and several holes in the bedroom she was taken into custody, the Gazette reported. Authorities additionally found instructions on how to build homemade bombs inside her room.”

  27. When I can bring myself to watch Dylan Mulvaney doing ANYTHING, I ask myself, What if I encountered an actual female who acted like this? My instinct would be to run away as fast as possible. In fact, I don’t know a SINGLE woman, girl, or matriarch who acts in that ridiculous, over the top way.

So what is Dylan Mulvaney trying to express? What is Dylan Mulvaney trying to portray? Some weird stereotype of his own mentally ill creation, it appears. And what does that say about the companies falling over themselves to have him represent their brands?

  28. “Trash and several holes in the bedroom.” He punched holes in the wallboard, or what?

Biden thinks he is the King of America. If he thinks boys can be girls, then the royal purse will require all of us to assent to the royal will. We will be forced to accept what our eyes and our reason deny.

I am so glad my little granddaughter will start school in the fall in a district which doesn’t use any federal funds.

  29. Do transgender females have higher testosterone levels than biological females who take (against the rules) performance enhancing testosterone ??

What if a biological female who takes testosterone to enhance her performance in some athletic sport declares she identifies as a transgender female and thus must be allowed to compete – all doped up – in a women’s sporting event??

    Check out Wikipedia’s definition of a transgender female;

“A trans woman or a transgender woman is a woman who was assigned male at birth.”

Yep folks, “assigned.” You know, “assigned” like a homework assignment when we all were students.
The presence of ovaries (which already contain thousands of eggs ), fallopian tubes, a cervix, a uterus , a vag, and lacking any male parts has nothing to do with the gender of the new born.

I was thinking I should identify as EMPEROR OF THE WORLD and be accorded all the benefits befitting an individual holding this exalted, God given, right. Since this a new job for me, I have to think about the benefits that are due me.

    I will keep you posted.

  30. An interesting thread on why all these companies are suddenly giving endorsement deals to “transgenders.” The Human Rights Campaign has an index to show how compliant companies are with the LGBT-etc. agenda. If the company slips down in the rating, the leftists call them “transphobic.”

    https://twitter.com/ConceptualJames/status/1643410315390984195

Matt Walsh suggests that we boycott companies one at a time. We can’t boycott them all, because that won’t be too effective. Like leftists, choose a target and destroy it. Start with Bud Light, for instance, and its parent company.

  31. “… the royal will…”
    Absolutely.
The Emperor’s clothes are absolutely stunning.
    They were always absolutely stunning.
They will always be absolutely stunning.
(Because the Emperor has ways to…let us call it, “persuade”.)

So take that bratty kid, rip out his heart and sacrifice him to the gods of CRT, AFT, DEI, AGW, NIH, CDC, FDA, CIA, FBI, DOJ, NIE or whatever. Maybe the parents will then decide to educate their other kids right.

  32. America is being “fundamentally transformed”.
    Trans-cop:

    Trans-mayor:
    “Chicago Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson rebukes ‘large corporations’ for poverty, violence in the city;
“The liberal mayor-elect has also promised to support immigration to Chicago and double down on ‘sanctuary city’ policies”—
    https://www.foxnews.com/media/chicago-mayor-elect-brandon-johnson-rebukes-large-corporations-poverty-violence-city
    Trans-DA:

    Yep, it’s…Reality…Transformed!
    (With “Biden” pulling the strings…)

  33. It will take women to stop this mania. It amuses me to tell my wife, whenever we see a trans-woman athlete or Jeopardy champion just killing it, that anything a women can do a man can do better.

Remember, a vote for the Democrats is a vote for open jails, open borders, and open locker rooms.

  34. Can’t you just see Lia Thomas dancing and prancing singing “I enjoy being a girl”?

  35. Kate,

I’ve already started. Went to the liquor store yesterday to stock up on beer for a few, upcoming parties. Used my phone to search the web in the store to make sure I was not purchasing AB-Inbev products. Not so easy to avoid; they have a lot of brands! But my frig is now stocked with some really good beers.

I did the same thing when Gillette decided to attack men. In an advertisement for men’s razors!

The really confusing thing with AB-Inbev and Gillette, they both sell products that are not very distinguishable for the competition. People tend to just buy what they buy because that’s what they’ve always bought. Why put the thought in your loyal customers’ heads to check out the competition?

With the Gillette thing I ended up finding a different brand of razor that is cheaper and that I actually like better. I would have never bothered had the awful Gillette ad campaign not brought the issue to my attention.

Now, it’s the same with AB-Inbev. There are a lot of great beers out there. I often bought some AB-Inbev products (I will miss Kona Brewing and Corona), but there are plenty of substitutes I like just as well.

Signaling support on a very divisive, niche issue that has nothing to do with your product or customers? Really, really dumb approach on products with a lot of similarly priced competition of similar quality.

  36. My grand daughter plays girls’ volleyball and her brother plays men”s volleyball. Both are in high school in Orange County CA. Not all California is crazy. There are isolated islands of sanity. Both of them are tall; he is about 6-4 and she is tall but I don’t know the numbers. Both are good kids and have avoided the craziness.

  37. Some politicians say that- “women’s sports should include biological men or transmen”.

    Yeah, right.

And although they’re not bovine, some humans make the best BULL MANURE.

    Don’t we know it! ;D

  38. Been over half a century since I was in the dating world. Still can’t imagine what I’d have done in the presence of a “woman” acting that way. Except for normal women putting somebody on and we all know it’s a joke. Possibly a joke as in “How not to impress guys.”

  39. A man who has passed puberty has a lifelong advantage that doesn’t end even if that person starts taking female hormones.

AN unfortunate side effect of accepting this argument is that children just past infancy will be encouraged to be mutilated before the optimum time for transitioning has passed. People who do this to children should be hanged.
