The pending Iran deal and the Biden administration’s “weakness”
There’s more on the new Iran Deal here, in particular what the Iranian leaders are saying about their plans for Israel. The article mentions the Biden administration’s weakness several times as one of the factors leading to all of this:

The mullahs are not oblivious to the growing voices in the Arab world that complain about the weakness of the US and how the Biden administration’s policy of appeasement towards Iran is undermining the Americans’ credibility and jeopardizing the security and stability of Arab and Islamic countries.
Iran’s mullahs appear to be so confident that the Biden administration has turned its back on its Arab allies in the Middle East that they are issuing direct threats not only against Israel, but also against any Arab country that dares to cooperate with the Israelis.
It may be a minor quibble, but although the article says the Biden administration is weak, that’s not the way I’d describe it. This particular deal is what the administration intends to do, and I’m puzzled by the somewhat constant assertion that this administration is weak, a statement hardly limited to that article. Yes, it’s weak in the traditional sense of not opposing a tyrannical regime such as Iran’s, and failing to project the strength, resolve, and ability to do so successfully. But that presupposes that the Biden administration has that goal and is trying to do those things. I see no indication that is the case.
Nor do I think that the Arab nations who oppose Iran are suffering from the delusion that they can count on the US to help them. That is one of the reasons they have allied somewhat with Israel in the first place – to try to stop Iran, realizing that the US is no longer a reliable player.

Oh, and Lapid of Israel seems to be changing his tune, at least somewhat:
Bennett, Lapid and Defense Minister Benny Gantz often spoke of the weaknesses of the Iran nuclear deal, which has been negotiated mostly in Vienna over the past 16 months. They repeatedly said Israel would not be obligated to it, but they made sure not to openly criticize US President Joe Biden.
On Thursday, however, Lapid came very close to crossing that line.
“In our eyes, [the Iran deal] does not meet the standards set by President Biden himself: preventing Iran from becoming a nuclear state,” he said in a briefing to the foreign press.
In other words, if Biden agrees to rejoin the Iran deal as it stands, which all indications point to him doing, then he will be breaking a promise.
No doubt Biden and company are shaking in their shoes at that accusation from the extremely weak Lapid. The change in Lapid probably comes from two factors. The first is that he may actually realize this deal is on course to bring great peril to Israel in the truly – not just metaphorically – “existential” sense. The second is that he can feel Netanyahu’s hot breath on his neck.
The mystery is why Obama chose to ally with Iran, which hates us and is not interested in any alliance with us. There was a theory that Valerie Jarret was behind this or that Obama was still a Muslim. The fact that Obama left Netanyahu alone in the White House waiting while he and the family ate dinner might be a clue. Maybe Obama just hates Jews. Axelrod is Jewish and had his bar mitzvah but, like many Jews, maybe he is a total atheist now. It’s obvious that Obama is running this regime so what Obama wants he gets.

I’ve pondered why Obama wanted to do this. I don’t think he hates Jews, but I do think he has the typical leftist sympathies with the Palestinians. I think another thing operating was hubris. He wanted to be the one to “make peace” with Iran. It was a driving motive, and I think at a certain level he believed his own hype that this would work in terms of discouraging Iran from getting nuclear weapons. In other words, his narcissism and his dislike of Israel and especially of Netanyahu (whom he treated with contempt), and his leftist politics re Palestine, drove him. Disarmament was a long concern for Obama and he always was naive about it. See this post of mine that goes into this in some depth.

A story popped up on Facebook this morning that Israel has been making incursions into Iranian airspace with F-35’s in training.
The fighters have Israeli added electronics which they usually do to US fighters. The F-35 has been modified to accept a 1,000 lb bomb internally. (They didn’t say that’s a US modification or Israeli.
If so, Israel is serious to take out Iranian nuclear facility at some point. I thought Iran had hardened their facilities some years ago, so It’s doubtful a 1,000 lb bomb would have much effect, so this may just be propaganda.
Also linked to a story yesterday that Europe is onboard with the Iranian deal since they would then receive Russian oil shipped through Iran and wouldn’t be violating sanctions against Russia.
Of course Bidet’s puppet masters intend for Iran to gain nuclear weapons capability. Their fondest hope is that Iran and Israel wipe each other off the map. Simultaneously removing two ‘irritants’ would be for the Left, a classic geopolitical “win-win”.
Too cynical? Remember that I’m speculating about the Biden’s fanatical leftist puppet master’s true motivations vis-à-vis Iran and Israel.
There’s no depth too low, nothing too depraved for the Left to support… if it moves forward their agenda. As for the fanatical, the end always justifies the means.
60+ million dead babies and a plan to reduce humanity from 8 Billion to 500 Million should remove all doubt as to their willingness to “do what it takes”.

And yet Biden’s fighter bombers in Syria are repeatedly bombing Iran’s proxy forces there — I don’t get this!
If the USA reaches some sort of nuclear agreement with Iran it will force Israel, sooner or later, to launch a devastating military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
This strike may result in a major, declared war between Israel and Iran and it’s a safe bet that the Arab nations will, one way or the other, support Israel.
The Arabs have no illusions as to which nations in their backyard present the greatest threat to them.
Iran will be fully aware of this and who knows how it will respond to this re: Israel’s Arab nation supporters.
Israel, so far, has been using sabotage, computer hacks of sorts, targeted assassinations, etc., to prevent Iran from obtaining nukes. Israel has already been doing this with apparent good success.
Each Israeli success will make any subsequent success that much more difficult as Iran learns how to prevent these “minor’ attacks .
Eventually, Israel will be forced to take major military action; e.g. aircraft bombing raids, rapid, targeted in/out commando raids on important Iranian weapons facilities, etc. Once this occurs, who knows how Iran will respond.
Any US / Iran agreement will be the Mideast version of the UK / French / German agreement giving Hitler the Sudetenland in 1938, but in it’s modern version, it’s not territory being “donated,” but nuclear weapon’s capabilities and methods of delivering these weapons.
Those in our govt. actively supporting this Iran deal are laying the groundwork for a major nuclear conflagration in the Mideast and who knows which nations inside / outside of the ME will be dragged into it.
But let me guess; the USA for one.
The stupidity and yes, criminal negligence of those in the US govt promoting this Iran deal is absolutely incredible.
This will not end well.

Seriously, when I saw LI’s story about that today, I wondered the same thing.
We’re simultaneously bombing them because they attack us, and negotiating a dealt to give them more money to — attack us and Israel.
However, that’s not the only policy area where the Democrats and the WH are inconsistent.
It does make one wonder just how many power factions there are handling different areas, and possibly contending over control.

Talk about “weakness.”
Take a look at this video of “Dr.” Jill Biden pulling ol’ Joe backwards when he is apparently talking to the press.
Reminds me of what I’ve seen in venues where there are a lot of very old people, and sometimes their attendants physically take a hold of them and reorient them to the right direction, so they can slowly shuffle to the correct entrance or door.
In particular, note “Dr.” Jill’s body language after she does this, turns around, and walks away. It strikes me that she looks like she is weary of this, or perhaps disgusted?

As to “Dr. Jill”, I do not give a crap about her. Her doctorate is in education, and I know from others similarly degreed that it is mostly a leftist BS degree. She loves being catered to as “First Lady”, which is very affordable given the Biden clan’s corruption (she has undoubtedly played a part), and she does not have to do much about doddering Joe, not even change his Depends or dress him. But she is as corrupt as he ever was.
Whatever contempt and loathing there was between Obama and Netanyahu went both ways. Maybe they both saw through each other’s pretentions. In any case, what happened at the White House was badly botched and unseemly.
I suspect it was Obama’s wish to be seen as a peacemaker that led to the Iran deal, but bear in mind that there were a lot of people involved in the process both here and in other countries, so I’d wait to see a more detailed account of what happened before speculating about motives.
