A lot of Americans dislike everything Biden has done — 28 Comments

1. It is not simply that no truly rational person could describe anything remotely positive or beneficial to our country during the first year of this illegitimate administration, but also that it is obvious from the deliberately-instigated chaos at the border, from the insanity at DHS (the latest being the announcement that anyone in opposition to Biden is, ipso facto, an extremist and a potential terrorist) to the ideologically-driven persecutions emanating from the Department of (In)Justice, that the Harris/Biden regime is deliberately undermining the Constitution, abetting many forms of criminality, corrupting the legal system, weakening the dollar, destroying our energy independence, and essentially waging war on traditional Americans. Could any so-called “Manchurian candidate” have been more successful than Harris/Biden in mis-governance and mismanagement over the past thirteen months?

2. 17% strongly approve of Biden

I wonder who these weirdos are? I mean, excluding people actually within Biden’s administration and… I don’t know… members of the Chinese Communist party?

Do they have a functioning brain stem?

3. Apropos of border security, rumor has it that Biden has found a replacement for the VP: “In a last-ditch effort to address the mounting immigration crisis on the U.S. southern border, President Biden has named Willow—the newest White House cat—as America’s border czar. ‘Everyone deserves a chance at this thing, folks,’ said Biden to a bust of Eleanor Roosevelt. ‘I already gave that black lady who claims to be my Vice President a chance, and she didn’t do squat. I’m not even sure where she is. It’s time someone else had a chance to solve this difficult problem. It’s the cat’s turn.’ . . . ICE agents are currently placing catnip along the border fence in hopes Border Czar Willow—unlike Kamala—will actually pay them a visit.”

And after Willow takes care of the southern border, she can go north to deal with Justin Trudeau.

4. Thinking about it more, I’m unconvinced that there’s anybody outside Biden’s family that really genuinely *likes* him that much (And even within his family, I don’t think he’s that well liked either. I seem to remember Hunter griping about having to funnel money to him). I just don’t believe anyone honestly thinks he’s doing a good job (obviously excluding people who want to see America cut down to size or outright destroyed).

Biden has to be the most disliked president of the modern era. I mean, it’s true that were and still are lots of people really, really loathed Trump. But there are probably just as many who really really loved him. Same for Obama. But can you imagine anyone who really loves Joe Biden?

5. But can you imagine anyone who really loves Joe Biden?

The love affair between Joe Biden and Joe Biden is one for the ages.

6. At times like this you wonder if the Parliamentary system wouldn’t be better… the Canadians at least have a glimmer of hope to get rid of Trudeau, and replace him with someone marginally better. Even if fate takes a hand, we are stuck with a rigid succession of Dumb, Dumber and Necromica.

7. I have old friends who are True Believers in apocalyptic global warming, and in “white privilege.” They probably are among those who still support Biden. Alas. And these are otherwise intelligent people.

8. My Wife is worried that as the “supply chain” and inflation problems get worse, which they will, that the Dems and Press will place blame for the shortages and inflation on the Truckers. I think there is some of that now. Why the Truckers are taking these actions won’t count.

9. After the 2020 election, my brother expressed the hope that Biden could unite us. That statement indicates how little attention he pays to politics, as any Republican could have told him how nasty Biden has been towards Republicans. Such as telling blacks that Republicans want to put them in chains. And so on.

But can you imagine anyone who really loves Joe Biden?

“But at least he’s not Trump” appears to have a lot of adherents.

I am reminded of the trucker strikes in Allende’s Chile. The primary reason for the strike was the proposal to nationalize trucking in Aysen province. But lefties discussing the strikes decades later conveniently leave that out. (Such as Isabel Allende in Long Petal of the Sea, a historical fiction work about Spanish Republican refugees in Chile that lived through the Allende years. But at least Isabel is more even-handed about the Spanish Civil War, as she mentions more than once the thousands of Roman Catholic clerics that the Republicans/Popular Front murdered.)

11. Seconding Gringo’s and Nonapod’s motion(s) here.

I truly believe that *no* one “really loves Joe Biden” (except maybe DOCTOR Jill).

I do think it’s explainable as essentially a lingering TDS* hangover, just (still!) another way to virtue-signal one’s heartfelt contempt for Orange Man.

There’s no expiration date on TDS*, you know.

12. The 17% that are Snoopy-dancin’ happy would vote that way in any poll, even if Biden were killing off first-born male babies. Most of the rest are prone to dislike everything Biden has done, because why wouldn’t they? If you’re a partisan Progressive Liberal, you’d be disgusted at the lack of progress with the Democratic White House and Democratic majorities in the Senate and House. If you’re anything else, what would be the accomplishments that have done the most good? How about the most damage? It’s hardly a balanced list.

Probably the worst thing is the inflation – it’s just about impossible to ignore it, if you are on any kind of budget where paying attention is not optional.

13. If only the poll asked “exactly how bad is it?” My checkmark would go next to the “horrible beyond anything imaginable awful” box.

14. Biden is unpopular because people can actually see and hear him, unlike when he was virtually hidden during the 2020 campaign. The man just looks and sounds BAD.

I mean, at almost the same moment Biden’s National Security Advisor is saying a Russian invasion of Ukraine could happen this weekend, Biden himself calls an early “lid” and flies off to Camp David without speaking to reporters. Why would even an incompetent Administration do something that looks so horrible politically?

I think it’s because they’re afraid if Biden is in the White House and Russia does invade, they’d have to yank a barely coherent Biden out of bed and immediately put him in front of cameras. Now they have an excuse not to do that.

Mike

15. I actually can think of something he did that I liked.

He removed troops from Afghanistan.

Yet he did it in the worst possible manner. Getting every aspect of it wrong. So the end result is actually worse than had he done nothing at all.

I guess that is a more technical application of the question. But I think its more accurate

16. “Of course, Biden’s not really the main source of the problem and getting rid of him won’t change that. But they would like someone in there who’s a better pretender at competence and even-handedness.” neo

No such person exists, the proof of which is Jen Psaki’s ludicrous performances. She is reasonably intelligent, certainly has plenty of assistance in crafting the administration’s messaging, yet gets an F-… simply because the left’s actions are insupportable for anyone possessing even the slightest amount of common sense.

17. 17% strongly approve of Biden

I wonder who these weirdos are?-Nonapod

The Democratic base (and to a lesser extent the Republican one) have a built in bottom. I work with enough of them to realize that there is NO circumstance that would change their mind. Most of them believe that simply disapproving of the job he is doing. Is giving aid and comfort to the enemy and therefore high treason.

What nearly any non-fox talking head show and you can find them.

18. j e,

They mean to “fundamentally transform” America into a Marxist State in all but name or failing that, dance upon America’s grave.

Nonapod,

Yes they do have a functioning brain stem. Its just that all data passes through a Marxist filter.

SHIREHOME,

It’s an absolute certainty that they will play that card.

Aggie,

“Probably the worst thing is the inflation – it’s just about impossible to ignore it, if you are on any kind of budget where paying attention is not optional.”

They don’t care, even in the least about those on a budget.

As for those on a budget who are forced to pay attention, a considerable percentage of them are certain that it’s the fault of the evil republicans and those nazi truckers.

WRT Astan: We’e in a fourteen-hundred year war. We abandoned a theater. Whether that’s strategically a good idea….don’t think so.
Problem is, you can’t win a war when the enemy has a sanctuary and Taliban has Pakistan under control of hard-nosed Islamist expansionist ISI intel corps.
However, the catastrophic way in which the skedaddle was run will have emboldened our enemies into doing things far more expensive to us than we gained by leaving Astan. If we’d done it in an orderly fashion, hammering those who got in the way of an agreed upon timetable, it would be different.

20. NEO, please update and correct post!! You misread the poll!! It is MUCH worse for Biden.

26% found “nothing they DIS-approve of” in Biden’s actions. See page 3 of poll summary.

A STUNNING 56% (fifty-six percent!!!) found “nothing they APPROVE of.” See page 4 of poll results.

PLEASE UPDATE POST. Biden merits all the bad press he can get. I hate for your blog to accidentally sugar coat / cover for this dude.

21. VoteYoungkinFor Virginia:

I see what you’re referring to, and I know exactly how I made the error. If you look at page 3, the first sentence right above that chart – a bolded sentence, at that – is this “Respondents who approve of the way Joe Biden is handling his job as president” and then the chart is underneath with “nothing” at 26%. What I had failed to see was that right below that first sentence is the following sentence (not bolded in the text): ” What, if anything, has Joe Biden done as president that you disapprove of.”

So the two sentences contradict each other, and I was looking at the bolded one when actually it’s the unbolded one that follows it that is referring to the chart. I’ll go back and correct the post – thanks for the heads up!!

22. I wonder who these weirdos are? I mean, excluding people actually within Biden’s administration and… I don’t know… members of the Chinese Communist party?

I have a wide range of…well not so much friends (as I see it anyway) as acquaintances. I’d be surprised if the numbers really are that low. Many, many people, especially so-called “smart” people, have a very narrow view of the world. They go along with whatever they perceive, and more importantly have perceived from their youth, as to being what everyone else believes to be true. This is driven by media, news, etc. but also especially by comedy and their own lack of social ideology diversity. No one wants to be made the butt of all jokes and comedians and comedy in general have made normal society, functional society, and obvious common sense the object of derisive humor for a couple of generations now. The ironic thing is that thing have now gotten so absurd, the dumber ones are actually better equipped to see through the BS. Which only compounds the problem with the “smart” ones. I’m not saying that conservatives should live in fear of this fact, and there is definitely a HUGE opportunity right now, maybe the last opportunity, to seize the day/momentum, but don’t fool yourselves into thinking this battle is anywhere near turning the tide sufficiently to correct things. The correction will take long and much effort. There will need to be significant momentum going the other way to effect the changes necessary.

23. Willow is a nice looking cat, however. Hope they treat him better than the Clintons did Socks.
