Sarah Huckabee Sanders is leaving
Too bad, although understandable. Talk about stressful jobs! I thought she was one of the better press secretaries.
Sanders held the job of press secretary under Trump for nearly two years. That’s a long time in this day and age, when under constant harassment from the Trump-haters.
“Remember: for the left, all politics is personal,” Higgins responded, adding that there was an effort to “delegitimize” Sanders’ voice as well as other female figures who support or work for Trump.
“It basically tells you that it’s OK to treat people who disagree with you with disdain and contempt and sort of write them out of the picture,” she said. “And that’s all driven by a very different worldview of who we are as people and what to expect.”
By the way, today is Trump’s birthday. He turns 73. By the standards of today’s politics—what a young’un!
And by the way, when I Googled “Trump birthday” just now to get a link, I had to scroll down quite a bit to find one that wasn’t mocking him or berating him.
I rather like her. Sorry, she’s going. Hope she has something agreeable lined up.
I too think Sanders has been one of the best press secretaries and under more malicious pressure than any before her.
That said, I would like to see her imperturbability combined with a frank, articulate contemptuousness toward the dems and media in the next secretary. Trump needs someone of fierce intelligence in that position.
It’s probably too much to hope for a Jordan Peterson or Dennis Prager…
Sarah Huckabee was a true soldier and lady, and her patience with the ankle biters made that of the biblical Job take second place.
I have a suggestion for her replacement: Mark Levin
The interplay of with the media (especially Acosta) would be something to behold.
In effect, Sanders was like a solo musician you see in the movies, sometimes pictured working a dive bar that has a mesh screen put up, so that the beer bottles and other missiles the bar’s Oh so cultured “patrons” throw at that musician don’t hit him or her.
I don’t know how she stood it.
I think she is considering the governor of Arkansas in 2022.
She would do well and Hutchinson, the present Governor is term limited,.
Mike Huckabee raised a fine young woman. She has done an outstanding job in a very stressful role. Fair winds and following seas, Sarah. Well done.

It’s the Dems who are so often disrespectful of women.
While Mark Levin would be great, I expect the next choice to again be a woman; tho it might be that Pres conferences change.

Sarah Sanders is THE model that all – Republican or Democrat – White House press secretaries should try to emulate.
I was consistently impresssed by her ability to remain cool and articulate under extraordinary pressure. She was also calm and unflappable when the press cameras were off, such as the Red Hen restaurant situation (when the owner refused to serve her and she graciously agreed to leave). Sometimes she took the tone of a fed-up Kindergarten teacher with the WH press, but they certainly deserved it. Sanders Huckabee was a class act, and Trump was lucky to have her on his team.
