A novel approach to the border — 3 Comments

  1. Pueblo sin Fronteras is not gonna give up that easy. Money doesn’t;t grow on trees, you know.

The Pueblo Sin Fronteras (“People Without Borders”) is a project of La Familia Latina Unida, a Chicago, Illinois-based 501(c)(4) illegal immigration advocacy organization formed in 2001 by Elvira Arellano, an activist for immigrants living illegally in the United States. The organization is affiliated with the Chicago-based 501(c)(3) pro-illegal immigration group Centro Sin Fronteras. Together, the organizations have been involved in organizing approximately 1,000 economic migrants from Central America to attempt to cross the U.S. and Mexican borders illegally since 2010.

Open Societies Foundation is funding them.

Pueblo Sin Fronteras organized the caravan in conjunction with the CARA Family Detention Pro Bono Project. The CARA coalition consists of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, the American Immigration Council, the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, all groups advocating for legal status for illegal immigrants and expanded immigration overall. These organizations have been funded by a number of major left-of-center grantmaking foundations, including the Open Society Foundations, MacArthur Foundation, Ford Foundation, and Carnegie Corporation of New York.

  2. The post at Ace gets even more interesting after the initial explanation of why using the same tactics as parents faced with tantrums actually works on (alleged) adults.

“That special breed of TruCon who shows what a Principled Conservative he is by calling for surrender at the first sighting of a media operation.

Maybe it’s time to eject these people from any position of influence or authority.

They are the Defeat Mechanism of the conservative movement, as a friend says. This type always has been, from the first days of Reagan until now.

They’re far more interested in pleasing and appeasing media liberal opinion than their fellow conservatives. Because, on a fundamental level, where it counts, they have an emotional, cultural kinship with the left and the media class that they simply do not have for actual conservatives.

And blood is thicker than ideology — they will always side with the people they feel a cultural connectedness with. Doesn’t matter what ideology they profess to believe; politics is downstream of culture, and culturally, they’re kinsmen of the left.

They will never change, and therefore they simply need to be purged from positions of influence in conservative messaging and leadership.

We have plenty of pressure from progressive coming from the outside; we don’t need our own cadre of internal progressive-aligned saboteurs delivering leftist media pressure from the inside as well.”
