Why would President Trump give up the little toehold we have managed to obtain for ourselves in the grossly imbalanced trade relationship with China? I doubt he will give that up, even though Wall Street thinks there will be a wonderful deal. And why would China do anything but the same endless heel-dragging it has engaged in for the past three or four administrations while it “extracts” all our companies’ technologies for itself? No deal Saturday, it says here.
