On the pending immigration legislation and the House — 9 Comments

  1. A very tiny, tiny bit. Unless he knows that the majority are weak-kneed spineless empty suits.

    Oh whoops 🙂

My question is this- why are the R’s so dumb? They are constantly playing defense on this stuff. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz seem like the only two R’s who have any sense of moving goals forward.

Why wouldn’t Boehner tie this bill, which has no justification for being brought up at the present besides 2014 politics, to an important R goal? “Ok, if you want immigration reform, we want tax reform. The two are linked.” Boom. I mean, play offense for once guys.

  2. It’s Lucy again all right. here’s what leads me to that conclusion.

Boehner KNOWS that democrats want amnesty in order to add at least 11 million socialist voters to their rolls. In 1986, the estimates before amnesty passed were three times less than the actual numbers turned out to be.

Forget 11 million, it’s actually going to be closer to 33 million. That will result in permanent political domination by the left and, America will become a de facto one-party state.

Boehner KNOWS that democrats will NEVER agree to putting border enforcement first. He KNOWS that democrats will never agree to legislation that makes border enforcement mandatory. He KNOWS that democrats will NOT honor any pledge to take up border security after amnesty passes.

Boehner states that, “One of our principles is border security”. while failing to mention that democrats are proposing amnesty.

Boehner has repeatedly said that he wants to get an immigration bill out of this Congress. What’s the rush? Why the urgency?

If Boehner were serious about the immigration problem he’d be talking about how the current legal and illegal immigration favor a refusal to assimilate. He’d be talking about a decade long freeze on immigration and needed legislation to correct the flawed 1965 immigration act. He’d be talking about how the most effective way to halt illegal immigration is by limiting access to jobs and, that the most effective way to do that is to hold employers accountable with mandatory prison sentences.

That he mentions none of these things, speaks volumes.

In addition, if amnesty passes, no one’s mentioning the massive new wave of illegal immigrants that will rush to enter our nation in reaction to free citizenship.

And then there’s this little under reported factoid; the immigration bill being pushed, when combined with President Obama’s health care law, would actually do something much worse than make it easier for employers to hire immigrant workers over American citizens — it would provide a massive financial incentive to do so.

“Under Obamacare, businesses with over 50 workers that employ American citizens without offering them qualifying health insurance could be subject to fines of up to $3,000 per worker.

But because newly legalized immigrants wouldn’t be eligible for subsidies on the Obamacare exchanges until after they become citizens — at least 13 years under the Senate bill — businesses could avoid such fines by hiring the new immigrants instead

When the immigration bill interacts with Obamacare’s employer mandate, it functions as a reverse tariff against hiring American citizens.

It would be like subjecting Americans to a $3,000 tax on purchasing American cars, while allowing them to avoid that tax by purchasing cars from Germany, Japan, or any other country other than America. That’s not free trade.

That’s government rigging the game against American citizens.”

  3. “until after they become citizens — at least 13 years under the Senate bill”

It will not be 13 years. If this passes new legislation will be introduced to make them citizens and eligible to vote in the 2016 election.

  4. But because newly legalized immigrants wouldn’t be eligible for subsidies on the Obamacare exchanges until after they become citizens — at least 13 years under the Senate bill — businesses could avoid such fines by hiring the new immigrants instead…

    Seriously?

  5. parker,

That would be the next incremental probability. It is certainly in the left’s interest that illegal immigrants become eligible to vote ASAP.

Don, Seriously. The provisions are quite clear.

  6. Well…

One side effect will be the complete destruction of the Democrat Party.

    Why?

    How?

It will entirely eliminate the African American voting bloc. In the hard numbers, their votes will not tip the scale either way at the polls. Consequently, the Congressional Black Caucus will step-wise evaporate.

At this time, this bloc is either Communist or Socialist to a man — with, perhaps, a few exceptions.

ENTIRELY taking its place will be a (Mexican-speaking) crew that figures to straddle the parties. At present, Democrats can reasonably expect to pull 60 to 70 percent of their votes.

Unlike the plantation, Mexican-speaking voters are prone to wander — and are typically against most of the Left’s social policies: gays, abortion, marriage, — just the small stuff.

The inevitable upshot: Federal dispensations to the plantation will shrivel, Black power outside of the old south will utterly evaporate as they are internally displaced back towards that old home.

Already Watts (LA) is ex-Black. Maxine Waters is certain to be the last African American representing that district.

The US Census shows that California is emptying out its African Americans — a steady stream for two decades. Bloc voting leaves no crumbs for third place.

Detroit is the future of northern ghettos. First the young and coming leave. Then, within two generations, age and mortality causes political evaporation.

Detroit is a dependency of Michigan. It has been cut off. This is directly linked to the bankruptcies of Chrysler and GM. In a round about way, the Big Three had been taxed to subsidize Detroit.

(Michigan gave any city with a population greater than 750,000 a special ‘kicker’ every year from the general state fund/ the auto industry. Only one city in the state qualified — until it didn’t. Without the kicker, Detroit ‘melted down.’)

What the GOP bigwigs see is that the Democrats have penciled themselves into a ‘coffin corner.’ The end of the Black bloc will transform many, many, local contests. The GOP can — and does — pull Mexican-speaking votes in numbers never, ever, achieved with Black voters.

And, they are very popular with employers — as against Blacks. Much of this is due to the Reverend Wright effect. Only upon Black pulpits do you have raging ranters like R. Wright. Only in Black communities do you have very widespread islamization — as in Nation of Islam. (Not exactly Islam-classic, BTW.)

Instead, Mexican-speakers are Roman Catholic, usually, and the Vatican does not tolerate ranters in the pulpit. (Setting aside LIberation Theology for the moment — an issue which drove the conclave to proclaim Pope Francis.)

So, from on high, pipe dreamers (bongsters) see the Americas becoming an economic mirror to Red China — with the rest of the ‘Spanish’ speaking Americans dropping in to a permanent orbit.

‘Spanish’ is the word — because native Spaniards can’t understand Mexican until they’ve spent three months watching Mexican soap operas. They are now quite far apart. You can’t much use high school Spanish. (Castillian)

(In contrast, Americans, Brits, and Australians can drop in and pick up each others lingo without skipping a beat.)

All of these grand visions will not work out well at all. As Mao, Stalin and Hitler showed — reshaping society is a bloody affair. It’s a terrible hobby. When enough time and blood have passed; then comes the repudiation.

  7. The Left’s plans are not to control people using NSA wire taps.

That is… too crude and not powerful enough for totalitarian systems. Yes, 100% 24/7 data mining of everything a person does is not powerful enough for the Left. It never was.

They were working on something even better than that.

It’s mind control and that’s no joke.
