The FBI has no idea whether the Biden audio recordings about bribes exist or not — 17 Comments

  1. The utter corruption of the FBI (completely partisan and utterly worthless, yet somehow deserving of a very expensive new building) is now beyond question; one of the many reasons to be grateful that Vivek R is in the race (he has no chance of winning, but is certainly the most intelligent candidate for POTUS in many a decade) is that he has promised to dismantle this ghastly organization; no Republican unwilling to attack the FBI (or the equally useless Department of Education) merits serious consideration.

  2. The Congressional delegation was allowed to see the document on the threat of impeaching Wray. Since he acted in bad faith the impeachment should go forward. Had I been the leader of the delegation, I would have gone ballistic on the spot, but that’s me.

  3. The arrogance of that twerp is annoying. His opinion of himself is obviously based on nothing but Biden love.

  4. I don’t see anything that the GOP held House can really do. These hearings are useless. The MSM ignores them, the general public never finds out. They have no real power. That’s why, twerps (thanks Mike K) like this guy, and the rest of the FBI et al are collectively giving the metaphorical middle finger to all of us.

Without the POTUS, and both Houses, nothing is going to happen, and the D’s know it. And we also know there’s no chance of the GOP winning at all.

  5. G-Men in heavy protection mode for the dude with the undisciplined dentures.

  6. like the 28 pages, the documents are redacted to protect the guilty,

  7. physicsguy— that is a rather devastating and comprehensive summary, which completely supports our pessimism.

The next election is held in November 2024 — and yet NOTHING CHANGES.
“WE’RE ON Joe Biden’s Isle!” A Sisyphean tragi-comedy (formerly sung as ‘Here on Gilligan’s Isle’).

You can tell the cover-up is going on in exactly the place they refuse to look.

Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no help. When his breath departs he returns to his earth; on that very day his plans perish. Happy is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps faith for ever; who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry.

What’s wrong is not going to be fixed by putting red lizards in place of blue lizards, even if that were possible. What’s wrong has to be fixed from the bottom up, by individuals working together and using the power they have where they can to reform our institutions where possible, and to replace them with effective new ones where reform is not possible.

It’s going to be way more work than voting, so let’s all vote the right way, see it fail, get it out of our system, and then move on to something effective.

  10. Even if the recordings exist we don’t know that they specifically cover bribes or not. All this is like 5th hand and conflation.

Not saying this to defend the Bidens. I’m saying this is the typical media approach: throw together a bunch of stuff into the same article and allow the audience to conflate them.

Going back to the original Fox news article, this is what we know:

Chuck Grassley says that somebody told somebody at the FBI that he knew the guy at Burisma who was paying the Bidens.

Chuck Grassley says that the same somebody told the same somebody at the FBI that the guy at Burisma told the original somebody that he’d been keeping audio recordings of what he’d said to the Bidens.

Chuck Grassley says the Bidens did actually get money from Burisma.

The conflation comes in assuming that the audio recordings are about the money from Burisma. We have no way to know that, or indeed if the audio recordings ever existed.

But Fox News can get our eyeballs by throwing all that into an article, despite that large chunks of it cannot possibly be known to be true or connected at this time.

  11. Frederick:

I don’t think anyone here has said they know the audios are about the bribes. But the source implied they are, and that should have been investigated by the FBI.

  12. Corruption, Incawpawraded.
(As in, you ain’t seen nuttin’ yet…)

Would explain why Hillary Clinton’s Go-To PLOT for taking down Trump was “Russian Interference”…since WHO knew—WHO KNOWS— better than Hillary Clinton about “Russian Interference”?
AAAND, what better way to HIDE her own corruption vis-a-vis Russia? Pure genius, in fact!…if of the EVIL variety…

Would also go a ways to explaining—along with Russia’s role in “Biden”‘s Iran NON-deal—the “THEATER” of war that is the Ukraine…
    (Masterpiece Theater, in fact…)

Biden, thy name is CORRUPTION? Hmmm.
    Kinda feel sorry for ‘im.
One can understand why the FBI—no doubt ALSO feeling sorry for ‘im—believes it has to, um, “help out”…
(No doubt the FBI feels sorry for Trump, too—and would rather not perform the character assassination of the man that they’re doing…along with destroying the country…but they have their—RELUCTANT—priorities, I guess…and are only following orders—Hey, how’s THAT for absurd commentary!!)

We know that the person who bribed the Biden’s made the recordings. We know the recordings were mentioned in the whistleblower report. We know FBI redacted them.

What would be the likely reason to record Joe and Hunter?

Many indications we have been getting can’t be confirmed, at least until sometime later when more info comes out. But you can draw conclusions from what you know, and that can give you a better understanding of what’s going on. You just need to keep in mind the nature of the facts your conclusions are based on, and be ready to shift those conclusions as needed as more facts come out.

If you wait until you have final proof, you will be far behind.

  14. See no Evil, hear no evil and will speak no evil to fellow Deep State personnel.

  15. the treasury department sanctioned onyshenko the source, not because he was wrong but because he was right, the bureau used danchenko despite the fact he was suspected of being a Russian asset,

  16. They probably weren’t social calls. Not calls about yoga appointments and planning Naomi’s White House wedding. In “normal times,” if people could hear the tapes or read the transcripts, they could connect the payments with the matters discussed and draw the obvious conclusions. Biden would have to resign or be replaced or impeached, even if the evidence couldn’t get a conviction in court, but these aren’t the “normal times” we were promised: the president and his family escape investigation, and opponents are persecuted in the courts.

I suppose things are still “normal” in Britain, or as normal as they could be, since Boris Johnson and others in politics are replaced or forced to resign for things that Democrats routinely get away with over here.
