I ADORE ballet. I was a student for seven years, through the first year of pointe and two years of college–and I still have my first pointe shoes.
I was not the best dancer in my class, BUT I earned the highest score on the test we had to pass on ballet terms.
Ballet is a cruel but sublime mistress.
