Trump’s message — 11 Comments

  1. This short speech hit all the right notes. But it won’t make a whit of difference. The narrative of Trump as a white supremacist is now the mantra. Even though there isn’t a whiff of actual racism in anything his administration has done.

The real racism is performed by politicians who pander to ethnic groups, promising to help them, and then never delivering on those promises. Where are the good schools? Where are the decent jobs? Where are the investments? Where is the law enforcement that makes the ethnic communities safe? A neighborhood where 40 or more shootings most weekends is common is not being well served by its leaders.

What kind of mayors and governors, who swore an oath to protect and defend their constituents from all enemies foreign and domestic, allow their cities to be terrorized, looted, burned, and smashed in the name of something called racial equity? If the violence in the capitol was wrong, and it was, then the 220 riots that destroyed billions of dollars worth of property, killed people, and resulted in the most police deaths since 1974; was catastrophically wrong and worthy of the kind of show of force we are now seeing in DC and around the nation. Had the mayors and governors of just a couple of blue sates reacted as forcefully to quell the first few riots as they are now to the capitol incursion, there would not have been 220 riots last summer. The hypocrisy and double standards are not surprising. It is what they do. But we have to keep pointing it out. If we don’t, they will think we don’t recognize their duplicity.

  2. Clear Trump anti-violence.

No explicit note that the summer riots and violence were from the Dems.

    No mention of election fraud.

Pretty tame speech — looks like his lawyers or speech writers or he himself have chosen to be, at this time, quite “law abiding”. Which is fully consistent with all his prior tweets and speeches.

It’s looks like weakened, tho not yet weak, defeated President not sure where he’s moving on to.

I say a Red State report that Jared & Ivanka convinced him to NOT (yet?) join Gab nor the censored Parler. I have accounts on both, but still prefer blogs & blog comments. So far.

  3. According to PJMedia, near the bottom, Jack Dorsey stated yesterday:

“Having to take these actions fragment the public conversation. They divide us. They limit the potential for clarification, redemption, and learning. And sets a precedent I feel is dangerous: the power an individual or corporation has over a part of the global public conversation.”

“I do not celebrate or feel pride in our having to ban @realDonaldTrump from Twitter, or how we got here. After a clear warning we’d take this action, we made a decision with the best information we had based on threats to physical safety both on and off Twitter,” Dorsey wrote.

“Was this correct? I believe this was the right decision for Twitter.”

Got that? The banning was oh so unfortunate, because Jack loves free speech, but also necessary. Because Jack is all about physical safety. So says one of our insect overlords. (Hat tip Neo. Didn’t realize that phrase came from The Simpsons?)

  4. “Whether you are on the right or on the left, a Democrat or a Republican, there is never a justification for violence, no excuses, no exceptions. America is a nation of laws.” President Trump

I think I understand why he said the above and with all due respect, we have begun to have forced upon us certain extreme conditions, which if they continue or worsen, will make of those assertions, a bunch of bull.

When liberty faces extinction, violence against the perpetrators is always justified. Violence, directed at tyrants and their lackeys and enforcers is always justified.

To be justified, violence must be a reaction against inarguable tyranny, a tyranny under which the linchpins of liberty, our unalienable rights have been ‘canceled’.

America is now a nation of ‘laws’ for democrats, which makes of the law a travesty.

The rule of law either applies to all or it doesn’t exist.

And, when the rule of law no longer exists and tyranny mocks the “consent of the governed” then purposeful violence is the only remaining corrective.

“Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Nations and peoples who forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and freedoms.”

“War is not violence and killing, pure and simple; war is controlled violence, for a purpose.” – Robert A. Heinlein

  6. An excellent short and to the point speech. I think we can see the future developing and it will be “Take Back America”. It will be the GOP, but a GOP where the RINOs are sidelined. It will have specific objectives that can be explained and debated. It will probably take both Houses in 2022. Trump will be vindicated and his accomplishments acknowledged.

I am old enough to remember the war on Nixon. He was very successful and won his second term by a landslide. His sins were nothing compared to what the Democrats did routinely, but they got him. However, after a pathetic Carter term the GOP got Reagan. There are Reagans in the GOP waiting to flower, either as VP heir apparent if Trump runs again or at the head of the ticket in 2024.

  7. T Red is pretty weak, as I have said for years. However that will change, and GB will be pleasantly surprised.

  8. Non-violence is the only way this will work. The huge Stop The Steal crowd expressed moral authority, the guy in fur did not.

Apparently the FBI had good information that trouble was planned. I wonder if the White House was told. This is looking more and more like a setup.

Even AJ of INFOwrrrars was calling for peace. T Red ordered people to go home, and get peaceful.

I suggest people obey those orders if they know what is good for them.

Just until Jan 20th ish so to speak.

  10. “The right decision for Twitter”

I don’t know if banning Trump was “the right decision for Twitter” but stomping on Parler sure was.

  11. No, “peaceful” tyrant lovers. The Real Action will be in the dispersed State Capitols. LOOK THERE on the 20th to find the Voice of The People!
