Leftists triumphant — 33 Comments

  1. The events of the “swarming” of the Capitol were a godsend for leftists, as the incident (hysterically described in the MSM as “insurrection” and “coup”) will provide “justification” for ever more draconian suppression of dissent (today’s actions concerning #walkaway being a perfect example), as was the Wuhan virus, which provided the perfect excuse for lockdowns and enforced control of the citizenry (not to mention the crippling of small business and the enrichment of leftist billionaires), as well as the death of Floyd, which provided the perfect excuse for enforced diversity, the racialization of everything, and the indoctrination of both young and old in BLM/CRT/1619 propaganda.

  2. The Wash Examiner is reporting that evidence of Chinese election interference was scrubbed because the analysts opposed Trump and didn’t want the likes of Sydney Powell to be proved correct and Trump to win in Congress on the 6th.

Ratcliff was kept in the dark by these Traitors. Ombudsman agrees that they blindsided their bosses.

WE NEED A SUITCASE NUKE IN DC to save the Republic. The Left is that evil.

  3. Neo, yes this has been coming for a long time. I thought we might be able to stave it off, but it’s a done deal now. I try to talk to my wife, but she is in “ostrich mode” and doesn’t want to deal with it. I can understand that reaction.

A year ago we attended the funeral of my BiL’s mother. Though that was a sad event, she was 98, and it gave an excuse for the entire family to get together. 7days later I went in for major abdominal surgery. The economy was bustling and generally things looked good. By the end of February I was feeling much better but the storm clouds of Covid were gathering.

Now, a year later, I see nothing ahead but despair and violence descending on the country. The Left will put their boot in our faces and hold it there. As I mentioned on the other post, ordinary people are already lusting for any GOP or conservative person’s blood.

  4. And note that Dos Passos **agreed** with the demonstrators as far as the substance of the protest; he believed that Sacco and Vanzetti were innocent. But he was still astute and honest enough to recognize evil among some of his fellow protestors when he saw it.

    Thanks for the link

  5. You see some riots are more peaceful than others. Did I miss any elected Republican excusing the intrusion of the Capital? Did I hear any elected Democrat decrying the destruction by their shock troops this summer?

  6. I have just written to my Congressman, who is a Pelosi sycophant and won’t listen to me, and to both of my senators, asking them to stop the insanity by voting against any punitive measures against Trump. If the Democrats want the country to be even MORE divided than it already it, they couldn’t do much better.

  7. David Foster:

    You’re welcome.

I also wrote a post on Dos Passos and his reaction to the Spanish Civil War. It’s fifteen years old now, but still timely I think. Here it is.

  8. Stu – what is the Left but the Big Lie, gasbagging and gaslighting, herd driving and groupthink, enforcing double standards and doublethink? Just as Orwell described.

Adding in Gleischaltung dressed up as Woke PC is not some insult. It’s their idea fix, their Utopian way of life.

But there really are four lights. And fake elections have real consequences, too. It shall be so.

  9. Anarchism was big stuff in the late 19th century and early 20th. It still is in places like Greece. Some years ago, I saw a guy on video who possessed the “Wall Street” NYC street sign with holes and pockmarks from an anarchist’s bomb blast.

Don’t forget. President McKinley was killed by a follower of Emma Goldman, though the assassin was found to be insane.

  10. “It’s the women I remember most, their eyes searching out evil through narrowed lids.”

I have similar thoughts when I see those grim-faced young leftist women. The de rigeur mask increases the effect. I’m reminded of a line from one of Bruce Cockburn’s songs: “Bitter little boys and girls from the Red Army Underground”.

  11. Mac…”Bitter little boys and girls”

Several years ago someone posted something like: “If you are bitter, then you are publicly announcing that you are a failure in your own eyes.” I think this is pretty much true…and if so, there are a lot of people in America today who view themselves as failures.

Yet at the same time, there are quite a few people who don’t *appear* to be bitter, and seemingly have no reason to be..financially successful, interesting careers, apparently-good marriages and families…yet who are still aligned with the ‘Woke’ mob. And this is *really* scary.

  12. “If you want a picture of the future, imagine a nasty old Birkenstock stamping on a human face— forever.”

  13. “they certainly would be eager to remove him if they do have those votes, and they would do it even if he had only one day left in his term.”

They were so eager, they called a recess. It took them more time to deliver the last articles of impeachment than is left in Trump’s administration. No, they won’t impeach him in office. But, I won’t put it past them to come up with an argument to impeach him out of office, since it won’t require evidence and can prevent him from running again.

What I think actually will happen is a continuation of whipping up hatred prior to Biden’s Inauguration. Once he’s in, it will all go away, and we will hear how Biden calmed the nation and brought peace.

A few months later, he’ll send an aid package to Iran and destroy the peace accords in the Middle East, but it will be ok, because “everyone knew” that Trump didn’t really bring peace to the Middle East. Folks like Ashli Babbitt will be sent back to the sandbox, only to survive there and come back here to be shot and called an insurrectionist. After all, covering war is good for the media, when Trump isn’t around to be covered.

  14. It occurs to me the feminists have long been leading against humor. Remember:
“How many women does it take to screw in a light bulb?”
    .
    .
    .
    “One.
    And it’s NOT funny!”

The lack of humor and fun is a big loss. As the Joker asked “Why so serious?”

Because stamping out humor, and humanity, aids in redirecting emotions towards anger and dehumanization of those who disagree.

Who were the protesters who actually broke the windows of the door that Ashli was trying to go thru? Ashli was a very enthusiastic Trump supporter, but she wasn’t breaking any windows. It might well be other Trump supporters, or Antifa ringers, breaking the windows.

The window breakers were the violent ones.

The Dems (NOT “the left” – no “Left” on any ballots. Dems won in Georgia. Language matters. Reps need to learn this from the Dems.) will try to use this to justify more demonization, and more attacks against Reps.

Will Reps be better at creating martyrs?
Unarmed Ashli, not dangerous to any person, killed by armed cops instead of arrested?
Trump, as a victim of a stolen election?
It’s sad, but true, that specific victims of injustice are needed to support mass movements for justice.
Individualistic, freedom loving Republicans need to be creating a mass movement for election justice.

  15. The future is a “capitalist” version of the Chinese social credit system. Giant corporations, taken over or acquiescing to woke mobs, will lock you out of conducting commerce unless you think and speak correctly. The government will not help.

It’s going to be like the Green Grocer if you do not obey, they will make your lives miserable.

  16. All collectivist ideologies are at base, totalitarian.

Inherent to totalitarian ideologies is the imperative that disagreement is viewed as treasonous. No other category, like “the loyal opposition” is even remotely acceptable.

Which is why the left will either push America into civil war or make serfs of 95% of a once free people.

  17. Tom Grey….
How many women in some special condition does it take to change a light bulb?
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    7. Okay, it just does, don’t ask.

  18. My recollection is Sacco and Vanzetti were clearly guilty as all hell. This a textbook case of Communist International Committee orchestrating world wide protests.
The communists/marxist/socialist/Democrat Party members hate themselves and nd us.
    First they hate themselves.

  19. Everyone remember the outrage when we learned that the Hillary campaign and the Obama DNC each paid to have thugs incite violence against Trump supporters at Trump rallies in 2016?

  20. Tom Grey–

    [apologies in advance to Neo]

How many therapists does it take to change a light bulb?

Just one, but that light bulb has to really want to be changed.

  21. How many sopranos does it take?.

She holds the light bulb and the world revolves around her.

  22. How many altos does it take to change a light bulb?
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
None. They just sit there and say ” That’s too high, we can’t reach it.”

  23. Milwaukee —

Thank you for the much needed laugh. I hadn’t heard the altos one before.

  24. Tom Grey: the way I heard that joke the only response was “That’s *not* funny.” Personally I think it’s funnier that way.

Which reminds me: I haven’t listened to Rush Limbaugh for many years, but I recall when he first came on the scene in the early ’90s (at least where I live), and I just sort of stumbled across him on the car radio. I recall how refreshing it was to hear somebody openly make fun of the president of NOW and other unpleasant left-wingers. It just was not the kind of thing that one heard in the mass media at the time. They were generally taken with the utmost seriousness.

  25. Terence Popp — the 3 war vet with 32 year long Green Beret Service from Royal Oak, MI — did security at the DC morning Trump rally and after.

What does he say? His encounters with Antifa and their strategy ploys starts at 19m.

    Go here (avoid YT) https://www.redonkulas.com/
And play “Let’s Get Hammered” there for some fun and informative drinking live streamed chat.
    -19 to 27m
    -37m strategy
-49m new details on remote electronic vote changing via the internet.
-60m Organising for CW? Hundreds of militia groups have received Popp’s videos on subject like tactical training and strategy and mil history. They have coms via MeWe.

Good humoured realism! (Despite the horrific facts before us.)
    Ultra Educational.

Talk of 2022 backlash? Electorally??? Despite renewed vote fraud undoubtedly coming? I may have to listen again to examine this contradiction in the discussion.

Oddly enough, a small protest march decrying “Marxist BLM for never” and condemning the Election Steal and Pro Trump occured on Saturday in CBD Auckland, New Zealand.

    Rage marches on even abroad.

  26. “Talk of 2022 backlash? Electorally??? Despite renewed vote fraud undoubtedly coming? I may have to listen again to examine this contradiction in the discussion.”

The fraud worked this time because the weak kneed state legislatures allowed it to happen and the stupid party called Republicans were caught with their pants down and their thumbs up their butts. I just read that Rhonda Rommey was re-elected as head of the RNC. GAWD!!!!!

But we are aware now and so are the state legislatures because now they are aware that THEIR jobs are at stake. So the old fashion Jim Crow ballot box stuffing will not be as effective nor the mail in ballots. Plus for the blue states there will be a lot less seats to fight over. It’s gonna be a fun time.

But we have to act now and with purpose.

  27. Carl Benjamin at the lotus eaters.com (the former Sargon of Akkad, Ed by censorial “deplaforming” enemies of the people’s Liberties), has the single best 20 minute debunking of the Trump protest=INSURRECTION dumbassery.

Swamp creatures don’t grasp that Leftists ALWAYS lie? ALWAYS? After Trump has proved this to the doubting Thomas asses on the Right over and over and over again. It’s beyond any reasonable excuse; they were obviously bought off by our richest Ruling Class (“eat up your shit sandwiches” they say to us peons).

CB uses Leftist and Right video to SHOW what happened, and then compare the vaporous alarums in print by them to what the videos show.

On a scale of 1 – 10, a 3 — they say. Antifa in Portland for four months or 100 days did more and worse daily.

The “Insurrection “ amounts to pepper spray, group shoving and punches exchanged. I’ve seen worse between cops and Antifa in Denver and Northern CO demos last summer.

Hah! What in Portland was worse? Projectiles, intended to harm. Fire bombs at the cops. All manner of Arson. Massive group shoving and mass damages.

That’s easily DOUBLE TO TRIPLE worse than the Rally before Treason day, Jan6th. So 5 or 6 to 8.

  28. The impulse is strong in the local gentry as well as the mighty elites.

From my sister “get rid of white males”. Was a non-profit foundation director.

From a classmate recently retired as an Assistant State Attorney General, discussion of disenfrachizement of Trump voters.

    All this after the election.

  29. Cappy…”From my sister “get rid of white males”.”

Arthur Koestler’s 1950 novel The Age of Longing features a protagonist who finds herself unable to be attracted to American or European men…but falls hard for a committed Russian Communist. I think it is quite relevant to our own current situation.

  30. One bigger picture issue is how the elevation of Individualism has not produced a population of rugged free-thinkers. Instead, people divorced from natural, traditional affiliations now desperately glom onto to shoddier, flimsier connections. And while I can’t Americans are getting wimpier and nerdier, wimps and nerds definitely play a larger role in our public life.

A legion of books and plays and songs and films have been written by wimps and nerds unhappy with jocks running the world. Well, what has a world run by nerds gotten us? “Grownups” who know more about Hank Pym than Homer and leaders who’ve spent the last 30 years just waiting for a totalitarian menace to become the most powerful nation on Earth.

    Mike

  31. From sociological interest, I still subscribe to the listserve of my former Washington, DC neighborhood. No room here to go into all the frightening things they are saying (and in any case, I imagine the talking points are the same across the left universe). But I thought this invitation to a virtual lecture was a good indication of the tack these guys will be taking:

    “Neighbors,

“Please see the link below for an upcoming free lecture on the terrorist attack at the Capitol.

    “https://www.eventbrite.com/e/domestic-terrorism-strikes-us-capitol-and-democracy-tickets-136066872679?aff=ebemoffollowpublishemail&utm_term=%22Domestic+Terrorism+Strikes+U.S.+Capitol%2C+and+Democracy%22&utm_medium=email&utm_content=follow_notification&utm_source=eventbrite&utm_campaign=following_published_event

    [name of sender removed]

“The CJC invites you to Dr. Bruce Hoffman’s (virtual) lecture analyzing Wednesday’s domestic terrorist attacks on the U.S Capitol.

    “About this Event

“RSVP required. Only those who register will receive the Zoom link to access the lecture.

“On January 7, pro-Trump rioters violently breached the U.S. Capitol and disrupted the electoral process. How did we get here? In his recent analysis of domestic terrorism for the Council on Foreign Relations, CJC Director Bruce Hoffman stated that “these events have undermined faith in the sanctity of American institutions and constitutional values.” “America is now at an epochal moment, which calls for strong moral leadership and sober reflection.” With eleven days left until President-elect Biden’s inauguration, Professor Hoffman will discuss the implications of the terrorist act and the challenges it poses to the incoming administration.”

This will go far beyond social media bans, I’m afraid.
