COVID vaccine news: now it can be told
Of course, [Pfizer] announced less than a week after the election that its COVID-19 vaccine is 90% effective in the latest study.
Pfizer also said it would ask to put the vaccine on the market “if pending data indicate the vaccine is safe.”
I hear a rumor that the Nobel Prize committee is planning to give Joe Biden the prize for medicine.
I’ll be very happy if a vaccine is available that’s effective and safe. New York’s Governor Cuomo, though? He wants to delay distributing it until Biden takes over, because Biden will do so much better at that. And of course, Cuomo is the go-to authority on how best to deal with COVID administratively, since his approach was such a raging success.
From skimming the info, it appears that they had announced a particular case count at which they were going to provide this update. They waited until nearly three times that count before they just happened to announce this a week after the election.
This news could have been released 10 days ago. Pfizer held it. Trump was bragging about how he lowered drug prices and how Big Pharma hated him. And they do.
Biden surely cut a deal with Big Pharma. I understand that Hunter Biden, a real drug expert, worked out the bribe details any payment. Quid pro quo: Hold the announcement until after the election and Joe will reverse Trump’s Order on lowering drug prices. Hunter and Joe split $50m – $100m.

Should Trump somehow prevail, Pfizer can always retract. (Claim they misinterpreted data and need to do some more R&D to work out the kinks.)
Cornhead, my MoTR wife looked at me today and said, “Funny how they waited until after the election to announce this.” She’s learning. She also was a bit taken aback by her sister who voted for Trump 2016 and voted Biden this year, with the remark about “how could anyone vote for that senile old man who is totally run by his wife?” Too bad there weren’t more like her.

Washington State decreed that when a vaccine is available that the especially vulnerable will be vaccinated first, and after that it will go on the basis of “equity” — i.e. blacks and Native Americans supposedly are more affected by Covid (but not fatally, according to the State’s own figures) and therefore will get priority access.
The democrat party long ago became the party of death. The tens upon tens of thousands of Covid deaths that are directly attributable to democrat governors, the media, the WHO, the CDC and ‘Dr.’ Fauci are just the latest chapter in the litany of their destruction.
Apparently Pfizer tried to deny this was part of Operation Warp Speed, but had to backtrack when their press release from July bragging about it surfaced.
The Pfizer release is disturbing in terms of its timing. Intentional delay?

Oh yes. My county in CA is roughly in the middle of the pack of CA counties for Covid cases. But we get stuck with the lowest state rating, used for re-opening purposes, because of a poor equity rating. The county has its beautiful wealthy communities and its middle class and poorer agricultural communities and latter have a much higher incidence of Covid cases. This must be an economic disparity situation!
Except that there are a large number undocumented immigrants in those Ag. communities which we know travel back to Mexico and Central America with great frequency. But those travel contacts are not traced.

Are blacks and Hispanics affected/infected more by Covid than whites? Maybe. I’ve read that vitamin D is such an important factor for one’s innate immune system, that anything that leads to less vit.D could be a factor. Darker skin will reduce the amount of sunlight reaching the part of the skin than produces vit.D.
On the other hand, I noticed that a few months into the epidemic the worst region of the greater Los Angeles area was West Hollywood (predominantly Caucasian), whereas East LA (where blacks and Hispanics live) did much better. But don’t talk about that and muddle the “equity” narrative.
Zeke Emanuel, who will be one of those telling China Joe what to do, thinks that the vaccine should be distributed to the rest of the world first.

Is this because he really thinks the vaccine won’t work and wants to protect the American proles that as taxpayers helped fund this in Operation Warp Speed? This is the guy that thinks once you reach age 75 you should be given the “red pill” (or blue, I forget which Obama said) and allowed to die. He has also said recently that at 75 you should not be given a flu shot. Of course he magnanimously applied the 75 age to himself too. On that I wish him Godspeed.

Also, i would not take any vaccines. It is too risky. Do you all really think they wont bd like gates and soros, pulling a bait and switch? Even trump s warp speed is questionable.
