Murder in New Jersey — 22 Comments

  1. a notorious “men’s rights” attorney

Bigoted assessment. That said, diversity (e.g. female chauvinism a.k.a. “feminism”) breeds adversity.

  2. That Salas was “lazy and incompetent” may or may not be correct. Hard for us to know, one way or the other.
I do note she is another Obama appointee, another Latina.

The story is notable for its peculiar phrasing: “Authorities believe”; “…who may have died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds”; “Den Hollander is a notorious ‘mens-rights’ attorney whose vitriolic website…”
    Believe? May have? Notorious? Vitriolic?

    Maybe someone murdered him.
Who knows? The authorities believe what?!

Motive? “Men’s rights” come up in family courts, not in Federal District cases, so imputed revenge seems less than likely.
It is clear to me the story’s tone would be very different had Hollander been an ardent XX feminist.

  3. Be worth looking at his website. Men’s rights guys get pretty upset.
Still, what with the uniform and all, he took his time putting this together. Long-building resentment instead of just snapping.

  4. As far,as the alleged killer lawyer….. well dead men tell no tales. Anything remotely connected with Epstein should invoke skeptics to surface appearances. Too many of the rich and powerful involved.

  5. ABC7 New York’s lead:

“The suspect, who died by apparent suicide, was identified as Roy Hollander, a Manhattan lawyer and self-described anti-feminist, sources briefed on the case told ABC News.”

    A “self-described anti-feminist”.

  6. Don’t think for one minute that this act will go unnoticed by ANTIFA, BLM and other like minded organizations.
Prior to the time the Bolsheviks seized power in Russia, they used political assassinations as one sleeve of their terror activities. Ditto the pro-Hitler organizations in the late 1920’s, early 30’s in pre-Nazi Germany.

  7. JimNorCal: thanks for the link.
Hollander was no academic lightweight, that’s for sure. Law School with High Honors led to his first job at Cravath, Swain & Moore, which is perhaps the most prestigious law firm in the US. Admitted to plead in SCOTUS.

Let’s see what the evidence shows. That he was an anti-feminist will not endear him to our everloved MSM. I’m no feminist, either; Title IX has led to many perversions of its original intent.

  8. Then again she was also going to handle the Epstein-related class action against Deutsche Bank. Objective fact and data point that bears mentioning.

More clued-in to the finance world people in this blog I’m sure… but it’s well-known that Deutsche Bank is in a world of financial *and* legal trouble over a whole bunch of things — not all of which are US-related. Still, a US Court and an activist judge looks like a gasoline-powered can opener crossed with a struck off proctologist from Alpha Centauri cf. the cozy Euro-Club regulatory system. Never know what might come out in the wash.

What was it Voltaire said about the execution of Admiral Byng? To Encourage the Others.

Conspiracies, Conspirashies… it is to laugh.

As for Men’s Rights Lawyers knocking off the odd activist feminist judge. Poor form, doubtless. But again see Admiral Byng.

Very convenient that a White Male Villain from Central Casting shows up on cue with gigantic neon arrow pointing straight at him. Not to say he didn’t do it; often criminal stuff is that straightforward and sordid per Dalrymple.

  9. there was also the murder of three in polk county…
not as sensational… but sad for it was three fishing friends and the son was dying in dads arms who ran for help… then the son died…

as to this judge and her family
    no one knows why yet
the assumption is Epstein, but that makes little sense
she had only been on the assignment for less than a week
now she will recuse, and someone else will take it up
    it could have been random..
it could have been from her or her husbands gang related cases

    time may tell
    but if really a pro
    time will not say anything..

  10. ““Hollander, a self-avowed anti-feminist lawyer, had a case pending before Salas challenging the military’s male-only draft policy, The Daily Beast reported.”

The male-only draft policy was declared unconstitutional some years or maybe a couple of decades ago, so this does not exactly ring true.

  11. Cicero:

I had wondered about the draft case myself because we’ve had an all-volunteer military for years. FWIW, the draft case that involved Hollander started in 2015. According to Heavy, Hollander wrote an online book in which he said the following about the judge: “The case began over the July 4th weekend of 2015, and was assigned to this hot Latina Judge in the U.S. District Court for New Jersey whom Obama had appointed. At first, I wanted to ask the Judge out, but thought she might hold me in contempt,” Den Hollander wrote in the book.

However, Salas didn’t side against Den Hollander’s cause, although the case is still pending. Den Hollander expressed upset with her handling of the case anyway. In March 2019, USA Today reported, Judge Salas “allowed a legal challenge to the male-only military draft, increasing the pressure on Congress to decide whether any future conscription should apply equally to men and women – and whether the requirement to register should exist at all.”

The plaintiff was a New Jersey woman, Elizabeth Kyle-Lebell, who tried to register for Selective Service twice. According to USA Today, Salas “dismissed Kyle-Labell’s argument the male-only draft requirement deprived her of due process, but allowed another one – that a male-only draft deprives women of ‘equal protection of the law’ – to proceed.”

In his book, Den Hollander discussed the draft case and Salas by name. “Unfortunately, Judge Esther Salas granted DOJ a do-over of its prior motions to dismiss the case for lack of ripeness under Rule 12(b)(1) and failure to state a claim under Rule 12(b)(6). Judge Salas had never made a decision on those motions.”

I’m not a lawyer, so can’t comment on the legal intricacies of Kyle-Lebell’s case; however, Hollander seems to have been a tormented man in many ways: he dedicated his online book “To Mother– may she burn in Hell.”

More here, if you want to wade through Hollander’s various grievances:
    https://heavy.com/news/2020/07/roy-den-hollander-book-esther-salas/

The problem for Neo and her commenters is that Hollander was pro-Trump and sued Chuck Todd, David Brooks, and others for lying about Trump. You can bet the Left will have a field day with this info.

  12. More is starting to come out regarding this – Den Hollander had terminal cancer and this may have had a bearing on his behavior.

  13. When assassins kill, and then they are killed, this closes the evidence loop, same with Oswald.

It also prevents the perp from disclosing whatever other co conspiractors they may have contact with. Like getting Epsteined.

Prior to the time the Bolsheviks seized power in Russia, they used political assassinations as one sleeve of their terror activities. Ditto the pro-Hitler organizations in the late 1920’s, early 30’s in pre-Nazi Germany.

I heard there will be more targeted assassinations, sorta like the MS13 cases Trump tweeted about.

What have America’s guns and ammo done to stop the 40k slaughtered inUS concentration camps aka nursing homes?

They are killing you guys off piece meal, and the best people can do is argue on social media. That sounds like a recipe for “can’t get tired of winning”? Amateurs at this war thing activating.

Were there assassinations, lynchings, and beatings before Civil War 1 in USA? yes, there was quite a lot of that actually. The major cases can be found in Utah vs Federal army, Kansas vs Missouri.

  14. How convenient, 2 birds with one stone. This alleged killer was probably no where near the scene of the crime.

  15. Yacov D:

As I wrote in the last sentence of my post, “no doubt conspiracy theorists will differ.”

  16. At this point, with all we KNOW about Epstein et al, the burden falls on people who think it was just a lone crazy to prove their case. Go ahead coincidence theorists, prove he wasn’t a patsy.

OK, only half joking. But seriously, THIS guy, THIS judge and on THIS case? Banksters with ties to the Epstein circle of hell? After the absolutely brazen chutzpah from mainstream liars and frauds that’s NOT hidden, but rather out in the open (protests don’t spread chinaids if it’s about blacks and Cuomo’s appalling victory lap come to mind)? What odds do you give for this story goes down the same hole where they’re keeping Stephen Paddock? I put it at 80% that something stinks. I’ll revise my odds downwards if the media bang away at this for more than a few days. If it disappears like Mr Las Vegas…100%.
