Joe’s a fighter — 51 Comments

  1. I am still in awe of a recent event that completely busted my world-view framework.
At a time when Biden was written off
    1) all Dem leaders everywhere agreed on Biden
    2) southern black voters bought into it
    3) candidates dropped out and groveled or, in the case of Warren, stayed in to limit Bernie
    4) Dems everywhere (and the media) turned on a dime and signed on

This has been a fascinating example of the Dem “hive mind”. I’m both appalled and impressed

  2. Video documentary evidence that Biden is a vulgar, low-life bully.

If the senile swine didn’t have his security detail with him, he wouldn’t dare spit an expletive at a younger, stronger man. He followed up the swearing by pointing his finger in the man’s face – at that point the young man advised Biden his gesture was inappropriate. This ambulatory mummy deserves whatever humiliations await him on the campaign trail.

  3. Wow, he can still remember those four-letter words!!

Not bad for a dementia-addled thug.

Showing us that you haven’t lost it altogether.

    Way to go, Joe!!

  4. Somehow I don’t think hard-hat guys are going to be recruited to vote for Joe if he tells them they’re full of sh*t and says he’d like to slap them.

Joe’s idea of the Second Amendment, per this video, is that people can be allowed to have shotguns with limited amounts of ammunition, but semi-automatic weapons that look scary must be banned — if that’s what he meant by “AR-14.”

  5. This guy’s only blue collar associations are made up by the media. He’s never worked a blue collar job in his life, none of his family are blue collar. It’s all made up! The blue collar demo is just the same as any other demo: They’re either Pro Joe or Anti Joe. Pro Joe is lied to with a smile. Anti Joe is lied to rudely.
Biden’s rep as a “blue collar guy” is the same as his rep as a “nice guy.” Total Fiction. Also, he was always stupid and mean. Now he’s stupid, mean, and mentally fading so extra stupid and extra mean.

  6. Video from the same event shows a bunch of the guys shouting “Trump, Trump, Trump!” The voices in his head warned him that he had wandered into the Land of the Unfriendlies and he took action. None of that malarkey will be tolerated!

  7. Don Surber reports Bloomberg has taken action.
“Ruiz wrote, “When the multibillionaire Michael R. Bloomberg hired an army of staff members for his presidential campaign, he lavished them with salaries that were nearly double what other candidates were paying. His campaign also promised something rivals could not match: job security through the general election, even if he dropped out of the race.

“But now, less than a week after Mr. Bloomberg, the former mayor of New York, left the Democratic presidential race — endorsing former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and pledging to put his vast resources behind him — hundreds of Mr. Bloomberg’s field organizers and regional organizing directors around the country are suddenly without jobs, having received emails on Monday that encouraged them to keep their campaign-issued electronics as a sort of severance payment.””

Don notes, but the Leftie article doesn’t, that many of these people bragged about working for other campaigns or goofing off while being paid by mini Mike

    https://donsurber.blogspot.com/2020/03/mini-mike-fires-con-men-staffers.html

  8. This is absolutely shameful. But I am looking forward to Trump beating Biden to a rhetorical pulp.

If I was there I would have said, “At least I’m not senile like you obviously are.”

  9. Gropey Joe is going to find his fingers broken off one of these days.
He is within punching distance of that guy…and his first response to being challenged is “you’re full of shit” & jabbing his fingers in the guy’s face. Secret Service would have a hard time getting in front of the first blow.

  10. Just so no one misses it, what we’re witnessing is the end of a generational transformation of the Democratic Party. The party of the 1968 convention and Will Rogers’ “I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a Democrat.” now stands revealed to the world as a herd of easily led sheep who swallow anything they’re given without complaint or pause.

Heck, they might beat Trump this year but the long term prospects for a party by and for oligarchs and white suburban professionals that pretends to be of minorities, youth, and the downtrodden are very, VERY dim.

Sounds a lot like the instant switch in the CPUSA when Hitler broke the pact with Stalin: Everyone in the Party turned on a dime from supporting Germany to opposition.
Too many references to need links.
Today, there are just a few changes in demographics – and the Democratic Party was not synonymous with Communism at the time – but it’s the same playbook.

    Here’s a picture worth a thousand words.

The moral of that story is, bribe your politicians directly instead of through a second party.
Not sure I have too much sympathy for the company James Biden conned, although I feel sorry for their employees and patients, but spreading around that much money on the basis of what appeared to be no measurable results was pretty stupid.

Wouldn’t it be funny if the Bidens all took DNA tests and discovered they weren’t actually related?

The staffers kind of pushed the envelope here; even Bloomberg shouldn’t be expected to keep paying cheaters. However, it doesn’t look like he exercised much oversight.
In addition, I suspect he would have been just as punctilious about keeping his campaign promises.
My approval of President Trump grows every time he at least tries to nail down another of his platform planks; although I didn’t agree with all of them, he really is WSYIWYG for a change.

Interesting comment at Surber’s post, which is a speculation I have seen before.

A fool and his money are soon parted. Mini Mikes whole purpose of his “run” was to funnel money to candidates without violating the laws. By being a candidate he was able to do this and he also was able to fund other orgs that were/are working for the DNC and other candidates by saying he was paying them for working for him.

It was always a funding scam.

The Goldwater rule is Section 7 in the American Psychiatric Association’s Principles of Medical Ethics, which states that it is unethical for psychiatrists to give a professional opinion about public figures whom they have not examined in person, and from whom they have not obtained consent to discuss their mental health in public statements.Wikipedia

Sundance may be right in general, but perhaps not on the particular offices proffered.
However, I don’t want the country to be in the position of comparing his predictions to an actual Biden administration.

  16. It’s also really funny reading some people tonight who are so pleased with Biden winning when they obviously haven’t gamed this thing out even one move ahead.

What are the odds that Biden both wins and goes on to be a successful President? Pretty slim. This guy has looked like an awful candidate this entire primary season, even now. And what policies does Biden either believe in or at least enable? Neoliberal military adventurism and genuflection at the altar of free trade global capitalism. Odds are he’s either going to lose or try to resurrect ideas the majority of the country are sick of.

So, we’re most likely going to either get a re-elected Trump or a disaster of a Biden Administration with, in either case, the activist Left now hating the Democratic establishment more than they do the GOP.

    Where’s my popcorn?

    Mike

  17. An interesting view of why what Biden does is not okay, even for some Democrats, but it’s not, in their view, you know, wrong.

    https://amgreatness.com/2020/03/09/the-cowardice-of-our-half-trained-relativistic-elites/

American elites have embraced a subjective view of reality. But their educations were incomplete: a true commitment to relativism requires one to abandon the prerogative to make universal claims to truth. But they can’t do that since it’s their ticket to power.

  18. Good analogy, AesopFan, re Hitler/Stalin.
There was, of course, a similar sea tide change in Russia itself LOL.

  19. Paul in Boston: “Sundance … predicted this would happen. It’s the Deep State’s attempt to retain power and perks.”

I read that Rush made a similar statement, though related to insiders not former candidates. That on the face of it, supporting a mental incompetent and sure loser makes no sense. But it allows various Dem poohbahs to retain jobs in the Party and influence as pundits/consultants. More important to the insiders than anything requiring integrity or competent leadership of the nation they live in.

  20. Just saw a video of a Biden staffer, with a hand on Biden’s arm, guiding an increasingly frail looking Biden into his car.*

Seen this same “guiding” at places where a lot of disoriented and “bewildered” seniors live, and can’t remember where to go.

Are we getting to the point where Biden will soon just be shoved into an SUV like a side of beef–a la Hillary?

Honestly, given the apparent accelerating rate of Biden’s mental decline, I don’t think he will even last to the mid-July Democrat Convention.

    * See https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/03/does-this-man-seem-at-all-well-donald-trump-jr-highlights-latest-disturbing-video-of-joe-biden-asks-the-obvious-question/

  21. Cont’d–Thus, I expect that there is a lot of frantic maneuvering and deal making, going on behind the scenes, by Democrats who are trying to get positions in the group of people who are actually going to be in charge of and will have to run a “Biden Administration” if Biden should somehow win.

  22. As we speak, DNC nabobs, after scouring the world, have located the world’s most skilled taxidermist.

The only problem is he lives smack in the middle of Milano.

There is, of course, very talented backup at the American Museum of Natural History. (But the potential alternate is said to be really pissed over playing second fiddle to a foreigner. so who knows what the result would be.)

  23. As I view Biden’s almost daily decline into senility, I am more and more favoring the idea that, if the Democrats somehow manage to get Biden to the Convention, Biden will, citing his “health issues” i.e. mental decline–and “with great sorrow”–pull out “for the good of the nation.”

At which point the Democrat Party power brokers will ensure that a substitute, of their own choosing, will be the new Democrat Presidential candidate to run against Trump.

  24. “At which point the Democrat Party power brokers will ensure that a substitute, of their own choosing, will be the new Democrat Presidential candidate to run against Trump.”

  25. It won’t be Hillary. She’s done, she’s not a winner. never will be, and they know it.

  26. MBunge–Actually, of all the occupants of the Democrat Clown Car, I think that Klobuchar–from outward appearances and statements, more grounded and relatively “moderate” when compared against all the other further left clowns–might be the Democrat’s best choice.

Not saying that she could beat Trump, but that, out of the the car’s occupants, she seems the least offensive, least radical, closer to the center, apparently the one with the least baggage, and, thus, the most electable.

    And besides, she’s a” womyn.”

  27. “…not a winner…”

Actually, she doesn’t have to be a winner…any more than Biden has to be “compos mentis”.

As long as the algorithms are in place, locked and ready.

(Oh, and the more write-in ballots the merrier!)

  28. Another whiner.

Looks like the attacks against the Supreme Court are concerted, planned and organized and will gather steam in the months ahead.

Trump’s stumped ’em. Time to go for the soft underbelly, I guess. Thugs, all of ’em.

    Really just another case of:
“I lost because of the Russians!”
“The Electoral College has got to go!!”
“The Constitution supports immoral legislation (and is therefore unconstitutional!!?)”
“The country was founded on slavery!!!”
“Trump is unfit, corrupt, immoral and totally nuts! Same for everyone who supports him!!”
“So what if no evidence was found for collusion. Everyone knows he’s guilty!!”
“The Republicans want to destroy the country!!”

Well, they’ve lost the impeachment sweepstakes (so far, at least).
Ergo it’s now time to go after the Supreme Court.
(Because they’re “patriots” all and so very concerned about the future of the USA….)

Yep, the party of values and “love of country”…..

  29. Jennifer Griffin, twitter: 2 Americans and 1 Brit were killed when 15 Katyusha rockets landed at Taji Base in Iraq at about 7:52 pm local time today. “ISIS doesn’t have this capability,” I am told by a US military source. The US military is still treating the wounded right now, which number more than 11. https://mobile.twitter.com/JenGriffinFNC/status/1237831760207130625

Joe — being a fighter — can be queried how he would deal with this? Today, would be good. We’ll be seeing how Trump deals with it within the next few days, I expect.

  31. How much longer do you think this coronavirus thing goes before Democrats and the media start to wonder if having a seeming dementia patient as their figurative leader might not be that great a look after all?

By TOM COTTON March 11, 2020 12:45 PM

Despite the occasional box-checking, wishy-washy comment slapping Beijing on the wrist for the worst of its abuses, the reality is that the former vice president’s support of the People’s Republic of China is deep and longstanding.

Since 2015, Democrats have claimed hysterically that Donald Trump is a Russian agent. On the other hand, it’s ridiculous to say Biden is a Chinese asset — if he were, his handler would tell him to oppose China here and there to build credibility. But China can count on Joe Biden always to take China’s side.

The competition between the United States and China, strategic and economic, will define the next century for our nation. We will need to be led by presidents for whom there’s no question as to which side they are on

  33. In 2016, we all saw Clinton’s fainting spells, coughing fits and limited public appearances and asked openly if she was in good enough health to be running for President, let alone serving as President. Did Democrat voters see the same things?
In 2020, we all see Biden’s incoherent answers, physical threats against voters and limited public appearances and ask openly if he’s in good enough health to be running for President, let alone serving as President. Do Democrat voters see the same things?
If so, why don’t they speak up about it? Shouldn’t they be concerned for Biden’s health? Weren’t they concerned for Clinton’s health?
If not, why not? Is it confirmation bias on our part? Is it Trump hatred uber alles for them?

  34. NewYorkCentral – this post by Doc Zero *John Heyward) kind of answers your question. It’s short, so better to read the whole thing than an excerpt.

    https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1237391106536435712.html

If you think you’ve seen gaslighting before, just wait until you get half a year of Biden supporters screaming several times per day that he didn’t say whatever insane thing you just saw him say on video.
