  1. Just note AOC thinks we have a global climate change problem with beef cattle . . . isn’t it a bit odd she’s willing to stop there?

  2. I’ve been seeing these headlines. Seriously, I’m supposed to care one way or another about this?

  3. I actually believe Swalwell on this. It seems like someone just took advantage of an awkward pause and added the sound. Im sure some sound engineer will soon be able to prove it also.
Beside we all know Swalwell would never remove his head from his ass long enough for this kind of emanation.

  4. Amit Pai, FCC Chairman, responding to the suggestion that “The FCC should investigate what @ericswalwell just did, that disgusting, vulgar display has no place on live television.”:

I hate to cause a stink, but we have to decline the invitation; any @FCC investigation would abruptly run out of gas given that this alleged emission occurred on a cable news network (the relevant rules apply only to broadcast television).

  5. This fart has lingered! People still discussing it days later. Everything and anything is political.

I have read several articles about Pai, and he seems to be that rare thing: a politician with a sense of humor.
When he leaves the administration, maybe he will moonlight at the Babylon Bee.

Oh, this is not a new subject.

Fart Proudly: Writings of Benjamin Franklin You Never Read in School

A mention of flatulence might conjure up images of bratty high school boys or lowbrow comics. But one of the most eloquent—and least expected—commentators on the subject is Benjamin Franklin. The writings in Fart Proudly reveal the rogue who lived peaceably within the philosopher and statesman. Included are “The Letter to a Royal Academy”; “On Choosing a Mistress”; “Rules on Making Oneself Disagreeable”; and other jibes. Franklin’s irrepressible wit found an outlet in perpetrating hoaxes, attacking marriage and other sacred cows, and skewering the English Parliament. Reminding us of the humorous, irreverent side of this American icon, these essays endure as both hilarious satire and a timely reminder of the importance of a free press.

  7. I hesitate to dwell here . . . but modern technology has moved on from whoopie cushions . . . so, if you dare, search youtube for “fart spray prank” and enter a world of hilar-i-vile. It’s what one might expect.
