That’s one of the reasons this story is heartening and satisfying, and offers encouragment about the generation coming of age in America today. These guys are in the mold of classic American heroes, and that includes their humility.
So right, Neo. And even if our President said it only for political purposes, it is the truth. I know for myself, I look around in my immediate sphere and I like what I see in the young adults (my own children, their friends and my friends’ children). It does give me hope.
That story made the last page of the metro section of the Washington Post. Obviously not news. Reminds me of a comment by TV news anchorman David Brinkley in an interview. He said that the news is whatever he finds interesting or something to that effect.
Which one of these five objects is unlike the other four?
If the three really felt honored, that is good.

How one can get hope out of a fake self serving bs thing is beyond me… then again, women rub fruit on themselves to be ageless, think badboys with crappy personalities and who cheat make great fathers, that they can survive if none of them have babies, etc… (the rest of the men are neutered by obama policies, feminist campus, title ix, and so on… but taking advantage is seen as hopeful… sure. yeah, whatever you say)

I just realized what Barry Soetoro reminds me of: those loons in the TV on-scene standups who prance and wave and moon the camera behind the reporter, doing ANYTHING to shoehorn themselves into whatever the story of the moment is.
Tune in to the NFL: he’s there. Watch the Olympics: he’s there. Major league baseball: he’s there. The show biz awards shows: he’s there. This jackass shows up in every single public venue imaginable — but he just can’t make it to any National Threat Assessment briefings, or hold any Cabinet meetings, or get his lazy butt into the Oval Office before 10:30.
Bush, whatever you think of him, was always in that office at 7 am sharp. And he didn’t put his dirty shoes on the presidential desk, either.
Also, not for nothin, but he really has a brass set, praising our young men for fighting jihadis when he has done more than any “US person”* to enable and unleash the radical moslems throughout the Middle East.
*Obama’s term he prefers to “American citizen.”
