If Brian Williams has to go,… — 19 Comments

  1. You make an excellent point, Neo, but I doubt that we will hear much about it from the MSM. We seem to have gotten used to the idea the politicians, and especially the Clintons, lie about almost everything.

  2. At this point, what difference does it make?

Lying clearly doesn’t bother most people. The President’s approval ratings have bounced back up a bit and his lies are legion. So are his stupid comments. People either agree with him, don’t mind (or like the lying) or are just that stupid, and none of those options is good.

What puzzles me, and maybe it’s because I don’t read the right sources, is who will actually run for the Democrat nominee in 2016. Hillary Clinton may not run… she’s already older than Reagan was at his inauguration. Ditto Elizabeth Warren. The only other potential candidate I’ve heard discussed was Joe Biden, and that was to suggest he could give token competition to Hillary to make her look better.

Meanwhile, the Republican potentials are numerous, and the field is exciting. Some of these candidates are even good.

Seeing as how Obama’s election was supposed to be the bellwether for the Republicans generation-long exile to the political periphery, who is that that they think will carry on his legacy?

  3. I agree. Hillary would be an excellent replacement for Brian Williams on NBC Nightly news.

    Her sign off?

“And that’s the news. At this point, what difference does it make?”

  4. Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren isn’t far behind. Her lie is just as egregious, maybe more so. She actually benefited from it.

  5. Lying is a form of cheating in that both seek to gain unwarranted advantage and avoid negative consequence.

“According to a survey of 23,000 high school students in public and private schools conducted by The Josephson Institute Center for Youth Ethics, 51% of high school students admitted they had cheated on a test during the past year. The study also found that 74% of students say they have copied another student’s homework. Research also shows that students with high reasoning abilities cheat as much as those with low levels of reasoning abilities. All this data suggest that cheating too often is the rule, not the exception.

The issue of cheating is fundamentally one of character.”

Why would the half of America strongly inclined to vote for a woman democrat nominee for President worry about an ‘inconsequential’ lie, when it simply mirrors their own ‘morality’?

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.” Vé¡clav Klaus (former Premier of the Czech Republic)

  6. G Joubert, 4:19 pm — “Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren isn’t far behind.”

    Errrmmm, isn’t that “Fauxcahontas”?

  7. Well, I wish that it wouldn’t make a difference in that I used to believe that the American voters wouldn’t put such a blatant liar in the White House; but, boy, not only was I wrong when they voted for Mr. Bill (Oh NO! I called him Mr Bill!), but, I was also wrong when they voted for Obama – twice.

So, yea, it would be nice if the news media would slam them for their lies. But, we all know at this point to not hold our breath on waiting for the news media to do their job.

Its a waste of breath to argue about leftists and the truth. They lie 100%.

You can’t generalizing things as you wish.

What’s about Mr G W Bush with his team and the war with Iraq?

Do all what told the voters was pure truth?

  9. We won’t hear anything about Sec. Clinton’s lies, including her lies under oath, because the MSM has selected her as their candidate. On the other hand, the other networks are more than happy to point out NBC’s lack of credibility.

And it’s no big deal. Sadly, there are foolish people that look at network news and expect it to be honest reporting. No one expects a politician to be honest — especially a Clinton.

  10. The Left often likes to believe their enemies do the same things the Left does. So when the Left accuses Bush of lying, they are doing it to take away Bush’s power so that the Left can give that power to child rapists, for example. Or normal rapists like the Kennedies or KKK leaders like Robert Byrd.

So if the Left expects politicians to lie, it’s a projection defense of their obedience of evil, given that they have to deceive people about the Master they truly serve.
