  1. Why Art is both conservative and changing

    America by Simon & Garfunkel

Let us be lovers we’ll marry our fortunes together
I’ve got some real estate here in my bag
So we bought a pack of cigarettes and Mrs. Wagner pies
And we walked off to look for America

Kathy, I’m lost” I said, though I knew she was sleeping
    “I’m empty and aching and I don’t know why…”
Counting the cars on the New Jersey turnpike
They’ve all gone to look for America

  2. Miller’s right. The media are reacting like a jealous lover. Their feelings are hurt because they would have gladly given B.O. advance information on any story, just for the asking. They’re to cope with rejection – wondering why he didn’t just invite them over, so they could give a private briefing stories they were going to run.

  3. It feels like a sort of critical mass is at hand. Despite appearances, the media is not totally monolithic. There are some who will peal away and continue to follow the Benghazi and IRS stories, and if enough of them do this could coalesce, Watergate style.

If this continues, the midterms loom huge. If the Republicans can take back the Senate, and can increase their numbers in the House, anything becomes possible. Special Prosecutors. Select committees and hearings, etc.

  4. Why would Hussein & Co bug the lapdog AP? If the AP, why not Reuters, yahoo, the NYT, WaPo, etc.? These lowlifes ignored Benghazi, Gosnell, the entire Hussein history, gave him and Carney an unbelievable free pass and favorable slant, made great excuses for him, and he bugs them? So now they are outraged??

  5. ” The media are reacting like a jealous lover”

They will end up more like the battered wife who keeps going back to the husband who beats the crap out of her because, because …well just because. After they get over this fist to the face they will dream up some excuse and all will be forgiven.

  6. Don Carlos – No one has denied tapping other news organizations. In fact, yesterday Holder could not recall how many times reporters’ telephone records had been subpoenaed. I’m thinking this is why the MSM is in such a tizzy: each reporter is now wondering whether he or she has been scrutinized by the DOJ.

Really, it’s sad that the MSM has had no concern with Obama running roughshod over the 1st Amendment when it comes to implementing the HHS contraceptive mandate or suppressing religious expression in the military. It’s only when their perceived status of “insider” meets the reality of Obama’s treatment of them as just another enemy of the administration that they get upset. They should feel lucky that they weren’t “under-bussed” by Obama while stationed in Libya (remember: Stevens was a loyal Democrat and Obama voter – that didn’t spare him from being abandoned by Obama).

  7. If one goes back to the long telegram it says why
    And why things stink
They want power first and they presume to work on governance later…. tgat later never comes do to the paranoia needed to hold on and not let go

  8. For an ego like Obama’s, everyone is expendable. A small minority in the MSM are going to recognize this about him, even if they don’t react immediately. Reporters analyzing all this comment more and more about his lack of friends in either media or on the Hill, or anywhere for that matter.
The more Holder lies about the reasons.. ‘a serious security leak that he can’t talk about’, the sillier he sounds. It might all blow over, but a lot of the MSM are starting to recognize “ongoing investigation” as a lie, and some are questioning the frequent and predictable use of the phrase whenever the administration is asked a question about anything. They may not bring him down, but I don’t think they will trust him implicitly anymore. And whaterver cover they do provide, I wager it’s got more to do with salvaging Hilary’s candidacy than defending their hero.
