Remember when? — 15 Comments

  1. The irony is almost biblical. That the wages of appeasement pursued so diligently by the Obama administration and the left, should do more to convince ordinary American’s of the widespread radicalism of Islam, than all of the warnings from those on the right.

  2. This page of poetry rent my heart. My parents grew up in WWII England and I am fascinated by the effect that it had on the people. So little was understood about the emotional and mental damage inflicted on men in war.
This poem particularly hit home, being the mother of a son recently returned from Afghanistan. He has said that he will never tell all of his stories.

    Wilfred Gibson (1878-1962)
    “Back”

They ask me where I’ve been,
And what I’ve done and seen.
    But what can I reply
    Who know it wasn’t I,
    But someone just like me,
    Who went across the sea
And with my head and hands
    Killed men in foreign lands…
Though I must bear the blame,
    Because he bore my name.

  3. When we were living in London around 1990, we saw a survey of what people were concerned about. It was broken down by religion, and most were concerned about peace, poverty, the environment and so on. The Muslims were a little different; their top priority? “Kill Salman Rushdie”.

  4. note: One of the profs at Al Azhar university, the Madrassa in Cairo where Obama gave his famous I am Islam’s bitch speech issued a fatwa ordering the murder of an apostate from Islam.

  5. If you want even greater irony, go back and watch the film Midnight Express (made 34 years ago, in 1978) which is about a young American’s horrible and brutal experience in a Turkish prison. Watch the closing credits, and you’ll see that the screenplay was written by Oliver Stone. Back in those days, even Oliver Stone was willing to condemn repression in Muslim countries.

  6. I didn’t mean for the whole thing to be in italics–just the film title. I guess I should use the “preview” feature more frequently!

  7. IMO the time to nip it in the bud was Tehran 1979. The towel too tight boys should have been given a 24 hour opportunity to respond positively to a demand that all hostages be made ready and unharmed for evacuation at 24:01. Non compliance means all out war, the hostages are sacrificed, and Tehran, Qom, Tabriz, and ten other cities, plus the oil fields are still busying sorting through the rubble 33 years later.

Bullies and megalomaniacs have to be put down and put down bone crushingly hard. Otherwise they dust themselves off and are soon back to business as usual. IOM there is no ‘victory’ just a series of long retreats. Does anyone here believe such actions would have had long term negative consequences?

  8. Want to know WHY the Islamic world is going nutters over a crappy movie? Because a crappy movie like that has been their majority campaign against jews and Christians!!!! When someone hear makes a crappy movie, they see it as an attack that copies how they attack… So they respond as if their gun shot started an opposition gun shot, and so they rise up…

you guys are conditioned not to respond to attacks or even see an attack as an attack..

    but they arent…

so when they see you do the same thing they do as an attack, they quite correctly respond as if your responding to their attack… ie a fight breaks out.

just cause most who don’t kow the game are conditioned, doesn’t mean they weren’t attacked.

look at the state department.. they want you to think you were not attacked, or the attack means nothing.l do that enough and you get beaten to death, while believing in what?

i wish people would grow up and START learning how all this works as they are losing badly and have less than 40 days left..

its like watching a 15 year old girl get taken by a lothario who has had 40 conquests, and the 15 year old keeps telling you she can handle it…

meanwhile… she hasnt prevented an iota of anything… though has created such beliefs outof ideas she thinks leads to such.

however, at the end of it. her beliefs mean nothing, and her bulging bell pregnant with the facts, will deliver the outcome

  9. How much does this all parallel history?

“Germany Must Die!” [seen on a poster]

It exploits a 1941 book published in the U.S. by Theodore N. Kaufman titled Germany Must Perish, which advocated, among other things, the sterilization of the entire German population and the dismemberment of Germany as a nation. The map shown in the poster is in fact Kaufman’s proposal to distribute German territory to its neighbors. Although Kaufman was insignificant (he published his book himself), the Nazis presented it as official Allied policy, and claimed Kaufman was an influential advisor to Roosevelt.

although the author of the islamic film is insignificant…..

you cant tell if they are screwing you the second time if you dont learn they screwed you the first time. 10th time on rohypnol is the first time for the victim every time…

and we have not the space to teach…
for we cant make up for lost time

we are not at the teetering point..
    we are WAY past that…

we used to have a state where freedom squated on the see saw… and so, the opposition floated in the air without any ability to touch ground. when they got heavy and we got light and moved from that solid position, was the teetering point.. (1968)

we are now at the point where the othe side is about to squat and no movement can happen again.

1968 and the sexual revolution which turned women against their mates, and families, and society… was the tipping point… the event horizon..

now, we are starting to feel the gravity of that event, and there is no way back… at all.

how? how do you reconstruct the 10k years of cultural history and familial passing down of how to live and so forth?

    you cant…
feminism destroyed that Well of knowledge.
they were used, but what does that matter?
there is no court of judgment later, so blame is irrelevant, only outcome matters.

you all let me know how you can recapture and rebalance the scales when your not allowed more than a gram of text, and they can print 5 page articles and lie?

    so many parallels and such.
    and yet, no one asked..
how did they oppose this in the past.

the 15 year old naive girl alone and drugged will not figure her way out…

neither can a naive public… who wants to be entertained more than saved…

  10. How to Deal With a Sociopath

    1) Realize that the sociopath does not care who gets used or hurt, because sociopaths have no conscience or scruples against taking gross advantage of your kindness and goodwill. A key characteristic of a sociopath is that they can not comprehend that others have feelings or can be hurt by their actions.

    2) Avoid them completely. Avoidance is key to protecting yourself from a sociopath, however, if that is not possible, here are some things that work:

Have nothing to offer. Sociopaths want to use you, your loved ones, your resources and your connections. To get them out of your life, have nothing to offer.

If what they want from you is your money, keep your money in places where they cannot find out about it. They will open your bank statements and look at your account without your permission so be careful about using a bank. Create the impression (without lying) that you do not have a lot of money and that your friends and family do not have a lot of money.
If they want power, create the impression (without lying) that you are not/ no longer well connected.
If they want to use you, make yourself undesirable (without lying) so they are no longer interested in you.
If they want to use your resources, make them unavailable or render them unreliable so they no longer want to use them.

that last part sure seems to be the goal of the leaders in socialism… ie. use the society and who cares what happens to the people, as they are like any other material.

    Dialectical Materialism (communism/socialism)
    the political ideology of sociopaths…
is it any wonder they have no religion and find such things oppressive. usually such will find the idea of victims not being victimized as oppressive.
