“Diva, moi?” Apparently “non.” — 9 Comments

  1. “Diva” has negative connotations for me… someone a bit dramatic and demanding and difficult to get along with. I don’t think of you that way.

But apparently “diva” is a positive label in this case, so I just voted for you before posting this comment.

Lot’s of talented, dedicated ladies in that list, aren’t there?

  2. Thanks—yes, I’m not really the diva type. Hiding behind an apple won’t do for a diva.

  3. Well, it’s gay men applying the “diva” title so I think we can assume that it’s a very positive label. It’s not at all the same as if another woman were calling you a diva. 😉

I’ve been voting for you. You’re not doing too poorly, actually. The front runners are leaving everyone else in the dust and so far they’re each at about 20%.

  4. She can kill with a simile
She can wound with her facts
She can ruin the fools with her logical axe
And she only reveals what she wants you to see
    She hides behind apples,
But she’s always a diva to me

She can lead trolls to despair
She can take ’em or leave ’em
She can ask ’em to play nice
    But she’ll never believe ’em
And she won’t stand for blather, even if free
    Yeah, she decapitates trolls
But she’s always a diva to me

    CHORUS:
    Oh–she writes like herself
She can post if she wants
    She’s ahead of her time
    Oh–and she never rants out
    And she never rants in
    About changing her mind

    And she’ll promise you insights
    more than you’re needin’
    Then she’ll write of ballet
    till your crainium’s seethin’
    Then she’ll cite the Times
And the worst it can be
    Blame it all on yourself
Cause she’s always a diva to me

    She is frequently kind
    And she’s suddenly cruel
    She writes as she pleases
    She’s nobody’s fool
    And she can’t be convicted
    She’s earned her degree
And the most she will do
    Is throw insight at you
But she’s always a diva to me
