No wonder Comey et al. fear Barr — 20 Comments

  1. Bob Mueller did not look at the government’s activities. He was looking at whether or not the Trump campaign had conspired with the Russians. But he was not going back and looking at the counterintelligence program.</i

This should make the blood run cold in a few swamp dwellers.

  2. I Want To Believe.

But every piece of evidence since forever says nothing will happen to these people except for more book deals and speaking engagements.

  3. Leftists would be plenty concerned if a Republican administration did this to a Democrat’s campaign. Possibly they’re not concerned about that because leftism is so endemic in government service that they think it wouldn’t happen.

  4. I also want to believe some perps will pay at least large sums for lawyers and suffer from a loss of reputation. As for any of them going to jail. It still looks iffy. Unfortunately, the progs and MSM would brand them as political prisoners and heroes. So there’s that to consider as well.

Anyway, it’s good to see some chance for justice. May Bill Barr live long and prosper.

  5. I’ll settle for a lingering stench stinking up the 2020 Democrat campaigns. I think we’ll get that much.

After Roberts’ dishonest support of Obamacare, the Benghazi whitewash and Hillary’s treasonous email server, I too have little faith in the Rule of Law, at least when high-profile Democrats and their causes are involved.

  6. Being Democrat means never having to admit to a crime. Stone walling and losing docs has always worked for them.

  7. Old construction saying: “When you are up to your ass in alligators, it’s hard to remember that you set out to drain the swamp.”

Trump Administration needs to keep their eye on the ball…

  8. If Brennan, Comey, Clapper et al are fearful — and I do not know they are but can easily surmise as much — I believe their fear should arise as much from their knowledge of what they’ve done wrong as from the advancing spector of AG Barr and team. As said before, sucks to be them.

  9. For once, I am slightly optomistic a few people will receive their just rewards. If that should haappen, the messiah and the shrew queen will remain untouchable. Even Barr does not want to go there.

  10. Rule of Law means in effect that Americans obey the Police and Authorities, and in return the Police and Authorities fund the Deep State and Leftist alliance purge of American dissenters. Good luck with that attrition warfare.

  11. We will see how this plays out, I think the worm might have turned and some folks might have to answer some difficult questions. In a real world where truth be know they might pay the price. Here’s hoping……

  12. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/spicer-intelligence-chiefs-never-informed-trump-about-flynn-investigation

This week it was revealed that Flynn was under FBI investigation earlier than previously thought, according to a little-noticed section in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian election meddling — and the former national security adviser’s brother told Fox News exclusively this week that the revelation suggested a long-running, high-level effort to “trip him up” and “trap” him.

Spicer called out the intelligence chiefs at that time for not informing the president about Flynn being under investigation.

“So, there was plenty of opportunity for the intelligence chiefs who were briefing us on other topics to say, Mr. President, I need to tell you something else. And that never happened. And that’s important to know.”

Of course, since Flynn was only under investigation so they could nail Trump on something, they had every reason to keep that a secret (and IIRC, that was the official Obama position on a lot of things, going into the transition).

  13. What’s the odds on Bill Barring having a Breitbart accidental “heart attack”? Ala Hillary Clinton’s long list.

  14. Comey tweets: https://mobile.twitter.com/Comey/status/1129562745500774400

“The AG should stop sliming his own Department. If there are bad facts, show us, or search for them professionally and then tell us what you found. An AG must act like the leader of the Department of Justice, an organization based on truth. Donald Trump has enough spokespeople.”

Bad plan, Jim. It won’t work.

  15. I actually DO believe that the criminal intel orgs were terrified of mostly-honest Flynn, and probably the worst thing Trump could do was to add Flynn to his team.

Flynn was too “clean”, and not on the (dirty) “team”.
So of course I’m hoping Trump pardons Flynn, tho now there’s a timing issue — better to wait until at least of the big 3 big fish intel liars is indicted: Comey, Brennan, Clapper, Comey, McCabe, Rosenstein.
(Rosenstein signed off of FISA #4, knowing it BS, he and McCabe are not quite the big fish.)

Indictments are what I’m really waiting for. I already know they’re guilty, tho I don’t know all the details of their guilt.

Comey signed the FISA (#1, 2, 3) using the Steele unverified BS, so even if others were pushing it, it’s his signature. That “signing” power is what makes him a big fish — now he’s the big target.

The FISA judges, who knowingly accepted being lied to in a (not) plausibly deniable way, they are also guilty, they should be impeached. Their job is to check that for each fact in the application, the FBI has verified it, and when they agree to the FISA spying, they are saying they have checked and believe the FBI verified all facts. When they are “sloppy” or “gullible”, it’s more the “wink & nod” complicity, or at least that’s the way it should be treated in order to not have it happen again.
