  1. want to know why so much of this is happening AND see how clueless the left is tothe ill they cause with inane policies?

Declining Student Resilience: A Serious Problem for Colleges
College personnel everywhere are struggling with students’ increased neediness.

basically that whole everyone is a winner and gets a trophy has turned a generation of smart people who cant handle being failures and cant function in a real world.

but from the comments you can see that the pin heads with degrees cant fathom that the everyone wins no one loses stuff they been pushing for over a generation would lead to this…

and this would lead to people like the shooter…

  2. Air Force veteran John Parker said he was armed but was not allowed to assist the victims during the shooting.

Parker is a student at Umpqua Community College. John Parker was in the veteran’s center with other veterans. He went out to help the victims. But officials barred him from helping the victims as they were being gunned down. “ “I was carrying. And I was ready to help.” Parker told Hannity, “I’m licensed to carry and I will continue to carry.”

The killings have been designated a “Mass Casualty Event”, which is some sort of bureaucratese that mobilizes “hundreds” of agents from various agencies. This is per the local sheriff. And per MCE rules, the dead cannot be publicly identified until “24 to 48 hours” after the Event.
Government marches on. We are in the very best of hands.

  4. They want gun confiscation. That’s why he mentioned Australia and Britain. Countries that are better than us.

  5. Hello Neo,

It is my understanding that Umpqua CC was not a gun free zone and that the campus respected 2nd Amendment rights.

  6. You know… If we wanted to get serious on reducing ‘gun crimes’ and deaths, we would do this:

    1. First conviction of a crime where a gun was used – add 5 years to sentence. No chance of parole.

    2. Second conviction of a crime where a gun was used – Life, no chance of parole.

    3. “Murder” committed with firearm – life with no chance of parole.

    4. “Murder” committed with firearm meeting certain conditions – perhaps 2 out of 3: video proof, forensic evidence, multiple eyewitnesses (I’m open to a variety of conditions) – death sentence. Only 1 appeal/review allowed – must be filed within 1 year. If case stands, execution within 12 months. May have frequent and liberal use of religious instruction during the 12 years.

Execution to be performed by firing squad or guillotine. Executions to be performed by volunteers. Volunteers by $20 raffle ticket. If firing squad, those selected must pass a qualifying exam.

Proceeds to go to education, salvaging police pensions, crime prevention, etc.

“Gun Crime” would plummet. Would crime otherwise remain stable? Probably, but that would stop them from harping about our firearms.

I would perhaps add some provisions to protect claims of self-defense, instances of domestic violence, and a few other things… DV because it gets intertwined with self-defense.

I would not allow race, profession, etc to be considered. We should all be equal.

Furthermore, I would drop the lower limit for these penalties to the age of 14.

    &&&

    Absurd.

    These perps are suicidal wackos.

The perp of the day committed suicide.

NOTHING in the way of statute has the slightest meaning to raging jihadis.

And this fellow had a pretty clean record.

Definitely not a career criminal, he was an enrolled student and production assistant for their Noel Coward production.

This connection is now being purged by the Winston Smiths of the MSM// White House.

    The real story:

Mulatto with Islamist rage assassinates Christians and then commits suicide.

    ANYTHING but a loner.

He was a media maven looking towards a career in stage and film.

  8. I’m talking about regular crimes. Events such as these are impossible to prevent, but my FB feed is filled with anti gun memes (and foolish ones at that) and most gun control is geared at regular crimes. Of course, I’m in close proximity to Chiraq, so my views are colored by the weekly killings
