Obama’s Iran deal — 12 Comments

  1. “The only fantasists here in Vienna are those in the White House who think the deal they are currently pursuing is going to make the world safer, instead of radically more dangerous”.
Or is it that they know exactly what they are doing and what they want: A nuclear Iran. The marxist line for a long time has been that the danger to “world peace” is a strong U.S and part of the solution to it is a strong and nuclear armed Iran. The blather about dismantling the Iran nuclear program, limiting centrifuges, insistence on inspections and so on was simply to get it on the record that it had been policy to achieve these goals when finally the real goal has been achieved. It will be presented as such by Democat media and who will ever figure it out?

  2. It has long been clear that the only clause in the agreement is going to be that Iran not publicize the fact that it has nuclear weapons.

  3. George is correct, bho and vj see no down side to ayatollahs possessing icbms tipped with nukes. The rest of this rogue regime are clueless fools wondering if gay marriage can defeat isis.

  4. This deal was designed to be bad from the start. They’re just wasting our time to draw it out.

  5. Evolution is a chaotic process. It seems that Obama’s deal is progressing, which is simply unqualified, monotonic change.

  6. “The only fantasists here in Vienna are those in the White House….”

Um, in a word, no. The White House knows exactly what it wants and is pursuing it.

However, what the WH wants is not palatable to most Americans or its (former) allies.

Hence the need for this lying charade.

Thus, “the only fantasists” are those—such as the author of the linked-to article (incisive as it is)—who seem to continue to believe that Obama is a fantasist; that Obama believes the lies he tells—or tells them because he wants to believe; or that Obama has the interest of the US or the West at heart.

Obama knows exactly what he wants and seems to know exactly how to achieve it.

Believing that he is a fantasist—or foolish or feckless or unable to learn from his mistakes (that’s always a good one) or incompetent—fits neatly, in fact perfectly, in with the man’s diabolical plan for those he wishes to destroy.

File under: Fantasist like a fox.

  7. There’s a good piece in the current online National Review entitled “The President’s Failed Leadership On Iran.” Written, interestingly enough, by Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin.

  8. BO’s foreign policy consistently has had two pillars, weakening America across the board in whatever way possible, and advancing Iran’s interests whenever possible.

    He has been highly successful.

  9. George: That’s it exactly. Intention (calculated, measured, and deliberate), not incompetence.

  10. Evil does not get its job done by being incompetent. Also people should be careful not to attribute too much to Hussein over there.. the Leftist alliance is a lot bigger than Hussein’s personal power.
