  1. With wood, hammer and nails?

    Alternatively, wood, bricks and mortar.

  2. There are circumstances in life where Man, albeit intelligent, concerns himself with menial concerns that are nonetheless all absorbing. Blaise

  3. Neo,

I don’t know if this is happening because of software on your end or on my computer, but for about roughly a week, maybe longer, when I’ve gone to your blog, my browser goes to something called x.vindicosuite.com while loading your blog. And then later, sometimes but not always, your blog jumps to a myspace page or a blank gogardenclub.com page.

The same ad jump has happened on another blog I read. So again, I don’t know if it’s mal-adware on my computer or something haywire on your end. Or maybe the two of you share a malfunctioning program in your blog software.

  4. There are circumstances in life where Man, albeit intelligent, concerns himself with menial concerns that are nonetheless all absorbing. Blaise

    Pascal?
Well, he must have been speaking about Progressives/Leftists. There is no single group of navel-gazers other than the aforementioned. Oft times borne out of the act of boredom. But not always.
It is why they advocate for change just for the sake of change.

  5. There are more dogs than cats in my experience. Wives prepare dinner using pots, yarn, and electricity. While I was in a drunken stupor, my wife had performed her usual expository disquisition concerning the household to her psychiatrist.

Click here because people deserve to get what they ask for.

  6. I made the kitchen at our house – made the entire house, actually, with the wife’s help. I built the cabinets, set the appliances, installed the lighting and all that stuff. Well, to be honest, I hired a company to build and install the granite countertops to my specifications.

  7. Eric and neo: same thing happened to me. Seemed to be the day neo blogged about flowers?

  8. clarityseeker posts:
“There are circumstances in life where Man, albeit intelligent, concerns himself with menial concerns that are nonetheless all absorbing. Blaise Pascal?”

I doubt an intelligent writer would have written, even en francais,
    “concerns himself with concerns.”

But it is true that menial, rote actions requiring little cerebrum can have a relaxing effect. Puts the brain in park. Just not as a steady diet.

  9. Here:
Blaise (maybe)
