The case for impeaching Obama… — 21 Comments

  1. The largest reason I have for not impeaching Chairman O is: Slow Joe Biden. Barry is terrible, but the VP is pathetic. We are a strong country and will get through this.

  2. Whether Congress votes for it or not, the case should not be dropped.

The great people of this country, if there are any left, should shout it from the rooftops and demand it every day, all day, and all the time.

Every decent person should make numerous calls to the congressional, overlords and demand it until they cannot resist the calls.

This case should never die. Even posthumously, America should rest until Obama is actually impeached. It is almost the only action, and a ritual action it must be, that will remove the poison this serpent has injected into the [formerly] United States of America.

  3. He should be impeached for the IRS scandal, not for ObamaCare.

    Lying is what politicians do.

All that said as the first black President he is immune to impeachment and he knows it.

  4. It’s a political problem (impeachment). Well, what is politics? As it happens, we are politics. The Americans can simply demand TheClownDisaster be impeached. Sufficient numbers making that demand shapes the politics. What are sufficient numbers? Everyone write your congressman and see.

  5. Some dem senators up for re-election may be looking for anything they can do to distance themselves from their votes for Obamacare. If Obama does not rewrite regulations that are causing people to lose their health insurance plans, these senators may be open to the idea of impeachment. Maybe for his lies about Obamacare or for the IRS scandal or whatever. In their minds it will be better him then them.

  6. Neo,

Note — liberals don’t love Obama despite his dishonesty, fraud and lawbreaking. They love him BECAUSE of his dishonesty, fraud, and lawbreaking.

  7. When treason prospers, none dare call it treason. Certainly not those with power and wealth to lose in the bargain.

So long as it prospers at least…

  8. Get real. Foolish to even fanatasize. The Dems would allege racism if there was ever a vote. That’s reality.

  9. Be it is still instructive to point out that this is the biggest lie in Presidential history by a wide margin.

I have to laugh when people suggest he didn’t know. The Harvard Law Review president just repeated what Axelrod told him to say about the most important point in his signature legislation?

    Laughable.

  10. I haven’t read deeply enough in the literature–the Debates on the Constitution, the Federalist and anti-Federalist Papers, Common Sense, and the collected works of prominent Founders like Adams and Madison, Franklin, Paine and Jefferson-to know if, in all their mulling over and discussing the Constitution, the form and function of our government, and its system of checks and balances, our Founders ever envisioned a situation such as we find ourselves in today.

Our situation in which a corrupt political system, along with an increasingly ill-educated, politically indolent, and corrupt citizenry,* makes it practically and politically impossible to Impeach a President who is deliberately trying to drive the United States into the ground, and who has committed many and various of the “political crimes,” that are the “high crimes and misdemeanors” justifying Impeachment.

As for “means” other than Impeachment, I note this recent, apparently little noticed comment by retired General Boykin–commenting on the large number of officers cashiered/purged by Obama–about the likelihood of a “coup” (see http://www.wnd.com/2013/10/top-generals-obama-is-purging-the-military/)

“Boykin specifically said that because of the civilian-military relationship, he did not see any prospect for a “coup” coming from the military ranks.

Boykin said that no one in the military has ever raised the issue of a “coup.” However, civilians with no military experience have raised this issue with him and commented that the military needs to “fulfill [its] constitutional duty and take over the government,’” Boykin said. He added that he has never raised this issue but only has responded to anyone who has raised this questions by saying that, “Our Constitution puts a civilian in charge of the military and as a result a coup would not be constitutional. You’re not going to see a coup in the military.”

    * Said Thomas Jefferson “No government can continue good but under the control of the people; and … their minds are to be informed by education what is right and what wrong; to be encouraged in habits of virtue and to be deterred from those of vice … These are the inculcations necessary to render the people a sure basis for the structure and order of government.”

    * John Adams stated: “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”[13]

and see other Founders on the necessity of private and public religion, morality and virtue if our Republic and our freedoms are to endure
    (here at http://wjmi.blogspot.com/2011/04/no-liberty-without-virtue.html) .

  11. Chances are probably better for Obamacare to be repealed than for impeachment. But if Obama vetoes and the veto cannot be overridden, then I wonder if that won’t be the last straw for the vulnerable dem senators.

  12. [ADDENDUM: Obama only lied because he knew you wanted it.]

So, according to feminist theory Obama raped us?

  13. @Wolla Dalbo

Too many people are certain of what the American People ™ believe. The last election was a great example: people couldn’t vote for Romney because they couldn’t relate to him. That got translated into “people love socialism!”
    Uh, no.

The proving point comes when the next vote is held after pain is inflicted. They say even a flatworm knows enough to turn away from pain. If the American People ™ don’t vote out the socialists after that, then I’ll admit we’re lost*.

*Caveat: people must know from whence the pain came. If the left is allowed to blame-shift, it weakens the case for voter corruption.

  14. Assuming 10 million of those votes weren’t fabricated by Obama, for Obama. Next time, 15million might be electronically fabricated, to partially replace absentee votes

  15. Before long, Saddam’s 99% vote in Iraq will pale in comparison to Obama’s 100% vote. Or the Left’s 100% vote.

  16. Barry has apparently lost Bill Clinton’s love.

Bill wants the country to be intact so that he can get back into the White House.
