Obama’s straw men — 9 Comments

  1. When I comment here, I shoot off the comment and go on with my day.

I make it a point to always read some left side blogsites. Btw: Dissenting Justice is awesome! Thx for the tip. When I comment – not at Dissenting Justice – but at other left side sites, I do not quickly comment and move on. I agonize over my comment. I shrink my comment down to barest essentials. Why? Straw Men.

One bare essential comment will amazingly result in a long row of straw men, which must then be patiently knocked down, knocked down, knocked down. Part of the problem is that, as you knock down a straw men, more straw men arise from your knock down(spiced with ad hominem). You knock down the new straw men, and newer straw men arise from your knock down of the old new straw men. Spice with even more ad hominem. Heh.

  2. gcotharn,

I think you have brilliantly identified the optimal raw material for cellulosic ethanol. It is truly never ending. We just neeed to identify the right enzymes to digest it.

  3. Obama probably thinks Lincoln was admired because of his words. Quite the contrary. His words were admired because of the man.

  4. Kamper, I am personally most worried about the brewing conflict between the nations of Snackistan and Fritolaysia. (With apologies to The Onion.)

  5. Mr. Rove makes excellent points. But he is not right on job growth. The Bush 43 administration was not a time of good job growth. It was a time of lackluster job growth.
