See the AP headline; read the AP story — 7 Comments

  1. I can’t find my source right now, but I’m 99.9% certain that Loven is married to a high muckety muck in the DNC or some other Democratic political operation. Power Line (I think) has pointed out before that her articles are clearly just re-dos of his press releases.

  2. Probably a worthless effort but I have, on more than one occasion, written a letter to my Knoxville paper asking who the heck writes the headline for a story. At times there is such a dismaying disconnect between the content of an article and the headline. It maddens me because headlines hold a lot of power- often that is all most people have the time to read.It just seems like sneaky cheating on the part of the MSM to play games with words like that.

  3. This sort of stuff comes back to haunt, time and again and continues to erode the credibility of news outlets who only want to foist a political agenda. Dan Rather and Newsweek whose malicious reporting actually caused the deaths of some people comes to mind. It slowly reaches a point of no return when credibility issues can’t be overcome. Fools hang themselves with the shoestrings from their feet in their mouths.

  4. “I find it hard to understand how anyone can look at the man and listen to him, and still doubt his deep integrity and sincerity, not to mention his sheer courage.”

Well, exactly. That’s WHY they must try so desperately to bring him down.

It is their own integrity and courage that they doubt.

  5. Neo, once again, thanks for setting the story straight. After I read and heard headlines similar to the ones you mentioned, I thought, “There’s GOT to be more to this …” but I didn’t have the time or patience to dig through the articles to find out what was really going on.

Huan … sadly, it’s getting harder and harder for the MSM to disappoint me about anything.

  6. Neo, don’t be too surprised about this; the leftist MSM has been functioning in this manner for years. It amazes me that they are able to get away with it on a daily basis. You noticed the Headline didn’t match the content of the story, but I wonder how many others do?

Polls are what get me fired up. The MSM love to twist poll data to conform to their positions. Media outlets that use poll data should be required to post the actual questions posed to respondants.

  7. the MSM have become a disappointment. The most important function of a free press in a democratic society is to educate the public. Only an educated public can direct political policies. Instead the MSM have elected to direct political policies through influencing the public through duplicity of omission and outright fabrication.
the real bright spot has been a public that keeps its own counsel rather than fall prey to the media. when will the MSM learn.
