Jonathan Turley on the media’s protection of Biden — 12 Comments

  1. As an aside, I love that classic Naked Gun scene. “Nothing to see here! Please disperse!”

But although, as Turley says, it’s become harder for them to avoid those details – and I’ll add that it’s also become more outrageous and ludicrous – I believe that the Democrats are fully up to the task. Helped by an MSM which echoes their message as well as ignores the details that implicate the Bidens, and instead makes the story into “Republicans pounce!” And “Republicans malign our glorious FBI and DOJ!” as well as “evil Trump this and evil Trump that,” they might be quite successful in continuing to minimize and/or coverup the biggest US political scandal of my lifetime.

Yeah, obviously I hope they’re not completely successful at their increasingly comic attempts at misdirection and mischaracterization. Only time will tell if this will have much of an effect on Biden’s approval. As we all now it’s extremely difficult for the truth to penetrate the wall of misinformational noise put up by the Democrat-Media complex. Who knows? Maybe normal people will start to pay attention and ask questions. I have my doubts.

  2. Probably the most unrealistic scene in the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger action flick “The Running Man” (based on a Stephen King novelette of the same title) is the part where Mick Fleetwood (!) and his merry band take over a TV station and upload “the real footage” from “The Bakersfield Massacre” exonerating Schwarzenegger’s character, which turns the crowd against the game organizers. (Strangely, lots of other aspects of the movie don’t farfetched these days, with AI representations of various people being used to generate fake footage to carry out “the narrative.”) Sadly, changing minds is not as easy as presenting evidence – particularly when, like the crowd in “The Running Man,” they are used to being fed a manufactured narrative.

  3. Wouldn’t it be interesting to have a serious interview with an honest liberal journalist about this blatant refusal to do basic journalism. Is there such a thing?

  4. didn’t mick fleetwood look ancient in that, and he was only 40 at this time,
the snippets of footage from J6 that tucker and now julie kelly have unearthed
some of which prove deceit on the part of at least one Capitol policemen, are like the real Bakersfield footage,

  5. Perhaps never have so many been so complicit in crimes deserving of imprisonment.

  6. }}} they might be quite successful in continuing to minimize and/or coverup the biggest US political scandal of my lifetime.

    Biggest political scandal, PERIOD.

    No need for the qualifier.

This is the presidency we are talking about. This crap is international in scope and involves our enemies, unlike, say, the Teapot Dome, and it’s DAMNED sure greater than anything associated with Nixon.

And frankly, sooner or later, it’s going to become obvious that the election was more doubtful than The Corrupt Bargain or the election of Andrew Jackson.

  7. “…on the media’s protection of Biden”…
…and THIS, on Republican attempts to STOP THE STEAL:

    ‘ Republican election clerks hit with lawsuits, recall votes for actions in 2020 presidential race;
‘ “Our current laws don’t allow those responsible for running elections to determine if the election is properly run,” Phill Kline said.’—

And so…we have reached Peak Absurdity!
(Of course, if you’re a Democrat, you DO NOT WANT either transparency or accountability—no matter what you spout—so maybe one could say, we’ve reached PEAK DEMOCRATIC PARTY!)\
+ Metaphorical Bonus (though y’all’re probably already aware of it…)

  8. BREAKING THROUGH the Praetorian Guard Wall, the media censorship theme.

CNN is stumped by the two different legal treatment’s charge by the R’s. But IRS Agent Ziegler is interviewed by Jake Tapper with effect. Criminal attorney Robert Gouviea breaks it down in this clip

  9. The biggest political scandal was the Russian collusion hoax and the 2020 election.

  10. ^ yeah I caught that too.
Also, OT, has McConnell’s syncopal episode already disappeared off the headlines? Saw one report last night and then nothing.
