Did you know that Joe Biden used to drive an 18-wheeler? — 35 Comments

  1. I hear there are currently plans to locate it and place it in the Smithsonian:
    SEMI-TRAILER ONE.

  2. Again, this man just lies with impunity. And not the truth stretching and factual manipulation all politicians are guilty of. Flat out absurd lies. He’s akin to the drunk guy at the end of the bar, spinning tall tales. He always has been. It didn’t start with the dementia, but I’m sure that has intensified it.

  3. Put him in one and let him back it up to a loading dock. We could all use a good laugh. Only if they clear the entire area so he doesn’t kill somebody.

  4. He’s probably like Hillary and hasn’t driven anything in so long he no longer knows how. Even before the dementia set in.

  5. Us regular people can rent a box truck and move some furniture, we can purchase a nice size boat on a trailer and learn how to make it go forward and back up however spotting (backing up to a dock) with a tractor-trailer rig requires some real truck driving education and experience and that’s why they also require a commercial license and instruction. Next thing Biden will tell us is that he can fly helicopters and jet passenger planes because he has been for a ride in them more than one time. What a total knob and today there are big rig truck drivers all over the USA laughing about the moron in chief.

  6. Biden’s polls are dropping. His honeymoon is over. And he’s not gotten much done other than not fouling up the vaxx.

The big-ticket scary items — nuking the filibuster, jamming through a ridiculous infrastructure bill, packing the Court, making DC and PR states, eliminating the Electoral College, and federalizing election fraud — remain dreams as along as, knock on wood, Sinema and Manchin remain alive and stay strong.

The easy time to get that stuff done is past. Things are likely to get much harder after the 2022 election. The Biden administration also looks confused and incompetent. The Jan 6 show trial seems to be the best shot they’ve got for the moment.

Which would be good news, except I suspect we are going to see some real skullduggery next year as the mid-terms ramp up.

  7. It could be worse. Next week he may claim to have secretly been one of the astronauts who walked on the moon.

  8. Or, he may claim the moon landing was a hoax, and he was the master-mind of it.

  9. The emissions! Get my scalpel.

Deplorable. Decaffeinated Joe, say it ain’t so.

  10. He is getting like Lil Kim doing every feat better than everyone else.
Wait until he tells us of out jumping Kareem Jabbar in a pick up basketball game.

  11. Oh Come on Man! He did too drive an 18 wheeler. Of course it was his kiddy car that he was sitting on when he was a Tot.

Exactly the type of guy the FBI goads into becoming a terrorist/kidnapper.

  13. AesopFan:

Mastermind of the hoax, or of the moon landings, or of both simultaneously?

  14. “I used to drive an 18 wheeler with my then wife Morgan Fairchild. Yeah that’s the ticket.”

  15. If Trump had said that, it would be the latest of his 15k+ lies. Not Biden, though. It’s just charming. Sort of like comparing Ivanka to Hunter.

  16. He wore his “magic hat” to the moon and “invented the internet” during the trip.

  17. “Put him in one and let him back it up to a loading dock. We could all use a good laugh.”

Only if they clear the entire area so he doesn’t kill somebody.

Joe Biden is so dumb he would end up backing over himself.

  18. It is not at all clear in the video what his exact words are. They could be, for example, “I once drove an 18-wheeler”, which could mean he was once put behind the wheel to see what it was like.

The man is stupid enough without us having to invent stuff out of barely heard snippets.

  19. Team Joe is driving it like they stole it, and (in similar fashion to Obama) using it to demolish as much of the country as possible until swing state legislatures with pending audits rise up and stop them.

  20. Once again, just imagine the press’s treatment of Trump if he had said that…

  21. Oh God, the whipsawing is making my neck hurt. Trump said things that seemed a little outrageous, the press would have a collective fit of the vapors, and then what he has said was eventually proven true – and nothing was noted, no comment made.

Biden says things that are at once more absurd and irrelevant, and patently untrue on the face of it, makes a senile fool of himself in front of millions, and the press chortles and helps themselves to more ice cream while the fact checkers call the lie in 5 minutes – again to no reaction.

Joe used to lie with impunity to look like a kind of easy-street successful guy, and he got away with it a lot of the time. Now he just lies in an incontinent way, like he can’t help blurting it out all over the place.

Joe used to tell lies to present himself as a kind of easy-street successful guy, and he got away with impunity a lot of the time. It only got called with it was particularly egregious, or an important context. Now he’s just kind of incontinent with his lies – he just blurts them out all over the place, no filters or anything, nothing but in-the-moment irrelevant gains that don’t impress anybody.

  23. “I used to drive an 18-wheeler, man,” the 78-year-old commander-in-chief [Biden] told staff, video of the exchange shows…

I remember that! He had a chimpanzee sidekick named Bear. Cute couple.

  24. “or of both simultaneously?” – Neo

On alternate days, kind of like Fauci & the Masked Bandits.

  25. Here’s an old Byrds song I’ve repurposed. It was after Gram Parsons joined the band and they headed full-bore into country-rock.

The story goes that Gram Parsons knew the real truck driver, but the guy had no idea of the song until someone let him know. Then the guy sued the Byrds.

No, Biden isn’t in the KKK, but, as far as I’m concerned, pushing CRT is another, possibly more dangerous form of racism. Those behind bars from Jan 6 probably wish they had gotten out of town.

  26. “Put him in one and let him back it up to a loading dock. We could all use a good laugh.”

Maneuvering a big rig in tight quarters is the test of a driver. While hitching from Miami to New England, I got a ride from Fla to NYC with a Mayflower van. The driver told me that the price for the ride was to help him unload. Fair enough. We drove up to a house in rural Pennsylvania that had a narrow driveway going up the side of a hill (a big drop-off on one side of the driveway), with a very tight circular driveway at the top. I was very impressed with the driver’s skill in backing up the driveway. (There wasn’t enough space at the top to turn around.)

I once “piloted” a helicopter. I was the only passenger on a helicopter being flown to an offshore rig in the Gulf of Mexico. At the pilot’s suggestion, I took command of the lever for about a minute. I did OK. I very much doubt he would have done that if there was more than one passenger. Fortunately, the weather was good.

Granted, there is no way to verify this story- nor any way to disprove it. I hope my credibility is better than Slow Joe’s.

Speaking of operating heavy equipment, one summer my brother worked for a wheat harvesting crew that worked from Oklahoma to Montana? He shared combine driving with the owner. My brother asked our grandmother if she could get him a wheat harvester job, and she lined him up with a neighbor of hers.

Huxley- interesting story about the “drug store truck driving man.”

  27. Joey Plugs & his handlers know he can say anything and get away with it–no questions asked.
My favorite Biden affectation is still when he “jogs”.
    Cracks me up everytime.
    What a phony.
