Trump pardons Flynn — 52 Comments

  1. “Judge” Sullivan has guaranteed himself a place in the history books as an obedient hack who helped to block the course of justice in one of the most important cases of our time. Michael Flynn catalyzed the Obama White House and its DOJ, FBI and intelligence agencies, and Robert Mueller and his minions, and “Judge” Sullivan and his cronies, to commit outrageous injustice against Flynn and by extension our system of government. It will not be forgotten or forgiven.

  2. The need, alas, to pardon an innocent man—an American HERO….because of the insidious perfidy of the corrupt Obama administration, a corrupt DOJ, a corrupt CIA boss, a corrupt judiciary, compromised legal defenders…

    Well, it’s come to this.

Nevertheless, congratulations to everyone involved, especially to General Flynn, to his family, to Sidney Powell, to President Trump, to all those who never gave up, all the way down the line.

And now—introducing the NEXT specially chosen victim of Democratic Party/Mainstream Corrupt Media vilification and character assassination…a person who is, not coincidentally, another hero (these hyenas don’t skip a beat, NOT ONE BEAT):
    Kash Patel…

  3. This sickens me to the depths of my being. This is totalitarianism pure and simple.

I would like a legal opinion if possible. Does this pardon preclude Flynn from seeking civil damages for malicious prosecution? In my opinion the whole DC circuit should be impeached and Sullivan. That is why we have to hold the senate and clean out government.

  4. I would hope that this does not preclude General Flynn from taking civil action; and I don’t know why it would. The pardon does not erase the crimes that were committed against him.
The sad thing is that he will forever be labeled as a convicted felon by some, although a pardoned one.

Could be an interesting fight ahead. If NY indicts Trump, will Florida extradite him? Of course I would not put it past the scum to convict him in absentia and go for his NY based assets.
Donald Trump has paid a high price for serving the country. I hope the cost does not go higher.

  5. Oldflyer:

Even if Sullivan had dismissed the charges against Flynn at the behest of the Trump DOJ, there would have been plenty of people clinging to the idea that Flynn was guilty and that the dismissal was political in nature. That’s what they were saying when it seemed that the dismissal would happen.

  6. Sickening … And the media (CBS,ABC,NBC) leads with this as if NO one has ever been pardoned by a president.

  7. I would love to see the government forced to reimburse Flynn for costs (direct and indirect) that were incurred as a result of this bogus and vindictive prosecution.

  9. David Axelrod spewing his characteristic garbage, in this case that Flynn’s pardon was “rewarding silence”:
    https://twitter.com/ChuckRossDC/status/1331751015578808324

Not even sure what he’s talking about.
Don’t think he does, either, but I guess it sounds good. To him at least.

Typical, though, and what we’ve come to expect from Obama and his sleazy, sinister minions: stupidity, dishonesty and larceny.

    And treachery. And ruthlessness.

  10. I am Sparticus,

Holding the Senate will not clean out government. Impeachment starts in and has to clear the House.

Due to legal difficulties, even a President Trump having a strong supportive majority in both the Senate, House and S.C. would still have difficulty doing it.

Year long martial law might do it. But cleaning out America’s Augean stables will literally be a herculean task. One that only millions can accomplish.

  11. Barry Meislin:

I believe I know exactly and precisely what Axelrod is talking about. And the Democrats who follow him know it, too.

They are still pushing the narrative that Trump is Putin’s puppet, is guilty of collusion, all that jazz. And there is little doubt that Flynn was pursued legally for several reasons. The first was to get him fired from his job so he wouldn’t be able to do any oversight or cleaning up of the various agencies. The second was to threaten him (and his son) in an attempt to get Flynn to rat on and implicate Trump. They didn’t care much whether the accusations he came up with were real or fake, and I am pretty sure they knew they would be fake. They also wanted him to cooperate in testifying against his former business partner, which he ultimately refused to do and then they threatened to prosecute him along with that ex-partner. So Flynn refused to rat on Trump and on the partner – Trump being by far the most important quarry to the left.

  12. Thanks much for the detailed explanation.
As I understand it, it’s ALL based on an abominable Obama (and Co.) purposely concocted fantasy and then inflated by an oh-so-helpful, uxorious media. I.e., it ALL stems from the Russia hoax.
    Or am I missing something?
(As I recall, the Turkish partner angle was likewise entirely a malevalent concoction….)

Concoction is actually a pretty good term for Obama’s entire foreign policy.
    Rather toxic concoction.

  13. “…as the swamp attempts to complete the worst scandal in American history.” (David Steinberg)

Regarding Axelrod’s statement on Flynn (see above), here’s a theory from David Steinberg where he displays and quotes from the the TIP protocol/plan/playbook, which is quite a creepy document:
    https://twitter.com/realDSteinberg/status/1331818463627710466

Scrolling down this tweet, Steinberg continues:
“Here’s a link to the full Transition Integrity Project report.

“Keep it handy to understand what comes next, as the swamp attempts to complete the worst scandal in American history…”

  14. I doubt that there will be any indictments of Trump. He knows where all the bodies are buried now

  15. They gravely damaged a good man and patriot’s life.

They tried mightily to destroy him.

But the real kicker is that is what the left will do to anyone who threatens their agenda.

Like Seth Rich. Only the left had motive, means and opportunity.

It only takes one side to wage war and though we dread the coming cost, the left has declared war upon America.

  16. “…indictments…”

The problem is that the Democrats are gunning for the White House and all the tremendous power that emanates from that position. They believe, simply, that it belongs to them and any usurper that prevents them from achieving this goal is forfeit.

And they are ruthless; they will stop at nothing, especially not now, when that they are so close….

They have gone to great lengths and huge expense to choreograph this “election” so that the initial heist would give them a huge advantage and tremendous momentum. Deploying that momentum they have claimed victory, together with the support of the weaponized media, and are behaving as though it is an actual fait accompli (even though this is not the case according to the Constitution and electoral law…OTOH, since 2008, when has the law and the Constitution, or concepts such as truth or dignity or respect ever held them back?).

This is what has happened thus far: having declared himself “the winner” with the almost wall-to-wall support of the media, Biden has received congratulations from most world leaders, has been nominating his cabinet and is behaving as though he were the president elect.

    A fait accompli.

Trump and his team can only fight back and they have been doing so to the best of their ability—with the Constitution and the Law to back him up—but in the face of everything that he’s up against (an overwhelming perversion of the ballot across half a dozen states, almost solid Democratic Party activists and politicians in those states, judges and election officials—along with Republicans that will go along with them—and the immense power of the media and infotech companies whose policy is to lie, censor and fashion the news they want the public to see and hear) it is a long and difficult slog.

Even if in spite of all this, Trump claws back to win several battles or even somehow finds himself victorious , the Democrats will not allow him to be president, as the TIP document referenced above so clearly indicates.
We know this because the Democrats have shown themselves to be utterly ruthless and unbound by law, which they believe they can circumvent. It only makes sense that having come this far, they WILL NOT back down. But they also believe, on the other hand, that due to their diligence and extraordinary efforts to steal the election, Trump will not even reach this stage where the true voting results will be revealed or that he will be able to win via Constitutional proviso.

Even should he succeed—somehow—by successfully appealing to those means, they will not allow him to go any further. They will prevent him, by hook or by crook—or by perversion of the law and, if necessary, by violence—to assume the office of POTUS.

This is the meaning of “There is no way Trump will win Pennsylvania”—as pronounced with total confidence by that state’s AG. Its implied message is, “There is no way Trump will win the election.”

Any attempt made by Trump to assume the presidency, no matter how legal, no matter how much it is in accordance to the Constitution and to election law, will be portrayed as a coup attempt on Trump’s part by the current—rabid—iteration of the Democratic Party, fully backed up by the media.

This I believe is the meaning of the “TIP” protocol.
This will be the end game should things arrive at that point, though the Democrats don’t believe that it ever will.

  17. Greenwald with a comprehensive rundown on the Flynn outrage (from this past May):
    https://theintercept.com/2020/05/14/new-documents-from-the-sham-prosecution-of-gen-michael-flynn-also-reveal-broad-corruption-in-the-russiagate-investigations/
    H/T Ron Coleman twitter feed.

It is an extraordinarily acute assessment of the hell into which the country has descended.
    Key graf (of many):
“The ability to distinguish between ideological questions from evidentiary questions is vital for rational discourse to be possible, yet has been all but eliminated at the altar of tribal fealty. That is why evidentiary questions completely devoid of ideological belief — such as whether one found the Russiagate conspiracy theories supported by convincing evidence — have been treated not as evidentiary matters but as tribal ones: to be affiliated with the left (an ideological characterization), one must affirm belief in those conspiracy theories even if one does not find the evidence in support of them actually compelling. The conflation of ideological and evidentiary questions, and the substitution of substantive political debates with tests of tribal loyalty, are indescribably corrosive to our public discourse.”

  18. Reaching across the aisle, Trump should also pardon Judge Sullivan for any and all crimes committed by Sullivan in the Flynn matter. No one, not even Sullivan, is beyond redemption and no one, no matter the guilt, may refuse presidential clemency.

  19. Flynn suffered due to Obama’s vanity.

Flynn’s “The Field of Fight” was published in early 2016. The book’s primary theme is the threat of Islamism expressed through the actions of ISIS – defined then by the epicene hoops fan Obama as “The JV team”. Flynn pulled no punches in his contempt for Barry. Blowback came through the FBI and Barry’s black-robed henchman Sullivan.

  20. Judging from your post, LeClerc, it looks like the same thing happened to Flynn that happened to D’Souza. What a vile creature is Obama. It also suggests what I have suspected for a while now, that Obama was pulling Sullivan’s strings all along.

  21. Neo wrote: [NOTE: I expect the Democrats to try to indict Trump for something, but it will probably be at the state level in NY, and he can only issue pardons for federal offenses.]

With the threats of legal action and persecution of Trump should he leave office, it’s like the Left, at least those who actually know their history anyway, are trying to put Trump in the same position as Julius Caesar pre-Rubicon.

If Trump, a man with an enormous ego (whatever else we may think about him) knows:
-The election was won by outright fraud but
-he can’t prove it in court and/or the courts don’t care and
-the left aims to prosecute and persecute Trump and his allies (and anyone who voted for them)

Then what are the chances Trump concedes? What are the chances that he doesn’t invoke the Insurrection Act due to election interference and “cross the Rubicon”?

Lawyers (and many otherwise average Americans) see the courts as the final arbiter. And so they keep addressing the fraud and proof in purely legal terms. And only see the legal (as in courtroom, not necessarily licit and illicit) pathways.

But if I put myself in the POTUS’ place, while I would of course use the courts first, I can’t see accepting a ‘legal’ defeat when I know there is proof of widespread fraud and conspiracy to steal it. If I know that, I know 2022 and 2024 and beyond are now moot points. There will never be another free and fair election again if the culprits get away with it. We’ll get Red Kamala and Blue Kamala and the MSM will air 24 hour commercials on MSNBC, CNN, and FOX telling us one “Tastes Great!” and the other is “Less Filling!” and they will brow beat us, telling us to be happy we have the privilege of voting on it. Well, those who aren’t re-educated because ‘Unity’, anyway.

  22. Those who concocted and went after Trump based on bogus charges and those who went after Flynn based on bogus charges , should all be hanging at the end of a rope. This would include all the crooked lawyers who participated in this scam and perhaps a judge or two or three.

Certain members of Congress who perpetuated these scams and repeatedly lied about “evidence” they had would also have hanging stations reserved for them.

And let’s not forget the media folks who perpetuated this lie for 4 years; this would include the producers who fed and or wrote the scripts recited by the puppets on live TV.

I am guessing gallows to accommodate about 50 to 75 hanging “stations” should do the trick.
About another 50 or so should be sent off to jail for, let’s say, 300 years or so, but eligible for parole after having served 75% of their time.
Jeez, wouldn’t that mean they would all croak in jail?
    Oh well.
    What goes around comes around.

  23. I’m pleased this ends for Flynn. It’s a scandal. (While we’re at it, did you catch that David French wrote multiple apologias for the harassment of Flynn by the FBI and the Mueller crew, the most recent in April of this year? Muh principles, and all that).

  24. huxley,

Got busy and forgot about the “Cry me…” post, but I agree. Krall’s version of “Peel me a Grape” is first rate. Probably my favorite song of hers. Great rendition. She has the right combination of sizzling, sensuality and disinterested superiority the song warrants. Another, similar song in tone is, “Why Don’t You do Right?”

  25. So Flynn refused to rat on Trump and on the partner – Trump being by far the most important quarry to the left.

What do you think about the rumor that lots of Sydney Powell’s facts are coming from Flynn? One reason the left targeted him is his knowledge of The “Intelligence Community” which seems to be the force behind the war on Trump. Lots coming. I just hope it is in time (12/14).

  26. Mike K,

I know you weren’t asking me but I believe a lot of what Sidney knows or at least, where she finds her facts comes from General Flynn or his direction.

I also believe she is the reason he was pardoned: they need her attack prong (one of many attack prongs; and why her role was clarified earlier in the week) freed up. They can’t afford Judge Sullivan being used as a pawn at this point, requesting things from Flynn’s legal counsel now, just to tie her up and divide her attention.

Part of me feels like having Powell freed up and Flynn pardoned is like getting a queen piece back in Chess.

  27. Criticizing typos and grammar is what assholes do when they don’t have any substance to form a counterargument.

  28. Related (from Hypocrisy Inc.):
    https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/matt-margolis/2020/11/26/the-left-approved-of-obama-granting-clemency-to-terrorists-and-traitors-but-is-triggered-by-flynns-pardon-n1175073

Clearly preparing the ground for the grand hysteria of intense hate that they will trot out whenever they believe it to be useful.

Together with his utter mendacity and his transforming of government agencies into rogue partisan fiefdoms, this strategizing of hatred is the key to how Obama and his minions (AKA his “spiritual accomplices”) have succeeded in “fundamentally transforming” the US into a third-world banana republic.

  29. I watched “The Plot Against the President” last week on Amazon prime and they got into some of why it was so important that Flynn be neutralized. If you haven’t read the book, you need to watch the movie. It also shows how important Kash Patel was to Nunes revealing the corruption in Hurricane Crossfire.

According to the movie, Obama had it in for Flynn because he was a non nonsense guy working against Obama’s misuse of the military.
Flynn would have made real changes to the military and the perpetual war faction infecting most of the military.

  30. This is what it means to serve and what combat endurance is really about, not how many tours in foreign countries or set piece battles.

The mental, emotional, and spiritual fortitude to tank that kind of damage for 4 years. It’s not something a good soldier can do due to training or combat ability.

He called in the Left’s dark strikes, for so many years, and Q used it to show Americans what your country is really like. The dark side.

Likely Flynn knew about Dominion and he was gagged to prevent him from interfering. Now that the steal has been done on Nov 3rd, both sides have bigger fish to fry.

  31. Well, those who aren’t re-educated because ‘Unity’, anyway.

Trump is planning on a sacrificial gambit and checkmate attack. If all else fails, he plans to declare martial law and make himself the villain, if that is what it takes to clear out this treasonous infection. Military tribunals.

He won’t last more than 2 years at that stage, but the American Republic will die and be reborn as a phoenix in 2021 and 2022. But he will no longer be alive or President, the American people having been forced to accept his sacrifice.

Another will be appointed in his place, that isn’t a Leftist traitor.

This option that I caught from watching him in 2015… I took away from him. He can still do it, but it won’t be as necessary

The military tribunals will target everyone involved. Mass arrests and executions. All Leftists. All GOP traitors like McCain.

All of Them. Burning it All Down.

  32. Yammer talks a lot about Q. X, Y, Z, must be even more secret and awesome! 🙂

But what about p? P was AWOL for many years. It seems that this veteran of Star Wars has much to share.

  33. The deadline is Jan 20th, 2021, not December.

Om, don’t you have better things to do than make things up? I would think by now, you would be busy fighting a war, if you have what it takes. Do you?

You talk about subjects you have no real knowledge of. What is you said about this very topic not very many years ago?

  34. Yammer talks a lot about Q but not “q.” He doesn’t know that “q” is the real power hidden in plane (flat planet) sight. He doesn’t realize that anyone can make up BS but it takes a special kind of person to buy into BS and live it.

PTSD from Star Wars is particularly hard to recover from it seems. 🙂

  35. I had fantasies of Sullivan being impeached by a Rep majority House after Trump gets the Most Legal Votes ever – but ain’t gonna happen.

The Dems want to count the votes of Mickey Mouse and all other illegal voters. If enough of the other deep state decision makers agree, Biden will be declared the winner – just like so many dictators throughout the world are have rigged “elections”. It’s not, not quite, too late to change.

Thru peaceful protests over the next two weeks or so. I wish StopTheSteal.us was more active, somehow.

Glad Trump pardoned Flynn. Hope the election fraud cases get to the Supreme Court in time, but don’t think they will.

  36. I wish StopTheSteal.us was more active, somehow.

Tom Grey: Man oh man, you’ve got to check the current wiki on StopTheSteal:
    _____________________________________________

Stop the Steal is a right-wing conspiracy theory in the United States,[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] in which some supporters of US President Donald Trump have promoted false claims of widespread electoral fraud during the 2020 presidential election. These supporters have asserted without evidence[9][10] that Trump is the winner of the election, and that large-scale voter and vote counting fraud took place in several swing states.

All subsequent “Stop the Steal” groups have since been removed from the website by Facebook moderators due to threats, incitement to violence, and discussions of extreme violence, all of which are violations of Facebook’s community standards…

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_the_Steal
    _____________________________________________

More at the link. I like wiki for basic encyclopedia and pop culture info, but when it comes to politics they are Democrat operatives doing their bit to fix elections.

If I ever had the thought I might donate to wiki, that’s a closed book now.

  37. When I google stopthesteal, I get a screenful of anti-stopthesteal links before I can find stopthesteal.us.

    DuckDuckGo gets me stopthesteal.us immediately.

Looks like most states are having stopthesteal rallies tomorrow (Saturday) at noon in state capitols.

    Be there or be square!

  38. vfk45tm: one never, ever forgives or excuses an enemy until after that enemy is defeated.

As Neo observes, a defeated Trump and his entire family will be hounded, indicted, prosecuted and persecuted by the Leftists. Remember the NYC DA? He has been investigating, and he is a Democrat. The old saying is that a DA can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich.

The modern Democratic party is made up of stupids and evil-doers. The stupids support the evil.
If you think there will be a sea change with the 2022 elections, you’re dreaming. The vote fraud mechanisms will be better then.

  39. I’m afraid/certain that Sullivan will never pay any price for his actions. A presidential pardon of Sullivan would be interpreted by Trump’s enemies as an insult to Sullivan (an innocent and even noble man has no need of a pardon) and enrage (I hope) Trump’s opponents that Trump had the insolence to claim the moral high ground. Thus in the interest of pot-stirring, I made my proposal. The pardon = a troll.

If Trump loses this election, this country is over–we will actually be a banana republic. The name may remain (maybe not–Amerigo Vespucci is not a First People’s name) but our country will no longer exist. It will be impossible to overcome future election fraud. Now or never. Alea jacta est.

  40. I’m genuinely curious why Neo or anyone else thinks the Flynn or any other Trump pardon will be honored after Trump leaves office.

  41. We must not depend on the Courts to determine our futures as free people with guaranteed rights. Judges, at whatever level including SCOTUS, are a mere handful of individuals, and so in effect constitute a Politburo ruling over Legislatures and the 328 million American people.

If the various pro-Trump litigations are timely successful, fine. If not successful, or there are legal stalls, since the Democrats have long practiced lawfare, Trump should invoke the Insurrection Act.
We must not go quietly into that good night. A re-election is not out of the question.
It now pains me to think of the lyrics of “God Bless America”.
