  1. …which means the pier will cost way more than that.
But then “Biden” is loyal to “his” allies…
    (“His” TRUE allies.)

    + Bonus:
Indeed, we’ve all heard of Sex tourism….
Well here’s a new way to see the world and make yourself count!
    Stab tourism!!
The latest fad! The New Best Thing…
    “Terror in Jerusalem: Turkish tourist stabs Police officer;
“Police officer, aged about 30 moderately injured in stabbing attack at Herod’s Gate in Jerusalem, Border Police eliminate terrorist – who is found to be a tourist from Türkiye.”—

No doubt Erdogan—never one to pass up an opportunity—will squeal about Israel killing Moslem tourists….

  2. UNC (Chapel Hill) broke up an encampment early this morning, after multiple warnings to the group. About two dozen were arrested. Many were not university students. Then, at 2 p.m. this afternoon, a group gathered around a flagpole outside the administration offices, hauled down the U.S. flag, and raised a Palestinian flag. Police arrived at 2:30, began arresting people, and raised the U.S. flag again.

  3. apparently northwestern is doing the greatest groveling offering the rioters a full scholarship,

  4. 1. $320m for a pier. What a scam. Lots of grift and graft.

    5. Talked to my *former* sister-in-law on Sunday. She’s a doctor and a Creighton Medical school alum. In fact, she used to work at Creighton. Her son is set to graduate in May. Honors grad. MCAT score in the top 15% and he’s wait listed. Certainly DEI related.

Patients will pay the price. Being a doctor is not easy and admission to medical school should be very much merit based. And admitting the children of qualified alums is certainly not wrong. Be true to your school and all that.

  5. I had read that Hamas has already attack the building of the pier with mortars. Wonderful

  6. Nothing makes a statement like a few mortar rounds.
Zionists will figure a way to use the pier so…
    More please.

  7. It’s a chilling thought, but the Columbia students are “barricaded” inside Hamilton Hall, under the control of their “organizers,” who are . . . who, exactly? Those foolish kids are sitting ducks.

  8. A young woman can be seen on video pleading for authorities to provide food and water to the rioters occupying Hamilton Hall. Do they want them to die of dehydration and starvation? Silly girl. All they have to do is come out and be arrested and they’ll be fed in jail.

  9. Good news: Although the completed pier will eventually bristle with sensors and eavesdropping devices drilled into every nook and cranny, it’ll still be good for mortar target practice.

You can bet people are making serious coin off this project – probably people who enjoy expensive cigars.

  10. Molly: “Those foolish kids are sitting ducks”

It’s not like Hamas has never used human shields before.

  11. If you don’t know how to pronounce “Qatar” it’s easy to remember. Just say “gutter”.

  12. Belated note to huxley: loved your comment about the French love for litotes.
    Pas mal.

  13. We’ve already had a number of close calls because of DEI in air traffic control (see: EVA Air 015). Unfortunately in order to return sanity to the system it will probably take several plane crashes attributable to unqualified controllers, or a strike by pilots at one of the major airlines, alleging that the system is no longer safe.

  14. “… they didn’t bring rations…”
I guess the precious sentiment is that if “Biden” can feed Gazans he can certainly ensure that Columbia’s Freedom-Fighting Fedayeen (“Feds”?) get their pizzas, calzones and heroes.

(Really too bad that all those Christian and Yazidi communities in Iraq—and Egypt and, for that matter, the interior of Nigeria—don’t have a shoreline handy…)
