Biden sees dead people — 24 Comments

  1. These aren’t “gaffes.” They are obvious and common symptoms of short-term memory loss. All of us who’ve seen friends or family decline with dementia know it. Democrats’ refusal to face this is disgusting and dangerous to the nation.

  2. Maybe they’ll figure out a way to do it and a person willing and able to run instead, who would get more votes.

I’d add that such a person would obviously have to be all in on the current Democrat agenda (including open borders and somehow magically figuring out how to please both Anti and Pro Isreal sides of the party) and also be willing to shove the first black female vice president aside.

    All those checkboxes:

    – willing (Rules out Michelle Obama)
    – able (this is the current problem with Biden himself)
    – on board with the current unpopular (D) party agenda
    – would get more votes than Trump (granted, not such a tall order as the other points)

I’m also pretty skeptical that such a person exists at this time. I’m still not super optimistic, mind you. I’m just no longer a hopeless pessimist about the whole situation.

  3. I’m sure many Dems would prefer to stand pat with Biden 2024. If only he were as good as he was a year ago, admittedly a low bar, maybe so.

But Biden’s cognitive condition is a moving target and on the decline.

Biden will not be on the ballot in November.

  4. Kate (1:59 pm) observes, “Democrats’ refusal to face this is disgusting and dangerous to the nation.”

Ohh, they know it well, they’re facing it — albeit not in public — and they don’t know what the h#ll they’re going to do about it. The b#st#rds.

They can stew in their own d#mn juice. (Yeah, they plus our entire nation.)

  5. Nonapod (2:07 pm) cites “All those checkboxes” — plus one important box to check:

It will also be necessary to have enough ballots on hand and ready to be voted in critical precincts so that our — umm, *their* — “democracy” can be “saved”. Whatever it takes.

  6. Ditto huxley, no Biden on ballot in Nov. is my guess.

I’m wondering when newsfolks are going to be asked more about it—is Biden lying or just senile?
Trump is also a bit vulnerable, but he’s talking for hours, usually without much teleprompter help.

Oh, yeah, #2 Dem in South Carolina, Dean Phillips. He got what, 2% of Dem votes.
Maybe he’ll be the Dem with the most votes at the convention other than Biden. He’s no worse than others, as far as I know.
‘Cause I don’t know nothin ‘bout ‘em.

  7. I believe that barring some serious black swan adverse health event – such as complete disability or death – Biden will be on the ballot.

  8. Read sitting down, with motion-sickness bag within arm’s reach, ready and primed:

“Biden’s own DOJ says he is an ‘elderly man with a poor memory’: Damning classified documents probe reveals he forgot when his son Beau died or when he was vice president and left Afghanistan files next to a dog bed in his garage”—
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13062835/joe-biden-classified-documents-garage-private-office-investigation-not-charged.html

Evidence, if any were needed, of…of…of…

  9. I am enamored by the corner the Dems have painted themselves into by selecting Kamala as VP.

Their obsession with diversity is going to drive all white Dem congressmen out of office.

Be careful what you wish for!

    Erronius

  10. Barry,
Yes, quite damaging. When your own Justice Department (and yes, it is a wing of the Democrat party) declines to indict and try the president because of cognitive issues, and does so publicly, that is a huge red flag.

This is what they are willing to say in public.

  11. Hey, don’t worry, fellas…it can happen to anyone…

    “White House defends Biden after he mixed up world leaders with dead people: ‘It happens’ ;
“White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre argues that misspeaking ‘happens to all of us’ “—

    (Well, SHE oughta know…)

Nope “don’t you worry ’bout a thing, mama”…

Hey, “he is an ‘elderly man with a poor memory’ ”

Gotta tell ya’ I haven’t heard a catchier campaign slogan in my entire life!
(Of course that could be because I’m “an ‘elderly man with a poor memory’”. Hey! Maybe I should run for office!!)

  12. This report today is terrible news for Republicans. This greatly increases the chances that the only candidate that Trump has any chance of beating (however small that even is) will not be the actual candidate in November.

  13. In all seriousness, ignoring one’s opinion on policy issues or what they did while in office:

Have we ever had a less impressive human being hold the title of American President?

The man accomplished almost nothing prior to his political career, and certainly nothing of note. He was almost thrown out of law school for cheating.
And, until Barack Obama chose him for Vice President he spent his entire political career in the same office; 36(!) years as a Senator from one of the smallest states in the Union. He received five draft deferments during the Viet Nam war and never served in the military.

Have we ever had a President who achieved less on his own? No military experience. No academic or athletic achievement of note. No business experience. I don’t think he even plays a musical instrument or speaks any foreign languages. His immobility and lack of achievement were motivators for why Obama chose him as V.P. Obama was young and had a relatively short political career (although he had already achieved more outside of politics than the much older Biden). So Obama chose Biden because his name was well known due to his parking himself in the Senate for over 35 years. There was little controversy (except for Biden’s multiple plagiarisms and other lies) in choosing Biden because he didn’t stand out in any way.

These things shouldn’t disqualify one for running for President. It’s just odd that a man who seems to have no personal drive to work at something and achieve it, for achievement’s sake could make it to the office of President.

  14. Rufus,

Maybe Chester Arthur though he wasn’t elected as President and he was actually a decent President in the end.

I would add Zachary Taylor as a possible pick for someone less qualified. If it weren’t for the Mexican War he would have never come close to the presidency. General in the war was his entire list of qualifications.

  15. “So is he too old and lacking memory to be prez??”
    Indeed, the obvious question…

And the answer is—let’s hear it from his own mouth:
“No, I ain’t too old and lacking memory to be Pr-Pr-Pr-Puppet Of The United States. And the Media will cover for me like they should, like they should. And I gotta keep on going—gotta give it my all, I’ve always given it my all—to save the country from that crazy, no-good scoundrel, you know who I’m talkin’ about, you know, that dangerous fool with the orange hair… he’s a terrible person and a terrible danger to our country…so I gotta fight him, I’ve always been a patriot, I’ve always stood for what’s right, I’m not gonna back off now…”

  16. Sorry about my previous post. I missed everyone else’s comments on the DoJ report.

    Must be my senior moment.

  17. With Artificial Intelligence it shouldn’t be hard to come up with a photo of Biden with Mitterand and Kohl — and maybe even audio of them hailing him as The Great Leader Of The Free World.

  18. Let’s suppose that Biden actually said “America is back” and Macron actually replied “For how long”? I know it’s a stretch to assume that anything Biden said happened actually happened, but if Macron really said it — was it out of real concern about America’s continued engagement in the world, or was he poking fun at Biden’s pomposity?

  19. griffin,

Thanks. I just read about both on wikipedia. Taylor’s military record was rather lengthy. I’d put him ahead of Biden for that. Although, as you wrote, Arthur seems like a good President (and good man), you are correct that his resume was rather thin prior to becoming V.P.

  20. I feel the explanation is very simple: Biden was taking part in seances. Or he may have been listening to old recordings of Mitterrand’s and Kohl’s speeches recently and started talking back to the tape player.
