Biden blames his open border policy on Republicans — 31 Comments

  1. Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Is there anyone who can’t see through this kind of transparent gaslighting?

Not anyone who wants to, no.

  2. This entire issue is Biden’s problem. All the Republicans should do is insist on the immigration laws being implemented as written.

But, of course, they’re going to cave and allow 1.8 million immigrants in per year (5000 x 365).

  3. The whole ploy is a ruse. Give us amnesty for those already here (nearly 30 million now) and we’ll close the border. That’s what they’re want.

Why? Once those 30 million are legal, they will bring in their parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, etc. Multiply 30 million by five or more. It’s a big number.

The Democrats and the pro-illegal immigration organizations (Puebla Sin Fronteras, left wing Catholic Churches, Vida Americana, ACLU, etc.) are intent upon turning this country into a Venezuelan type of autocracy. They believe, with good reason, that they can use these illegal arrivals as the key to one party rule.

There is no other explanation for Biden and the Democrat party’s stance on the border. If anyone has another explanation, please share it.

  4. Is there anyone who can’t see through this kind of transparent gaslighting?

I don’t think of it as gaslighting as much as an inability to see reality. I think they actually believe these lies they tell themselves to keep their self-images afloat. Many of them appear to be genuinely mentally ill.

  5. Neo > “Problem is, although that sounds awful and is awful, that’s probably all they realistically can do.”

That’s the same thing the GOP has been whining about for years, even decades, on immigration and other issues.
That doesn’t mean they have to SUPPORT the bill, like McConnell appears to be doing.
How about fighting against it and being blatantly run over by the Democrats, instead of hopping on the band wagon with them?

This is how we got Trump the first time.
The Republicans kept saying they couldn’t do anything about the border until they had a majority in the House; they got one.
Then they had to have a majority in the Senate; they got one.
Then they couldn’t do anything with a Democrat president; they got a Republican one.

Then they still kept dragging their heels and obstructing Trump’s wall and his EO’s on illegal immigration.

How often does the GOPe have to tell us their priorities before we believe them?

PS I have no problem with legal, controlled, orderly, and beneficial immigration.
I despise lawless governments, and congresses that pass laws they know will be broken but not punishing the lawbreakers, and justices who are too craven to admit what we all know is happening.

Reagan fell for the same con, because he didn’t get the closure BEFORE the amnesty. At the time, he still believes there were Democrats with personal honor who would keep their word.

We don’t have that excuse anymore.

  7. Eric, & everyone: we still have a chance to speak up.
Pls, call or contact your senators AND
your Congress reps!! (–via the links at each politician’s official website).
They need to KNOW we are paying attention, & that NOT caving on the border invasion matters!
Funding other countries’ wars should always be 2nd to fixing America’s crises — repairing our sovereignty and border security !!

  8. Marlene (12:00 am) implores,

“Pls, call or contact your senators AND your Congress reps!!”

I’m reminded of a bumper sticker from more than half a century ago:

THE MAJORITY ISN’T SILENT, THE GOVERNMENT IS DEAF.

I live in California. Contact *my* senators/reps? You kiddin’ me??

  9. I commend the exchange of comments at the LI post Neo linked.
The pros and cons of the bill are discussed, with some artful pro-legalese contested by the con-refutations.
Bottom line: what Biden Inc is doing now MAY be legal under current law, if it’s stretched as thin as pie crust at a boarding house, but it is contrary to the plain sense of the immigration laws, is dangerous to the nation’s security, and is an act of deliberate will, because the Democrats are manipulating every loophole they can find (in addition to PAYING people to bring the invaders over the border and then take care of them when they get here*).

  10. Connection two of Neo’s posts today.
    https://libertyunyielding.com/2024/01/29/terrorist-caught-illegally-crossing-the-border-was-allowed-to-roam-free-for-nearly-a-year-memo-says/

The unnamed individual, who the memo only identifies as a member of the Somali terror group al-Shabaab, was released shortly after being caught illegally crossing the southern border near San Ysidro, California on March 13, 2023, according to the memo, which the DCNF is not publishing in order to protect the identity of a confidential source. The Terrorist Screening Center “deemed him a ‘mismatch’” after running his name through the terror watchlist, according to the memo, which was sent to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.

However, on January 18, 2024, the Terrorist Screening Center “made a redetermination” that the individual was “a confirmed member of al-Shabaab” and was involved in the use, manufacture or transport of explosives or firearms, the memo states. Two days later, ICE nabbed the al-Shabaab member in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

This must be part of Ilhan Omar’s “Somalia First” policy.
Why else would the man have gone to Minnesota?

It allegedly took our US officials 10 months to realize their “mistake,” which allowed a Somali terrorist to roam free in the US.

Maybe letting in military-aged men from all over the world with minimal screenings isn’t the best national defense policy?

  12. Mayorkas has been chosen by Biden’s handlers to go under the bus to appease border policy critics. It’s questionable if the RINOs and Squishes in the House will even manage to impeach him.

  13. “Is there anyone who can’t see through this kind of transparent gaslighting?”
Most democrats… who as is clear in chicago and other places, seem to forget what Malcom X said about voting and their special place in it, and how they dont seem to connect the dots when it comes to things like ‘migrants’ and limited goody bags from the state.

I said a long time ago, the game was over.
    why?
the simple fact that people love their misery and story of their hard lives and when they vote and it don’t go the way they wanted, they have the memory of a goldfish and just keep rewarding their really bad people over and over again.

Kind of like a train with no brake handle!
    (cue up locomotive breath)

  14. Do Muslim crickets chirp the “most beautiful sound in the world” – BHO?

Regarding the confirmed Somalian terrorist apprehended in Minneapolis Illan Omar silently nods?

Trying out for a Chat bot job?

  16. Lankford is one of the worst negotiators think of him like woody allen with the gun made of soap.

  17. Artfldgr:

“Is there anyone who can’t see through this kind of transparent gaslighting?”
    Most democrats…”

Absolutely. All the democrats I’m in contact with routinely express sympathy for those “poor immigrants just trying to get here to survive” and how awful the Republicans are for promoting harm to these innocent people.

  18. There are none so blind as those who will not see.
Most of the Democrats and all of the left stand with their eyes tightly closed.

  19. As I said, it is time to build your security within your own physical community.
There is no point relying on the R party to fix anything. They have been throwing this country under the bus since Roe V Wade.

One example: MT finally got control of the government in 2022. Guess, guess what their first efforts at legislation were–STOP ALL ABORTION and OPEN SEASON on hunting Wolves. So this year the Democrats are putting a referendum on the ballot to permit all abortions any time. Has the R party come up with anything to counter this effort? No–not yet–probably not smart enough to get a referendum of their own on the ballot. One that would limit abortions after 14 weeks. NAH baby they have been fighting this losing game for fifty years–nothing else is so GD important for them. Don’t expect them to show up at the border

  20. And you can bet your house and bank account that about 40% of voters will STILL vote for Biden for president, regardless of who runs against him.

Biden is openly violating US law by intentionally and purposefully allowing millions of illegals into the USA; and he has the full support of the demokrats in the US congress.

The response of the dumbpublicans is finally !!! attempting to impeach the lying POS Mayorkas, but he is merely following orders (following orders ????? geez, where have I heard that before?) .

While there is all sorts of news about external threats to the USA, the greatest threat to our constitutional republic is from internal sources who simply hate with every fiber of their being, our system of govt, the constitution, capitalism and even the existence of the USA.

Bill O’Reilly said it best that the real problem here in the USA is “incompetent voters.”

  21. “Is there anyone who can’t see through this kind of transparent gaslighting? ”

I was talking with a co-worker of mine about a year and a half ago, and we were discussing the border. He was a Dem, he knew I was a Republican. Generally this wasn’t an issue, and we sometimes discussed political issues.

I told him what happens with people coming over the border, and what happens when they’re apprehended. He didn’t believe me. He was convinced I was making it all up.

That’s what we’re dealing with. People don’t understand how absurd the border situation is, and how flagrantly the administration is acting in abetting the situation. They refuse to believe it simply because it’s such an obvious violation of the administration’s duties.

Additionally, there’s apparently an embargo on news about the Feds cutting the wire at the Texas border. So many people don’t know about that.

  22. One thing that many people and lefties don’t get about this situation, is how important valid ID and a figurative footprint in the US is.

This topic came up with a friend of mine concerning modest level crimes. He didn’t believe me that sometimes law enforcement just let’s these no ID immigrants go. We were at an event with sheriff deputies in attendance. So we asked them.

If there is no ID or valid registered vehicle or address, they often let them go. We don’t have enough room in the county jails was one excuse. They may, or may not, fingerprint them first so that they can detect repeat offenders.

  23. One solution to the problem m ight be to read Kurt Schlicter’s new book, “The Attack.” It is very well written and is the best of his books. Almost all the Amazon reviews are 5 star. It explains very well what those “military age young men” are doing here.

  24. The libs/progs will only learn when armed mobs of illegals storm thought their neighborhoods seeking to recreate October 7th.

  25. “PS I have no problem with legal, controlled, orderly, and beneficial immigration.”

Why the need to say this? I see similar come up all the time. It’s irrelevant in the current context. The issue under debate is illegal immigration.

I think Ted’s ’65 Immigration Act should be revised, but at this point it isn’t viable to do and that isn’t the current debate.

  26. “Yes, really. FIVE THOUSAND invaders per day. That’s what Senate GOP leadership thinks is tolerable.”

NO. That’s what the Senate GOP leadership’s donors think is tolerable.

Problem is, although that sounds awful and is awful, that’s probably all they realistically can do. They are not a majority. Even if they were, they can’t override a Biden veto.” neo

NO. That’s all they’re willing to do. The GOP House majority could only pass single issue bills. That would put the Senate RINOs and the democrats feet to the fire. Those without a stomach for the fight that would come insist it would shut down the government and they would get blamed for it by the media. That’s true, so what? If these GOP congressmen were worthy of their office they’d place the country first over their careers. They’re all millionaires, so it’s not like they’d get hurt financially. Instead, they enable the country continuing down the road to hell.
