The Biden administration gives Iran the gift of unfreezing six billion dollars — 12 Comments

  1. Why? Why was this deal done? Why? This is beyond idiotic dementia in Slow Joe. It is the faceless, nameless Democratic Party operatives in the White House, but to what reason?

  2. It’s Barky’s Administration 2.0 giving Iran all the cash they can to help Iran get what they want.

  3. Cicero: You will see in the next few months a TV advertisement from the Biden administration saying something like: “Your President cares about every one of you, including those who are rotting in Iranian jails.” Let’s see what he does about the WSJ journalist in Moscow. It doesn’t matter: even Democrats are saying they don’t want Joe to run again.

  4. John Kirby, who wears a single stripe as a Rear Admiral in the US Navy, told us today that “money is not fungible.” That’s because a bank in Qatar is guaranteeing that the money will be spent on humanitarian projects. John Kirby should be relieved of his stripe for that lie. Money is, and continues to be, fungible. No Qatari bank can guarantee that money will not end up in the hands of terrorists. He should be cashiered, his stripe should be torn off in a public ceremony, and he should lose his retirement. Nothing personal — you just lied. And backed the wrong horse.

  5. Hey, what’s the problem.
When the UK and France gave Hitler the Sudetenland, then Hitler was satisfied with this additional territory and he no longer sought greater Lebensraum for the Deutsche Volk.
It worked just as intended, did it not?

And when Putin took Crimea, that too satisfied his territorial expansionist urges.
    It worked just fine.

So why on earth is anybody criticizing the USA – Iran deal? After all, Iran has promised to use the $$$ for humanitarian purposes, haven’t they?

All the above just proves that Trump’s comments on the stupidity of USA foreign policy and of those in our govt. that pursue these policies is just all wrong.

  6. Contrary to you heathens, I am delighted to know that if kidnapped in a foreign country, I will be ransomed by my govt..

However, we may expect random kidnappings in the near future by criminals testing the waters.

  7. John Tyler;

I see what you did there. Kudos. Nicely played.

Speaking of Crimea, though, it appears from today’s news that Sevastopol is now in range of Ukrainian drones. I am guessing they will not have a very large payload, but so far they were accurate enough to take out two ships in dry-docks. That not only destroyed the ships (one of them a submarine), it also ties up the dry dock, perhaps permanently. Early reporting is that the Russians were able to interdict five of seven drones, but the remaining missiles managed to take out one ship per missile. That’s a good batting average.

Next — renewed attacks on the bridge over the Kerch Strait, which has already been reduced to about half its previous traffic. I don’t want to get too optimistic, but this is a big deal.

  8. No mention here of the timing of the announcement to closely coincide with 9/11, which out of everything, I find the most despicable.

  9. Calm down!!
    Just calm down!!!
Honest A. Blinken has informed us that giving the mullahs the moolah is IN AMERICA’S BEST INTERESTS.
“US allows $6 billion transfer as part of Iran prisoner swap”—
    https://www.reuters.com/world/us-allows-6-billion-transfer-part-iran-prisoner-swap-2023-09-11/
    Laughable graugh:
“…Secretary of State Antony Blinken determined that waiving the sanctions was in the national security interests of the United States…”
So file away!…under: “…Rejoice, Rejoice, WE HAVE NO CHOICE….”

  10. Okay, okay, so Biden again did something against the USA’s interests. At least he’s not that nasty man Trump!
