  1. Election results demonstrate conclusively that Joe Biden is the greatest president and politician in American history.

Most votes for president ever and largest percentage increase.

    Smallest losses ever in mid-terms.

Did the elections match the reality in the nation? Or maybe, just maybe, the votes tallied don’t reflect the votes of real people.

To believe these elections are honest requires a suspension of disbelief that no successful fiction has ever produced. In Star Wars, Han Solo’s broken-down bucket of bolts was capable of hyperspace travel through the galaxy. I find that far more believable than the Biden election performance.

  2. Sadly, my pessimistic expectations for the 2022 midterm elections have come true. Here’s my prediction for the coming year.

John Fetterman, stroke victim and newly-elected Senator from Massachusetts, will be appointed our new vice president, after Kamala Harris resigns, so she can spend more time with her family. After a decent interval, Biden will also resign, so he can find more time to read.

Fetterman will become our new president.

Democrats will call it a victory over ableism.

Republicans will call it a victory for the deep state.

  3. Cornflower-
Biden is told to resign. He does, of course.
Kamala is told to appoint Newsome as VP, and further that she will be allowed to remain president for the remainder of her term until 2024 if she declines to run for President.
Together they “fix” the voting system.
All hail President Newsome 2024-2032! Then Newsome’s VP AOC succeeds to the presidency.
Fetterman has to settle for Secretary of State under Newsome. Buttigieg is promoted to Secretary of Defense.

“We found state databases where votes that had already been counted were subsequently deleted, or where thousands of mail-in ballots were received back by the government before they’d even been mailed out (Pennsylvania). ”

“Confessions of dropbox stuffers in Georgia led us to track and identify hundreds of individual ballot carriers, as well as the organizations that paid them to drive all over the state, delivering the fraudulent votes that changed the outcome.

In Arizona, the most corrupt state in the nation, where dropboxes are unnecessary because it’s legal for one voter to deliver up to 10 ballots, we had video footage of Democratic Party poll workers paying voters to take a stack of 10 ballots and vote them. That video footage led to indictments—but only of the people actually caught on film. The people paying for and organizing the fraud remain at liberty. We know who they are. The FBI knows too, but it’s hard to tell whether they’re interested.”

No matter how bad you think it is, it’s worse. It’s been really bad for decades. Now they have exponentially more ways to cheat.

Get in their faces. Embarrass them relentlessly. Raise hell. Fight.

  5. As they say on Instapundit, rating true

    Lavern Spicer on Twitter

“I don’t care if Ron DeSantis is the nominee.

I don’t care if Donald Trump is the nominee.

I don’t care if the ghost of George Washington is the nominee.

If we have mail-in voting and ballot harvesting, Joe Biden is going to win in 2024.

Take it to the bank and cash it

  6. An election where most view current conditions negatively, yet vote to retain the status quo. We had 16 months of Covid chaos, lockdowns, arrests, hysteria, loss of jobs. Add 6 months of rioting, looting and arson in 2020. Wonder if that didn’t condition and numb voters to the societal breakdown where is seemed “normal”, so they voted normal.

  7. In my comment above, I made several predictions. I stand by all of them, except one: Pennsylvania will not be absorbed by Massachusetts. I got a little careless with my research. Never thought it could happen to me.

  8. It’s great to be concerned about excessive mail-in voting and ballot harvesting, but realistically I doubt that there’s much that can be done about it in most of the places where it may be occuring. You have to have at least some control of the apparatus in order to try to fix it.

I guess this is just my way of griping that I’m finding it difficult to see how Republicans can win in 2024 given the current landscape no matter who the candidates are on either side. Unless things get so incredibly bad in this country that enough low information people finally get really angry and actually start pushing back.

This is something of an important story. Tucker mentioned it, & I’m just beginning to grasp the implications of it.

So Sam Fried of FTX poured $40M into Dem campaigns and his company then blew up & he and many others have lost vast sums.

The kicker is that apparently there were many red flags about this FTX operation and Federal gov. agencies were warned and did nothing. Recall, that there were lots of red flags about Bernie Madoff and that character Mr. (?) Stanford. The Stanford one was well documented with the Texas regional branch of the SEC doing a whole investigation that missed the then coming blow up.

It not just that government agencies have become politicized, but are perhaps thoroughly corrupted. Although, it’s also possible that the financially corrupt CEOs/actors are specifically greasing the palms of those agency power brokers that are known to be politicized and corrupt.

  10. Nonapod,

I agree. My only positive thought is that maybe someone (e.g. a Gov. Kari Lake) could really investigate and crack open a big vote stealing or manufacturing operation and expose it to the nation. And then I wake up.

  11. A quick note from James Woods:

The Democrat-Ukraine-FTX money laundering circle jerk is the kind of story that would have won the Pulitzer Prize for the Washington Post back when either of them meant something.

Now it’ll just be a Twitter footnote at best.

  12. Great song choice Neo. I’ve been listening to the Eagles hits in my car, and that one in particular caught my attention. It’s a rather soft and soothing song, but it has a slow build in power and intensity and vocal harmony in the second half.

That’s not so unusual. Actually, nothing is ever very unusual in the Eagles songs by intent, which is perhaps why some don’t like them. They always aimed for a type of perfection which is also very conventional.

But this song really is quite perfect to my ears. It’s so warm and lush and maybe is supposed to express the aftermath of fleeting fame and attention.

    Joe Walsh on keyboards?

  13. This Ron Desantis ad from 2018 while running for Governor might explain why President Trump is critical of DeSantis in 2022.

It’s a clever ad, and riding the coattails doesn’t begin to describe the ad.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1YP_zZJFXs

Did Vice President Pence bite his lip, ala Clinton, when answering a question about Trump’s criticism of him not going along with the notion of returning the electors from the disputed states back to their legislators to sort out? He claimed it was illegal, but it wasn’t– there was historical precedent for it. A better answer would have been sending them back would have been a bad look since he was on the ticket and would have benefitted from an election reversal.

Pence is thinking of running. Good for him. Let’s see…from which candidate will he peel of votes?

  14. Trump was outraged that the 2020 election was stolen. The ossified branch of the Republican party rejected and ostracized Trump for his outspoken anger. Now the 2022 election has been stolen by the same people in the same way. And his critics don’t have the decency to admit that Trump was right about 2020, and that they failed to do anything about it.

  15. Yeah, it’s definitely a depressing Monday morning given the comments already here. I agree, there’s not much to be very happy about. Lake going to lose via the D steal in AZ, the House probably lost also.

I can’t see voting our way out of this, The Ds have played their game perfectly, along with the help of such GOPe’s as McConnell. Not sure what is going to happen next. My best guess is now that the country is totally under the left’s control, and that over half the population is OK with that, or either don’t care, We will probably become Europe, or more likely Venezuela. Divorce or a hot CW2 seem unlikely.

  16. Wish people would not joke about Newsome. I am in California and can tell you Newsome would be much worse than Biden.
Biden wants things like electric cars. Newsome and his gang will decree it.

  17. Wish people would not joke about Newsome. I am in California and can tell you Newsome would be much worse than Biden.

I don’t believe that the cynical joke was an attempt to somehow make Newsome seem less bad than Biden. And it was barely a joke, really. It was sort of gallows humor at best. After all it’s only really a “joke” if you think it’s absurd that such outcomes could actually happen, which judging from most of these comments, I don’t believe people around here think it’s actually that unlikely.

As to whether a president Newsome would be somehow “worse” than Biden, I can’t say. It’s like comparing stage 4 lymphoma to pancreatic cancer or something. Because Newsome evidently still posesses all his mental faculties, an argument could be made that he’s more of a Knave than a Fool I guess, if that matters.

  18. Can’t believe our “leaders” could be this corrupt, but given what we’ve seen lately, it could be true.

It’s not a stretch to think Ukraine’s oligarchs haven’t been taking a cut of money US is sending to Ukraine, but depressing to think Democrats were also taking their cut.

“But consider the implication of the article, and sequi pecuniam:

    1. the misadministration of Bai Den Jo gets Congress to give billions of dollars in aid to the Ukraine. This effort, it should be noted, includes Republicans as well as Democrats. In other words, the “narrative” about Russia = Bad and The Ukraine = Good is a bipartisan orthodoxy;
    2. Once this money arrives in The Ukraine, its leaders and oligarchs take their “cut”, and then “invest” the remainder in FTX and Blankman-Fried’s crypto-“currency”, which is
    3. Then laundered back to the USA to Democrat donors, candidates, and given the context, one is permitted to speculate that perhaps some of this money was used to effect the results of the last “selection”.”

  19. TommyJay:

I really really like the song, too. It’s smooth but catchy, and the words are interesting.

By the way, I put it up right now because of the words, which make me think of Trump and DeSantis, the new kid in town.

  20. As Stan writes above in COMMENT four — “ Get in their faces. Embarrass them relentlessly. Raise hell. Fight.” BOFFO!

The BIGGEST target of my outrage shall be dispensed on “The Dumbest Geration Grows Up” by Mark Bauerlin (sp?). The title is something on how they are dangerous to us.

    What “Election?”

“HOW CAN YOU IDIOTS” — albeit well indoctrinated— “ACTUALLY VOTE FOR Big Brother?” That’s such dangerous stupidity that when we war-minded American radicals get done exsanguinating their Dear Leaders, then we’re coming after them!

BECAUSE THAT’S HOW WE PASSIONATE AMERICAN PATRIOTS LOVE OUR RADICAL AND ‘FIGHTING FOR LIBERTY’ FOUNDERS!

Sam Adams — As for me, I say ‘Give Liberty or Death!’

They can go suck on my third leg (as the Dutch delicately put it). Let my HATRED POUR OUT! Let my passions move them to be More self-conscious, more conscientious — maybe a smidgen more knowledgeable and mature…SOON. VERY SOON. Or else my rage will infect the multitudes and affect these bastards and dumb…be-at-ches.

Stan is the man here, I salute you with a drink to you this evening. Thanks.

  21. BrianE (@1:52) — “ Can’t believe our “leaders” could be “this corrupt, but given what we’ve seen lately, it could be true.”

Oh come now! Of course it’s True.

You don’t seriously think Obama’s trillion dollar 2009 infrastructure spending package was merely for payback to doners like Solyndra owner’s and its sister wind tower project in a Boulder, CO — only a half billion dollar Fed guarantee on its collapse, instead of a full billion — for a big bucks Dem diner in both cases, do you?

Peter Svheizer documented that other spending went to sue and settle with the feds style grift laundering schemes to enviro and “civil rights” type sons of Acorn groups, the NGO magia of the corrupt Democrat machine arsenal.

You cannot doubt that those precedents of nationalised Dem political corruption have been emulated through these multiple trillion dollar spending special “emergency” spending packages over the last fifteen years?

The one that Mitch McConnell supported similar gargantuan special appropriations bills through Congress, sowing mega tens of millions in exactly the same way? To support The People’s Enemies?

And Mitch blocked Trump’s attempt to end all special appropriation trillion dollars cluster-faux debt slavery?

    C’mon! It’s the DC way!

THIS is how corrupt deals flow out the People’s Congress in to the trough of of Democratic get out the vote and CorruptoCRATS sinecures.

It’s why the US is declining, and absent genuine killing rebellions, DOOMED.

GET THE F— real, man. It’s been growing from bad (Obamagate times) to Evilly much worse.

Trump’s the speed bump to him. He’s road kill.

Now, it’s “Next one up!” Can be brought. Not Trump.

  22. This is the Eagles most “Dan Fogelberg” sounding song. Easy and rhythmic with those “ooh’s” and “aah’s” harmonies. Very 1970’s. I danced to this song with a girl at a 6th grade dance when the song was new. And, yes, I was a new kid in town.

  23. There were so many nice touches in “The Big Lebowski.”

One was this scene in which the Jeff Bridges character has had a rough night. He attempts to return to his apartment by cab and the driver is playing the Eagles’ “Peaceful Easy Feeling.”

Bridges doesn’t want to hear the Eagles and complains. The driver who is black and wearing a leather African pillbox hat replies, “That’s my [effing] music. Get your own [effing] cab!” and throws Bridges out.

    Nice touch.

  24. Thanks for the video, Neo. Nice bit of nostalgia from when America was still great, compared to today.

Yes, TommyJay, looked like Joe Walsh on keyboards. His trademark clowning brought a smile.

  25. I was thinking of The Big Lebowski when I wrote my comment. I’m sure it is possible to not like the Eagles, though I’ve always been a fan.

  26. My favorite Eagles song is actually Don Henley’s “The Boys of Summer,” later performed with the reunited Eagles.

–“Don Henley – The Boys of Summer (OFFICIAL VIDEO)”
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kv0noMoJKPE

It addresses that terrible personal crisis in which you discover you are aging, the world keeps changing, and you can’t go back to your twenties again or that perfect young love.

I can really feel the bite of autumn in the song. ‘Course I picked up the Dylan Thomas reference in the title immediately.

    https://poets.org/poem/i-see-boys-summer

  27. Thanks for the link, huxley. I will listen when I’m where I can play music. That’s one of my favorite Eagles songs too, though I think I may finally getting tired of it.
I’m not a poetry guy, so I always thought the title was from Roger Kahn’s book about 50’s New York baseball players.
