Speaking of the two-tiered system of justice… — 28 Comments

  1. it’s not merely american politics, he hold up the standard of antiglobalist forces in western europe, and supports dissidents in china, some of his allies like expatriate mogul miles gu, are considered dubious,

  2. When the rule of law lies buried within the ground, only “might makes right” remains. When once again in the majority, if the GOPe does nothing of substance to address these legitimate grievances, then they will have rendered the Constitution a dead letter.

At that point, “politics by other means” will be the sole remedy against the tyranny Orwell so presciently warned of…

  3. I heard A. McCarthy opining that he would have to spend time in jail, suggesting they would make the terms concurrent and 30 days. Once again McCarthy give too much benefit to the deep staters/globalists/far-left fascists running the show, IMO.

They are going to make an example of him. After all this is the “most dangerous and sweeping assault on the United States Congress since the War of 1812,” according to a democrat. I predict one year for each count. There are a couple of bigger fish to fry– Mark Meadows, Peter Navarro and Dan Scavino.

Just like the Russia hoax, the left, who knew President Trump was guilty, are convinced treason was committed after the 2020 election, and they just need to find the smoking gun.

  4. my friend clarice feldman, sort of the earlier version of sidney powell, reversed one of the watergate related convictions on appeal, earlier in her career, it involved the san diego city manager, who was in negotiations with ITT re the 1972 Convention site, anthony sampson was one who made a small note of the matter, the crux of it was a technical issue made by a committee staffer, which was forward to the Jaworski minion, he failed upward to a board directorship at United Technology,
his target eventually rose to higher office in the state party, he passed on in 2016,

  5. Quick summary regarding DC courts: Bannon guilty, Sussmann not guilty. Kangaroos all the way down in the courts there.

  6. The part I don’t understand. I thought by Jan 6 Bannon wasn’t working with Trump and hadn’t been for years. So in theory I didn’t understand why they wanted to talk to him in the first place. Ok, admittedly I saw it as little more than an attempt by the corrupt to harass someone for helping Trump as the real reason they did all of this. Did they ever come up with a good excuse why Congress wanted to talk to him?

  7. the process is the punishment, he was an adjunct advisor, unlike navarro, who was part of the administration, they have despised him since the tea party rise,

  8. Bannon should win his appeal but I wonder if they will insist on jail while the appeal is being heard. This is 100% punitive.

  9. Mark steyn coined it seeing the fitzapalooza aimed at black and libby and then his own experience (for rendering an opinion)

  10. Eric Holder is smiling. He was held to be In Contempt of Congress, but no trial was held. Good to be one of the In People.

  11. “two-tiered system of justice”
Historically illiterate Dems will say “Serves you conservatives right for oppressing Black Americans all those years. How does it feel with the shoe on the other foot?”

In fact white Christian Republicans freed Black slaves. Democrats owned slaves… formed the KKK … passed Jim Crow laws.
Decades later Dems found ways to destroy the Black Family using other people’s tax payments for welfare programs.

GeoffreyB: The GOP has made it clear for years that they won’t fight back and won’t stand up for the rights of Traditional Americans.

  12. Perhaps less than a decade ago, most on the right were still convinced that those on the left were sincere but gravely mistaken. That opinion is no longer held by any, least of all by the craven RINO, though they pretend to themselves otherwise.

The graver the injustice they visit upon us, the harder they harden our hearts toward them. Nor does their righteous fanaticism allow them to recognize the deeply held revusion they are creating in those who once considered them their countrymen.

  13. Let’s party like it’s 1776.

Ah, it’s time all good men should buckle down, learn to read French and get to studying with a view to mastery Montesquieu’s DE L’ESPRIT DES LOIS?

We can hardly do better than to follow that path (as our founders showed the way), so very well then . . . Let’s get to it. Not a minute to waste as the hour is late.

  14. Another j6 plantado mark angust committed suicide well done gauletier garland

  15. I saw Bannon twice on TV on Friday. On his show, he was laughing.

I saw his lawyer say the appeal was “bulletproof.” I hope he’s right. It sounded good.

Bannon better not be jailed during the appeal. He could serve his term and the case would be reversed. Entirely in the judge’s discretion re: jailing during the appeal. The DC Circuit could slow walk the appeal.

  16. Geoff Shepard, who was President Nixon’s deputy legal counsel (and pretty much the only person from the Nixon team still alive) has written three books detailing newly released documents. The documents show that the special prosecutor staff was all partisan Democrats, met with Judge John Sirica against all legal rules, leaked stories and shared information with the Watergate committees, and flat out lied to the grand juries.

  17. Historical note: DC juries have been um, surprising in their verdicts for a long time.
In 1929, as part of the Teapot Dome scandal,, Albert Fall, Harding’s Secretary of the Interior, was found guilty by a DC jury of taking bribes from Edward Doheny, an oilman. Toss him in the klink! cried the jury. In 1930 a different DC jury found Doheny not guilty of offering Fall bribes. No klink for you Mr. Oil Millionaire! cried the second jury.

First result: DC juries are a safe as a lap dog with rabies.

Second result: his fortune largely intact, Doheny left his millions in trust for his heirs. One of the heirs was the SF writer Larry Niven,, who didn’t have to struggle so hard at the beginning of his career.

    + Bonus:
“Blown away by this film. It mostly focuses on egregious and likely criminal conduct by Capitol and DC police on January 6–and it shows video I’ve never seen before.
“I’ve said repeatedly most of the violence on Jan 6 was caused by police—this proves it:”—

  19. Democrats aren’t even bothering to pretend respect for the Constitution or the rule of law. And their voters are fine with it.

Their voters are fine with it. They are cheering for it. Punishing anyone and everyone for a different opinion. Disagreement is an offense worthy of prison.

Those who disagree from the liberal narrative are not considered human. The same constitution which protects liberals should not be available to conservatives. And isn’t.

The evil is deep and pervasive.
