The Clinesmith guilty plea and sentencing — 12 Comments

  1. Barr and the DOJ, aided by much of the conservative establishment, have been complicit in manipulating public opinion on the political right by suggesting, time and time again, that the citizenry be patient and that justice would eventually be done. Only one relatively unimportant person (Clinesmith) is about to be “sentenced”, while Brennan, Clapper, and Comey et al grow rich on book deals and on cable television; but what is far more critical is that nothing is (seemingly) being done by the DOJ to thwart what is, without question, simply the latest iteration in the coup against Trump, for this stolen election is being questioned by almost no members of the establishment (even of the GOP), to their eternal shame.

  2. j e:

Actually, a lot of people in the GOP have questioned it and supported Trump in his questioning it. I wrote either a post or several long comments illustrating that – don’t have time to look for it right now, but I’ll try to do so later today.

  3. Why barnes still hasn’t been hired by trump to lead his legal challenge effort is beyond comprehension.

  4. Now is the perfect time for Montage to boldly appear and expand on his contention that Neo’s readers are irrationally susceptible to belief in theories focusing on non-existent conspiracies against the Trump administration in particular, and Hillary’s so-called basket of social deplorables, (in other words, them) in general.

It will be as the theme goes, “exquisitely amusing” to watch his contortions as he argues that the collective and planned FBI personnel actions to obtain fraudulent FISA warrants in order to damage the Trump administration were not “a conspiracy” because no relevant criminal intent has been proven, well exactly, sort of, in the precisely required sense to match the federal statue controlling …. maybe.

Hillary of course was herself something of an expert in conspiracies; having famously detected – so she said- a vast right-wing one directed against her and the mister; and in funding and germinating through the Steele Dossier, the meat of another.

You should consider listening to the full podcast from the past two Sundays. Barnes doesn’t disclose much, but it is pretty clear from both of the podcasts that he is providing quite a bit of advice directly to Trump and Trump’s legal team.

DNW: Just in case Montage throws down another debunking link on Fulton County, GA, the Federalist has done another bang-up job:
    _______________________________________________

A Big Tech-backed “fact” “checking” outfit claimed to debunk explosive evidence in support of Republicans’ claims of significant election problems at a Thursday Georgia Senate hearing. It didn’t. Not even close.

Newly discovered security footage from Georgia’s State Farm Arena showed dozens of ballot counters, media, and Republican observers leaving en masse at the same time from the ballot-counting area for Fulton County. After they left, a small remnant of about four workers began pulling trunks containing thousands of ballots from underneath a table with a long tablecloth and running them through machines.

The footage supported claims from Republicans that they were told counting had stopped for the night, only to find out hours later that it had kept going on.

  7. “Former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith, who pled guilty to altering the email about Carter Page in order to get FISA warrant number four… on what the FBI actually did to Carter Page – how deep the rot is, and how much they got away with, how extraordinary was the MSM coverup, and how most people don’t even know what happened (or care) today.” neo

Oh in time they’ll care, but not until it’s too late.

When government officials can engage in blatant criminality and pay no meaningful consequence, society will get more of it, as this election demonstrates. The problem with looking the other way, of ignoring or justifying what you wouldn’t want done to you personally is that eventually the wheel turns and the willfully blind’s turn comes up.

Yahoo news, referring to the Freep is already at work on Neo`s latest revealing video material about Detroit [which I some days ago referenced and linked to a live stream on NTD while it was happening].

Our friends at Yahoo and The [ironically styled] Detroit Free Press

“The calls are some of many threats received by Democratic and Republican lawmakers in Michigan, as President Donald Trump and his allies continue to rely on conspiracy theories – not credible evidence – to argue widespread fraud led to a stolen election.

Supporters want lawmakers to step in and award Michigan’s electoral votes to Trump, although President-elect Joe Biden earned 154,000 more votes than the president. Legislative leaders have already said they have no role in intervening in the election, but that didn’t stop Trump attorneys Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis from asking lawmakers to take some action when they appeared at a House Oversight Committee meeting last week.… “

Dave Boucher Det Free Press bold added

No evidence you see. This, as he references the very meeting in which Cynthia Johnson attempted to doxx the Republican challengers who were testifying, and one of whom said in response to Johnson’s complaint, that she would be happy to testify under oath, as Giuliani pointed out to Johnson that the witnesses had already provided affidavits.

You really have to read the whole propaganda article after viewing the video to appreciate the brazen deceitfulness, and darkly comical hypocrisy of this tool Dave Douchebag at work.

Link. The best I could do to produce/copy the link from a shitty mobile device and with Yahoo working against me with a mile long referral address that had to be chopped … but repeatedly refused to be LOL

  9. Actually, Barnes has been volunteering his advice and time to the Trump election effort. He mentioned it in one of the recent podcasts.

  10. DNW,

In fairness, the article you cited stated there was “no credible evidence”, not “no evidence” whatsoever. That is incredible progress, given the attitude of most of the MSM about the mountains of evidence of vote fraud.

Of course, one has to understand the MSM lexicon. “Credible evidence” is defined as ‘anything which supports the progressive/leftist narrative’. And only that. Any evidence refuting the narrative is “not credible”. QED.

  11. In soberer times, this story would receive significant media coverage and cause bipartisan outrage. But we do not live in sober times.

Very few people not on the right (including leftists, liberals, the few true ‘moderates’ still out there and the apolitical) know anything of this story. And few would care even if they did learn about it. More seriously, I think most liberals, were they given all the facts of this case, would, at very best, shrug; at, worst, would endorse everything that was done to Page, and the slap on the wrist Clinesmith is likely to get. Since Trump is Hitler, any and all means to destroy him (including assassination, in the minds of a disturbingly large number of liberals) is entirely justified.

I’m talking about liberals here, not leftists. I’m confident most of the liberals I know (granted, many of whom are on the precipice of full throated leftism) would cheer on the actions of Clinesmith and his superiors.

This is bone-chillingly scary because: we are all Carter Page. And we are all Michael Flynn. And we are all Donald Trump. By “we” I mean anyone right of center (and the Overton Window keeps moving that center further and further left). The deep state can easily do this to any of us. They won’t to most of us, because we’re inconsequential. But they can. And, assuming Harris takes over in January, there will be very little to stop them. Thank God for the Barrett appointment! It’s a thin lifeline, but a lifeline nonetheless.

  12. It’s scary if you are weak or woke up too late.

2020, to my life as a Son of God, has been one of the best if not the best year. This is the joy that surpasses understanding. The peace of the ages.
