Surprise, surprise: anarchists in charge… — 15 Comments

  1. I know Cap Hill fairly well; my wife is a Seattle University alum, although it has gentrified a great deal since her college years, 20 years ago. Nonetheless, there are areas (including the area in question) that are exactly as Ace describes. When I got the news alert about the Antifa takeover, my initial reaction was “that took longer than I expected”. I figured something like it would happen within 24 hours of the first riots in Minneapolis.

No one who knows Cap Hill should be in any way surprised at what is happening…and…how it is now playing out.

  2. So this is a failed state, then? Does not control its territory. But the state could take it back in about 20 minutes. I live in a suburb of San Francisco, so I am familiar with fools who shut down bridges and commuter trains, but this scene is just unimaginable to me.

  3. It is the function of police to keep the peace, not to win it. That is the function of soldiers.

  4. Ace has a thesaurus.

Well, the BEST part of this is that the Democrats support this, and will get down on one knee to serve these people, cause they certainly wont serve the establishment democrats.

    Robespierre…
    Robespierre…
    where for art though
    Robespierre…

Deny thy state, and refuse the people
for if thou wilt not, be but sworn to the cause
and we will no longer be Americans!

These are the laws of my administration:
    No one’s allowed to smoke,
    Or tell a dirty joke,
    And whistling is forbidden.

We’re not allowed to tell a dirty joke.
    HAIL, HAIL, FREEDONIA

    If chewing gum is chewed,
    The chewer is pursued,
    And in the hoosegow hidden.

If we should choose to chew,
    We’ll be pursued.

If any form of pleasure is exhibited,
Report to me and it will be prohibited.
I’ll put my foot down; So shall it be
This is the land of the free.
The last WOman nearly ruined this place,
SHe didn’t know what to do with it. (Jenny Durkan)
If you think this country’s bad off now,
Just wait ’till I get through with it.

    The treasury is low on dough;
The last man went and flew with it.
If you think we’re short of money now
Just wait ’till I get through with it.

The country’s taxes must be fixed,
And I know what to do with it,
If you think you’re paying too much now,
Just wait ’till I get through with it.

In our midst you stand The ruler of this land,
A man who’ll govern with an iron hand.

If anyone gets fresh with me,
    I’ll show him who’s the boss;
    I’ll stand upon my dignity,
and toss him for a loss.
And this will be the penalty,
    For those who double cross,
We’ll stand ’em up against the wall,
    and Pop goes the Weasel!

  5. Each one hopes that if he feeds the crocodile enough, the crocodile will eat him last. All of them hope that the storm will pass before their turn comes to be devoured. But I fear-I fear greatly-the storm will not pass. It will rage and it will roar, ever more loudly, ever more widely. Churchill…

Letter to a Progressive Young Relation
    https://ricochet.com/767085/letter-to-a-progressive-young-relation/

Maschmann grew up in Germany and joined the BDM (the girls’ version of the Hitler Youth) eventually becoming one of its lead propagandists.
    [snip]
Maschmann wishes to explain ( not excuse) herself. She wants her friend to understand how an ordinary, normal German girl came to be a full and active member of a movement for social justice (that was the term they used), one that would eventually force her Jewish friend to emigrate from Germany to escape the Holocaust that murdered millions.
    [snip]
It is unnerving to read the book, because she is so completely recognizable. She could be any of us.

Just how easy is it for an honest, intelligent, unusually idealistic person to get seduced by a movement that harnesses idealism to cruelty, and teaches nice men and women to rationalize the demonic?

  7. OM,

Sounds about what I would expect from Inslee. But I wouldn’t call him “King Jay”; that’s giving him far too much credit. He has always struck me as amiable dunce, who blindly says whatever is on the teleprompter and signs whatever his aides put in front of him. He’s there to look the part for the cameras; and, that’s about it. That’s been my opinion for years and, meeting him in person briefly last fall only reinforced this opinion.

  8. Well he’s 69…just a year or two behind Biden and Pelosi on the glide-slope to senility.

  9. ” transsexual nomads with borderline personality disorder …”

” homeless gender studies majors wiuth a personal interest in fat acceptance ”

Quite an inventory. LOL Quite a description.

That is where modern, unedited, video becomes so useful. For it presents an image of the “revolutionary” which has not been scrubbed, sanitized, and then adorned with those “humanizing” little anecdotes in the lying prose profiles generated by those mouthpieces of the revolution usually referred to as, progressive journalists …

“His eyes twinkled as a member of the youth wing of the party (her crisp white camp blouse and red neckerchief barely concealing the proud swell of her burgeoning womanhood) brought him his first cup of coffee that day. ‘You see,’ he said, while placing aside his hand rolled cigar, (one of the few pleasures this normally austere man allowed himself) and his voice resonant with deeply felt compassion, ” … It is for such as these, and for their dignity, that we undertake the labor’s of revolution, not for ourselves.’ “

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Antifa-UK is pulling down and desecrating Churchill’s statues.
Remember when Barack Obama returned the bust of the PM that had been loaned/given to the US?
