Kimberly Strassel’s book Resistance… — 3 Comments

  1. I ordered the audio version. We drive to CA to see kids and listen as we drive. I have her last book, too. She is the only reason I still subscribe to the WSJ.

  2. I’m reading it and it’s fantastic. She is a great reporter and a really clear writer. As a writer, it’s doubly exciting for me, because I’m interested in the topic, and am learning about exactly what happened, and at the same time I’m getting a master class in non-fiction. She provides the facts in exactly the right order, with exactly enough context, that it’s just a joy to read. There’s no backtracking to try to remind yourself who is who or why something is important. When something is complicated or requires a context an average reader might not have, she reminds you why it’s important or why it’s unusual, with a deft touch that doesn’t get in the way of following the story.

I’m almost halfway through, which is just about where the Mueller investigation starts.

There is a LOT of FBI wrongdoing documented here. If you’re not going to read it, let me know if you would like me to write a book report for the blog.
