Does anyone doubt for one moment… — 18 Comments

  1. I have never been a fan of the MSM–ABC,CBS,NBC,CNN, and MSNBC–but now even less so.

If you are even a little aware of the facts of what is going on, and you tune into one of these MSM supposed “news” shows, you are viewing people who live in another, a counter-factual universe, just gibbering idiots.

Moreover, gibbering idiots who are all apparently taking their orders from some Leftist/Democrat taskmaster, because they all say the same things, voice the exact same opinions, and often do so using the exact same words.

Anyone who doesn’t toe the line is pushed over the side of the crazy boat.

It appears to be a modern day replication of what took place in the old Soviet Union, when the Party functionaries who were the Party’s official “Propagandists” would gather at Party headquarters every week or couple of days to receive the Communist Party’s “current line.”

  2. Cronkite said something interesting about the Tet Offensive.

It turned out he didn’t know nothing, apparently.

Cronkite also said something about whole satellite in orbit around Earth thing. People still think that is (non fake) news.

Soviet NKVD vs mao’s Red Guard.

Pretty much the same. Humans acting like humans. Human antics. Ants thinking they are masters of all Creation.

  4. I remember the days and months after Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. I was perplexed on what he actually accomplished given that he was only in office for a single year, and thought it was really just a symbolic gesture because the whole world thought of him as a darling.

  5. WOAH! Wait….Was N. Korea snubbed for submissive bows in Mr. Obama’s initial World Apology Submission tour?
    *tsk* Decorum!

  6. Watching the media is like watching crazy people. We used to ignore them but now they seem to be in charge. I wonder if they all check in at journalist every morning to get todays talking points and narrative.

  7. Ymarsakar:

    All men are mortal.
    Sophia Loren is mortal.
    Sophia Loren is a man.

    My dog is a pet.
    My cat is a pet.
    My dog is a cat.

Cronkite made Assertion A that was incorrect.
    Cronkite made Assertion B.
Assertion B must be incorrect because Cronkite said it.

Your logic leaves quite a bit to be desired.

    And please see this.

    * * *
It was a shout-out to Orwell, considering how many wars he started or re-heated after receiving the Prize.

  9. What? you’re not familiar with the old Klingon proverb that tells us that only Trump can go to North Korea?

  10. Obama’s prize was virtue signalling by Europe. They just wanted to show that they weren’t racists like the Amis.

  11. Nothing new here. If their guy Obama does it, it’s visionary diplomacy. If Trump does it, it’s foolishly giving prestige to a monster.

The old… if it weren’t for double standards, they’d have no standards at all.

  12. People are forgetting the concern about the Norks at the end of Obama administration. What could be done? What could anyone do?

I think we’ve moved beyond that to “ the Norks were never a problem. What does Trump expect to gain from this shoddy display?”

  13. “Why, or why, couldn’t Obama the Great have done it?”

Obama couldn’t have done it, because Obama wouldn’t have done it.

He had a completely different vision about the world than does Prez Trump –– and those two visions are in unresolvable conflict.

  14. Magnus:

Perhaps the tone of my question wasn’t clear.

It was a sarcastic question, a rhetorical question, a pretend question.

I know why Obama didn’t do it. My point was to pose the question as though his supporters were asking it, in their own minds.

  15. Neo, thus:

” Why, or why, couldn’t Obama the Great have done it*?”

    “O the Great”?

    Oh, you mean Grima Wormtongue.

” In “The Lord of the Rings” Grima was the embodiment of hypocrisy, meanness and betrayal.”

    https://lord-of-the-rings.org/books/grima.html

    WikiFootia:

Gríma serves as an archetypal sycophant, flatterer, liar, and manipulator …

(Although the Grima in my head is a greenish, smallish creature, looking like a lizard crossed with a worm; a supplicant who fools people into thinking he must be a Grand Vizier, one of the Wise and Powerful.)

I haven’t seen and never will see the LoTR movies. :>))

–My Grima Wormtongue would be right at home in Gormenghast. :>))

  16. DNA wise i’m Tug Boat Sailor. nI hope, and am glad, my mom swapped spit with a coastie than some rando who licked ice cream.
