The liberation of the WWII Memorial — 29 Comments

  1. The level of fear this administration has engendered:

    Obama = Hitler
    Tea Partey = Jews

    Hey, don’t ignore the classics.

This little piece of shit is feared by whom? Other little pieces of shit.

Tell your neighbors, tell your friends, fuck obama.Make FO your slogan.

  2. Will the American people, like the Germans in Hitler’s period, for fear or idea or ignorance, allow this petty little piece of shit to DESTROY America?

  3. The Veterans are true heroes. They fought for America abroad, and now they are some of the few fighting for her at home.

We owe a HUGE debt of gratitude to these people. They are showing us what real mean, and women, are like. Hopefully they can wake us from our shameful cowering before these execrable bureaucrats, politicians and presidents who hate this country and never did even the first thing for it but take from it and use it.

To the Amazing Vets – and the few good pols who were there: Lee, Cruz, Palin – we owe both gratitude and imitation.

    Bravo Vets!!!

  4. Here’s to the Vets and those that stood with them in the rain today and to all those who moved the barricades including a paraplegic Vet. My hat off to them all and the truckers and bikers too!
Those barricades should be moved so they encircle obama. Jail him and throw away the key. No admission fee, a free to the public exhibit of a former puny, spiteful dictator on display.
What a malicious, mendacious speck he is. What a tiny little, pathetic excuse for a man.

  5. “Nixon had an enemies list, but how many people were truly afraid of him? And the people who were afraid of him actually were his enemies. With Obama, it seems that quite a few of the people who are afraid of him are his admirers and supporters, fellow-liberals and Democrats in the press and elsewhere.”

    Yes.

Nixon’s enemies were of the elite, one-percenters, like Nixon and ilk. The disaster-in-chief’s enemies are ordinary, non-elite people, many of whom are opposed to d-i-c, but many of whom support d-i-c (and many of whom are not or were not all that terribly concerned about matters of public policy before).

Nixon’s enemies threatened Nixon’s hold on power. The d-i-c’s enemies threaten the tenuous hold the d-i-c’s propaganda machine has on the entire d-i-c narrative, which must be sustained at all costs.

I recommend the following piece by David Horowitz. First an excerpt . . .

“But even I never thought we would be looking so soon at the prospect of a one-party state. Those words may sound hyperbolic, but take a moment to think about it. If you have transformed the taxing agency of the state into a political weapon — and Obama has; if you are setting up a massive government program to gather the financial and health information of every citizen, and control their access to care; and if you have a spy agency that can read the mail and listen to the communications of every individual in the country, you don’t really need a secret police to destroy your political opponents. Once you have silenced them, you can proceed with your plans to remake the world in your image.” — David Horowitz

    . . . then the link . . .

    http://frontpagemag.com/2013/david-horowitz/the-threat-we-face-2/

Horowitz describes exactly what is happening.

“It is finished.” (KJV, John 19:30) This might not be so, were the mainstream media not at one with the enemy — and they *are* the enemy, and not merely an opposing viewpoint (see quoted Horowitz paragraph above). Pamela Geller’s invented term “the enemedia” is perfect, . . . but I digress.

Sez M J R, it’s ‘way too late at this late date. “It is finished.”

*But* we need to keep a flame alive, because sure as I’m sitting here typing away, the history books will generally be written by the enemedia, which will block more and more history from ever being expressed, and the remnant (our progeny) will have to be inspired more and more through informal, possibly only verbal, histories.

Chroniclers like David Horowitz will be unceremoniously tossed down the memory hole. The very idea of publishing thoughts like his will become more and more unthinkable. I (we) know what these people are, the way they operate, and the way they will operate once unbound from present constraints.

  6. Eight comments so far.

    And out an outrageous outrage.

You people disgust me, you know that.

You have zero balls. Sheep. Shittle. Waiting for other people to lead.

    Afraid.

    Ohhh, someone might retialiate.

    I’m scared.

Yeah, sure, there’s a bunch of you sheep out there and as soon as you perceive its safe, then you’ll support the leader. But until then, you are sheep.

I’m hoping that I stir just one or two, because that is all that it takes. There is a universe of hatred for Obama out there. But that universe doesn’t know how to act for itself.

Here’s how you do it. Repeat after me. Fuck off Obama. Fuck off.

Now, say that out loud and to your neighbor.

  7. sharpie, 8:16 pm — “Eight comments so far.”

sharpie, do bear in mind that neo normally doesn’t post on Sunday, so many/most of us here do not normally check in at neo’s blog to see what’s up.

  8. sharpie:

Cut it out. Warning. F-word F-word F-word doesn’t do a bit of good.

And people aren’t afraid of commenting on this blog. As M J R said, it’s Sunday. It’s also Columbus Day weekend.

  9. Sharpie, learn to control your emotions before trying to control the rest of us.

Some people aren’t as easy to control and manipulate as you like to think.

  10. But even I never thought we would be looking so soon at the prospect of a one-party state.

In 2007, I came to the same conclusion as him, more or less. We, like most people, were waiting to see what Obama would surprise us with. But it was inevitable what the Left’s progress would lead to us, and it would always be a kind of hell.

The Left had all this power to do what Obama did, before Obama. They just never activated it. They were waiting for America to weaken even further. Obama did something unexpected, which is that he made the Left “go active” on the public level, to the point where people outside those who research Leftist atrocities, started realizing what hid behind the Veil of Illusion.

  11. Reneging on its debt obligations would make the U.S. the first major Western government to default since Nazi Germany 80 years ago.

Germany unilaterally ceased payments on long-term borrowings on May 6, 1933, three months after Adolf Hitler was installed as Chancellor. The default helped cement Hitler’s power base following years of political instability as the Weimar Republic struggled with its crushing debts.

  12. sharpie: I prefer FBO. I find FO too generic; it can be mistaken for just plain old eff off anybody. I am not a sheeple. The dude has a much bigger, better equipped army than I have. Some of my neighbors changed their minds after the first four years but not enough of them. In fact they think he’s doing a swell job. How does yelling FO fix that kind of stupid?

  13. We need to be talking to each other and encouraging each other to inform the brain-dead liberals and the low-information voters, even though it seems impossible. Eventually, as hard times increase, the truth will become more evident.

We are in a multi-year, possibly multi-decade fight to restore liberty and constitutional government and to weaken the voracious elitists in Washington.

I take courage from my readings about the Soviet Union (I always recommend “Gulag” by Anne Appelbaum for those who would benefit from specific examples of life in a slave society). Remember the samizdatas in the latter-day Soviet Union? These handmade newspapers spread a lot of information around.

We need to be prepared for life under totalitarian rule and to make plans accordingly. Not all of us will survive, but then some of us may be actual heroes. One never knows until one is tested.

  14. Also, even though I personally swear a lot, I’ve noticed that swearing online always makes the writer seem weak and foolish.

It’s usually better to take a neutral tone when writing.
One of my favorite writers, besides neo-neocon, is Richard Fernandez, who usually writes about outrageous things using clever phrasing and analogies. Sometimes his writing is a bit obscure, so I think neo-neocon is still the best model for political writing.

  15. The Russians fought the Communist tyranny with the help of fax machines (then a new technology). Remember that? the news was full of wonder at this.

Likewise the Chinese resistance at Tienanmen Square. Faxes.

We have the Internet — for now. Of course, it’s also traceable in ways that the faxes never were.

  16. Why say “F**K Obama”? Don’t you have any neighbors or relatives that support him? Tell them to their faces next time you talk. It’s your life and liberty they are putting on the line after all.

They are the ones that are really robbing you of your freedom – so they can offload their personal deficits on you and others through a universal “risk spreading” command.

If you can’t construct a logical argument which will demonstrate, whether they fully understand the entailments or not, that granting “their own” assumptions they cannot justifiably make the claims they are imposing on you, you will have nothing but indignation with which to react to their appropriative activities.

Do I expect that you will convince them? No. Because they will, when placed in a corner, abandon their supposed principles.

They want, and that is it. They wish to shape the human world (and ultimately the human race) in a particular way, and that is all they believe there is in the final analysis to be said: their wish and their will to realize it socially.

But, the effort will better tell you the real depth of the problem, and what those who resist will likely have to face: the moral nihilists in your own family and community.

Read these comments, if you still imagine that it is not your everyday fellow Americans who have abandoned any notion of intrinsic limits.

Rednecks don’t believe in evolution, therefore the critics of the rednecks as science savvy types, are entitled to an existential claim against your life. Or so they seem to “argue”.

  17. As mentioned before, people can either try to change the world to suit some particular goal, or attempt to change themselves.

Enslaving other nations, redistributing wealth so you can steal more money, getting more sex slaves from your Islamic allies, those are called “changing the world”, “Saving Gaia”, and so forth.

A human’s worst enemy is themselves, thus your worst enemy is the one you see in the mirror. Thus self change and improvement is far harder than changing the world. Of course, most of us know about the failures and successes in the world and don’t know about the individual triumphs and losses as much.

If a therapist tells you to change yourself, though, beware that it is not hypnotic suggestion/commands. Changing yourself by your own will is one thing. Being told to change yourself to suit society’s “morality” is quite another.

  18. I once predicted to Zachariel, whom we called “Z-man” because he wanted us to always use his full “angelic” name, that we would need to execute 50% of the bureaucrats, minimum, before anything was really fixed or reformed. He got upset about it and started acting irrational (more than usual). He’s now defending the Obama regime over at legal insurrection because we got him banned via a community vote.

So in this context, I say that Americans will soon come to consider the “50%” number to be a cheap deal to fix the problem. Now or before in the past, they might have considered it “extreme” or “crazy” or “X”, but “X” is going to be the new normal soon.

  19. Just as an observation, we might as well cherish these WWII Veterans – the freedom valuing ones anyway – for something else other than their service. Their age makes them living “relics” of a time before there could have even been a “communitarian” presumption [false though it might even now be] that the very existence or lives of these people was somehow contingent upon or traceable to a government social insurance regime.

No one can say, as many progressives would wish to do, that “You owe your very being to the progressive policy state”.

Life was possible before. It certainly should be possible after. But what happens when we have a whole class of people for whom a social redistribution program is the equivalent to access to a kidney dialysis machine?

  20. Now as we enter a new era “committed to a shared fate” as Rawls put it (at least by Federal fiat and coercion if not by moral reasoning) and assume our places as social elements in the system of utilitarian appetite dispensations, how long before we will see questions of “reproductive anarchy” being mooted in by progressive media organs?

    Any bets?

  21. The Leftists think they can keep throwing trash at the tiger in the zoo pit and the Leftists are safe up high looking down at the measly tiger that can’t reach them.

Wait until they realize that they aren’t high enough.

  22. @ Neo

    “Mike:

    “real mean??” ”

Men. mean. Today they are synonyms anyway.

Ever consider allowing commenters to correct typos and other mis-statements? I do 2-3 mispellings at least on every post it seems.

  23. “Men” is what Japanese kendo users say when hitting the top of the head/helmet in kendo matches.

This is prevalent in both sound and spelling, that women sometimes ask if women are allowed in Japanese kendo.

  24. I so wanted to join them in DC; but, family affairs kept me away. And yes, when I tried to see what the TV news was reporting about it there was very little coverage.

The same was true with the anti-war, anti-Bush protest in NYC before the coalition invaded Iraq to take out Saddam – it was all over the TV news. But the “counter-protest” showing support for Bush, the US, and the coaltiion? Almost nothing was on TV or in the papers.
