Those were the days, my friend — 30 Comments

  1. ““Hildebeast”, in her better (best??) days?”

Looks like someone in a middle or working class backyard, at rest during a break in a volleyball game or something similar.

Maybe a cyclone fence and aluminum sided (or backed) house in background; some worn grass patches, apparently a man facing the camera while trapping the side of a volley ball with his right hand …

What would Clinton be doing in an environment like that?

The big eyeglasses could be tricking folks into thinking it is Hillary. Any relatively intellectual college age female of a certain physical type and mental disposition during that era might match the template.

Cheating, I also refer back to old images of her, and Hillary had lank hair.

Ok maybe Hillary … or Neo.

  2. Absolutely not me.

I never wore glasses. And those are not the legs of a ballet dancer.

Although the other guesses are correct. The rest of the photo is here.

  3. Oh, “soccer”. After studying the image and coming up empty I posted my guess. Then I typed in “Hillary Rodham and volleyball”…

It was the first picture that came up. Took the wrong road and got there all the same.

Glad to hear it wasn’t you. It’s hell trying to be tactful and truthful.

  4. Is this part of the softening/humanizing of Hillary? Last week Drudge had a picture of Hills with a toddler-aged Chelsea.
She’s still the person who totally mismanaged the State Department (based on the suppressed IG report) and responsible for the 4 deaths in Beghazi (and subsequent cover-up). This is not a person who should be given more responsibility. She should find a cushy non-profit or women’s advocacy org leadership position and be happy she’s not in jail.

  5. I’ve seen old pics of Feinstein (as a stewardess) and Pelosi where they were at least reasonably attactive. Good looks are not a sufficient reason to elect someone. And most young women are at least somewhat attractive.

  6. Physical beauty is wonderful but its not what is on the outside that is important, its what is in the head and the heart that matters in the long run. Young Hillary was passably attractive but I suspect what was in her head at this young age was Alinsky.

“Lest we forget at least an over the shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins – or which is which), the very first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – Lucifer.”

  7. Don: there’s absolutely nothing wrong with her legs in that photo.

But ballet dancers have very very muscular legs, of a certain type (not the same as athletes).

  8. Don:

Actually, I’d wager that, if you (or most people) saw a photo of Pelosi (not Pelosi making a funny face, but a typical posed smiling photo) and had no idea who she was and had never heard of her, and then were told that the woman in the photo is 73, you’d probably think she looked relatively good for a 73-year-old.

  9. Marriage is only for those born to rule, as it allows continued passing of accumulated wealth and power.

Broken marriages, divorce, that’s something more appropriate to people working for the benefit of the State.

  10. What Neo said. While I heartily despise SanFranNan’s politics-“We have to pass the bill in order to find out what’s in it”- she is good looking for someone in her seventies. It’s her brain that’s ugly.

  11. Gringo, good and evil doesn’t rely on the brain but the heart. It’s her emotions that are wrong.

  12. Don: there’s absolutely nothing wrong with her legs in that photo.

But ballet dancers have very very muscular legs, of a certain type (not the same as athletes)

That’s really what I meant. Well, perhaps not specifically, I’m not well schooled on ballet, but she isn’t looking athletic in that pic, although her body was attractive.

  13. Actually, one does not have to guess. Google has an image search feature that identifies it as Hillary.

  14. Neo, I disagree. For one, my 76 year old wife looks better than Pelosi, and she never had surgery, botox or any of the other enhancements that are so popular with women who have passed or certain power threshold–or who, or their husbands, have achieved a certain financial level.

Of course she never drank nor smoked; although she did mess around a bit with a certain guy who did.

Actually, maybe I have been around exceptionally clean living women, because I can think of a number who are naturally more attractive in their ’70s than the re-constructed Pelosi and others of her style.

  15. Come on neo you have gotten to our curiosity. Show us what a ballerina’s (vous) legs look like.

  16. Oldflyer:

Of course there are plenty of more attractive women in their 70s than Pelosi. My point was that she is of more than average attractiveness for a woman in her 70s, if we put aside her personality and politics.
