Justin Timberlake, Leonard Cohen, and love — 10 Comments

  1. Love between 2 people over decades is a treasure. The Japanese designate a few people as national living treasures. Cohen is a living treasure.

  2. Saw both videos for the first time today. The Timberlake video is good, except the ending is weird (after he catches the ring, which is IMO the best part). Maybe I’m not artistic enough to grasp the significance of the mannequins dancing… The Leonard Cohen one, thouhg, wow. THAT moved me.

  3. Rearranging the deck chairs?

Some very interesting stuff is happening
Its easy to understand why what is coming will happen
Is that the few are too busy trying to keep it light n happy

Imagine being picked up after a real bad accident by light n happy ambulance company….

As the last generation who might have cared is that ambulance company, n they keep stopping for cake n icecream on the way to the emergency room

    At its core
The people of germany were just as dumb
Except they were the first without experience

U should read about utley and arcadia n their love
Ultimately to have love in old life
    One has to live first…..
Right now the priorities seem to be to dream
    The dreams we have lost
For dreaming will not preserve them

Its funny how we forget the little things of the past which explain so much about now….

They will be like that conversation way back
When will it be that way again???

    Never tovarish…. never
So keep dreaming till thats all we have
Or all they let us have

  4. I saw this video when you posted it once before and find it beautiful and touching. My lovely wife and I have been happily married for 30 years. That’s not bad out of 36!

  5. Beautiful. What is he holding? It looks like a rosary but there’s never a really clear view of it.

  6. Mac: somewhere I read what he’s holding, but I don’t exactly remember and can’t find the information right now. I seem to recall, though, that’s it’s a watch or some sort of necklace that belonged to one of his grandparents.

  7. That makes sense. Thanks. A rosary wouldn’t have surprised me, given ol’ Leonard’s somewhat eclectic religious leanings, but I was also wondering if there was a similar Jewish or Buddhist thing.

  8. I absolutely love your blog.. Very nice colors & theme. Did
you build this amazing site yourself? Please reply back
as I’m attempting to create my own personal website and would like to know
where you got this from or what the theme is called.
    Appreciate it!
