Obama: still pissed about the dinner tab — 35 Comments

  1. Someone should tell Obama that he spent 3/4 of billion to get his job, that he hadn’t done any homework before running, and that now he should just STFU.

  2. My recollection is that the 2007 budget, the last Republican budget, that is, had less then a $200 B deficit, mostly the wars . . . the first Democrat budget was 2008 and over $400 B.

The 2009 budget Obama “inherited” was a Democrat budget.

When have the Dems passed a budget since 2009? How many votes did Obama’s last draft budget recieve?

  3. This chump has tried to blame everything but the” Bossa Nova” for his abject failures, and on the economy It’s been:

Of course, first and foremost it’s been “Busssh”

“Economic headwinds”–this little gem has been used in dozens of speeches, starting way back in 2008 and up through a speech just last week

Automation, especially ATM machines and automated airport check in machines

    The Arab Spring

    Tax breaks

    The Tea Party

    Oil speculators

His CHOOM supplier used his master plan’s paper to roll his blunts

    The earthquake in Japan

    The “do nothing” Congress

He left it in the limo, and Larry Sinclair swiped his master plan

Things were far worse than he thought

    Bad weather

    Bad luck

    Soft and lazy Americans

The dog pissed on his master plan, and made it illegible

    Globalization

Energy companies refusing to get behind algae, and the new “Green Economy”

And, lately, it’s been that old standby Busssh, and those damned Europeans

  4. He inherited the Democrat budget and TARP spending THAT HE HIMSELF VOTED FOR! So even on day 1, he wasn’t blameless.

When my son comes off the baseball field saying that the errors weren’t his fault, I tell him it’s not sportsmanlike to take credit or place blame. He’s 11.

  5. Petulant.

People who exploit the resentment and envy of others must internalize the victimhood they try to foster.

    Presidential?

No wonder Putin and Medvedev love having this guy around.

  6. The dog pissed on his master plan

The dog’s got better judgment than 52% of the electorate.

  7. When my son comes off the baseball field saying that the errors weren’t his fault, I tell him it’s not sportsmanlike to take credit or place blame. He’s 11.

    Well done.

I say, “Funny how you never hear the winners complain.”

  8. According to his tale, he gets to eat the steak he pays for that someone else orders…

getting stiffed is when they eat the stake, and leave before the check comes…

also… if your paying with someone else s money, how can you be stiffed?

which then leads to how, without knowing it, Bush was personally planning to foil Obama.

he is trying to be a MARTYR…
ie. hoping we forget that he volunteered for what he is complaining he got…

In psychology, a person who has a martyr complex, sometimes associated with the term victim complex, desires the feeling of being a martyr for his/her own sake, seeking out suffering or persecution because it feeds a psychological need.

In some cases, this results from the belief that the martyr has been singled out for persecution because of exceptional ability or integrity

Other martyr complexes involve willful suffering in the name of love or duty. This has been observed in women, especially in poor families, as well as in codependent or abusive relationships. It has also been described as a facet of Jewish-American folklore.

The desire for martyrdom is sometimes considered a form of masochism. Allan Berger, however, described it as one of several patterns of “pain/suffering seeking behavior”, including asceticism and penance

    which you see above…

though given he does not want to suffer alone in silence, he wants his flagellation to be public and shared

“It’s because you have an obligation to yourself. Because our individual salvation depends on collective salvation.” – Barack Obama

So when he suffers we all suffer…

It is not necessary to accept everything as
true, one must only accept it as necessary….
    A melancholy conclusion…. It turns
    lying into a universal principle.
    Franz Kafka

While Communism is impotent as an economic system, it proved extremely efficient as a system of worldwide expansion and social control. In order to accomplish that, Communism had to conceal its reality and remain an ‘idea.’

This ‘idea’ would promise a total revolution, collective salvation and universal happiness, a “bliss of final redemption in a world devoid of conflict” as Polish anti-utopian thinker Leszek Kolakowski ironically put it (quoted in Tismaneanu, 97).

This facade of something high was actually meant to conceal the low foundations of totalitarian power.

so the concept of collective salvation has been said before…

but shall i also point out the the missives of the despots who also appealed to the feminine side of societies this way?

but what kind of person is attuned to respond to that?

The sociopathic narcissist puts on his best face — the other party is blinded by budding love. A natural selection process occurs only much later, as the relationship develops, the sociopath shows his true colors and the relationship is put to the test. – Vanknin

which is what we have seen…
but given we dont know the nature of this relationship, we dont see his desire to pretend to suffer, so he can be among those he wishes to influence…

ie… you have suffering people, you have to suffer TOO, or else they will respond the way they did to “let them eat cake”.

so these missives and such, are all about hey, we are together, i am the same, i am a martyr too… etc

so again, what kind of person?
the only easy to get info i had was vanknin, and its more about romantic relationships, but actually, like herr hitler, obama seduced the electorate THE SAME WAY…

but what makes people receptive NOW to it, and not before?

First and foremost, the sociopathic narcissist’s partner must have a deficient grasp of her self and of reality. Otherwise, she (or he) is bound to abandon the sociopathic narcissist’s ship after the honeymoon phase is over.

self esteem movement, awards for not acheiving, etc… not knowing what you want to be… etc..

you can see that the people that respond to obama are people who are flailing emotionally and lost… they dont know who they are, what they want, how to get it, or even how to ignore the state and do it themselves.

others who cant, feel that if it wasnt for X that they woudl be more successful… so there is plenty of room for lots of variations on the victim theme.

ergo racial victimhood, feminist victimhood, economic victimhood, religious victimhood, etc.

but we are too distracted by the colors, the paper, the music, and event to realize they are all parades

The cognitive distortion is likely to consist of belittling and demeaning herself — while aggrandising and adoring the sociopathic narcissist.

oh… the i am white, i am a racist, i am guilty and hate myself.. let me vote for something that seems to lessen that self loathing

The partner is, thus, placing himself in the position of the eternal victim: undeserving, punishable, a scapegoat. Sometimes, it is very important to the partner to appear moral, sacrificial and victimised. At other times, she is not even aware of this predicament. The sociopathic narcissist is perceived by the partner to be a person in the position to demand these sacrifices from his partner, being superior to her in many ways (intellectually, emotionally, morally, financially).

if we are all victims we are all equal
we just have to admit it, then seek collective salvation… and the victim in cheif will lead us

the poor germans of the sudentland were victims, and had to be rescued
the women and men of the US are victims of white male oppression, and ahve to be rescued.

and the other message is… i am a victim too, i know what others dont know, i am like you, “i feel your pain”…

the partner is the mirror image of the sociopathic narcissist. By maintaining a symbiotic relationship with him, by being totally dependent upon the source of masochistic supply (which the sociopathic narcissist most reliably constitutes and most amply provides) — the partner enhances certain traits and encourages certain behaviours, which are at the very core of narcissism.

if you ever read PUA stuff, you might realize the neurolinguistic seduction games he is playing. the passing dis, and other things

The sociopathic narcissist is never whole without an adoring, submissive, available, self-denigrating partner. His very sense of superiority, indeed his False Self, depends on it.

so rather than beat a dead horse and be cut short… let me just finish that with this.

by making a nation of victims, and such (using feminism as all women are victims of men, and race, all non whites are victims of white males, and so on… ), what they did was prepare the society as a culture to be receptive to the social games and such that a narcissist would be the other half to

you can see it when the victim class declares someone a racist for not wanting obama. but we dont get the play exactly.

    1) they know they are racists, and self loath

    2) they know that you are racist too, their ideology says so, all white males are racist, al whites are racist, etc..

    3) what they cant stand is a non penitent racist, who refuses to admit they are racist… see 2.

so the proper penance for being a white racist and doing all the evil in the world and causing it, and so on… is to vote away their lives, and futures, and such.. to the victim who will handle the collective salvation

if you hate yourself, come lose yourself in obama and he will define you. you will have meaning, and so on

It is through self-denial that the partner survives. She denies her wishes, hopes, dreams, aspirations, sexual, psychological and material needs, and much else besides. She perceives her needs as threatening because they might engender the wrath of the sociopathic narcissist’s God-like supreme figure. The sociopathic narcissist is rendered in her eyes even more superior through and because of this self-denial. Self-denial undertaken to facilitate and ease the life of a “great man” is more palatable. The “greater” the man (=the sociopathic narcissist), the easier it is for the partner to ignore her own self, to dwindle, to degenerate, to turn into an appendix of the sociopathic narcissist and, finally, to become nothing but an extension, to merge with the sociopathic narcissist to the point of oblivion and of dim memories of one’s self.

the above is what a collective is when you have thousands doing that.

  9. There is an Israeli saying that a man may fail many times but he is not a failure until he starts blaming someone else.

  10. Occam wrote
“The dog pissed on his master plan

The dog’s got better judgment than 52% of the electorate.”

    good one Occam!

  11. Add to Mr. President’s vast array of concept disorders ‘time contraction’. Over three years at the trough and he’s just now sat down. Twenty years at Rev. Wright’s Church of Latter Day Hates and it’s as if he heard it for the first time the last time he was there. Insert Twilight Zone theme here.

  12. I was going to say what artsidodge said but, alas, he put it so much more succinctly.
    __________________________________________
Obama is a coward. A moral coward. An intellectual coward and, I’ll easily wager, a physical coward. In the first debate–the press will NEVER ask him this–I wish to God that Mitt would ask him the titles and authors of the “most recent” 10-books he’s read. Want to bet on how bats**t blank a face can look? Follow up by asking the names of the last 5-golf courses he’s palyed. A punk, a twit and a sulky child. Luck, blessed us!!

  13. Bob from Virginia –

That reminds me, along with neo’s remarks, of another Israeli saying:

“A pessimist is someone who believes things can’t get any worse; an optimist is someone who believes that they can.”

On this definition, I am very optimistic! Though at the end of an eighth year of an Obama presidency, I fear I will be forced to turn to pessimism.

    Good times.

  14. Not having much to take credit for is not a problem for Obama; he just blithely and shamelessly takes credit for the achievements of others — such as ending the Iraq war, or killing Bin Ladin — over and over again.

  15. I was watching Fox and saw the Orkin commercial with the roaches on the counter, and the Terminex commercial with the roach delivering pizza and then a video of Obama with that snarky grin pointing to someone in the audience as he mounts the podium and I had more visceral revulsion at seeing him than either of the other two images.

  16. So, is Obama “just sitting down”? I was under the impression he’d been dining in that establishment for well over three years now, and had run up quite a tab himself without paying anything off.

That was my first thought, the man is sitting at a table with his champagne taste and been ordering up for three years, who is he to talk about the tab before him?

  17. Well, Obama can say whatever he thinks will fool the bitter clingers. Here are some figures (rounded for brevity) from the government @ http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget/Historicals/

    2001 – $32.5 billion Bush/R. Congress
    2002 – $317.4 billion ” / ”
    2003 – $538.4 billion ” / ”
    2004 – $568.0 billion ” / ”
    2005 – $494.0 billion ” / ”
    2006 – $435.0 billion ” / ”
    2007 – $342.1 billion ” / D. Congress
    2008 – $642.0 billion ” / ”
    2009 – $1.50 trillion Obama/D. Cong. (no budget)
    2010 – $1.37 trillion Obama/D. Cong. (no budget)
    2011 – $1.37 trillion Obama/Split Cong. (no budget)

Bush spent a lot, but I think this kind of puts the lie to Obama’s claim about being stiffed by a big spender.

2009 included TARP and the Porkulus Bill, which were supposed to be one time expenditures. Most of the TARP money has been repaid, but Obama and company have not used it to reduce deficits. Instead they have held onto it to spend as they desire. (Obama’s stash.) Once they got the spending levels up there, (over trillion dollar deficits) they have worked to keep them up there. With no budget they fund the government with continuing resolutions and spend whatever they feel like spending. It is breathtaking sophistry to try to blame it on Bush or the Republicans.

  18. Uk and USA are a lot a like
the kids of the kids of the sexual revolution are here!
and Obama is trying to appeal to their intelligence and understanding of the world…

Where do milk, eggs and bacon come from? One in three youths don’t know
Fewer than half of young UK adults know butter comes from a dairy cow and a third do not know eggs come from hens, according to a survey.
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/foodanddrinknews/9330894/Where-do-milk-eggs-and-bacon-come-from-One-in-three-youths-dont-know.html

so maybe they don’t know steak comes from a cow, or that Obama likes wagyu beef…

  19. Oh come now Neo, be fair — Obama single handedly took out Bin Laden, and that has to count for something!

As I heard it, he rode up on his trusty warhorse, fully armoured and challenged, and fought, and slayed in single combat, the terrible Bin Laden monster, outside its very own lair. His cowardly followers cowered in fear and offered no help, nay, none at all. Without fear for himself, Sir Obama gallantly hewed the creature’s neck, smiting the Bin Laden beast mortally and casting it from this world!

It’s true, brave Sir Obama says so himself.

    (hmmm…..I don’t think I should ever re-read the Silmarillion again…..)

  20. Obama has lost his teflon coating. The reaction to his major economics speech today is another example. These next few months may get very ugly. He is likely to be increasingly mocked for his incompetence much as Carter was. Just deserts!

  21. J.J., your list of deficits inspired me to look at the alternative:
    http://www.mittromney.com/issues/spending

A lazy addition leads me see that Romney is going to cut spending by ~$325B. Which still leaves us a $1T deficit. If he can get Congress to sign on to the whole package.

Yes, losing only a pint of blood is better than losing 1.3 pints. But you see why I am not inspired to wave a sign for Mitt.

  22. Obama’s right. He has gotten a raw deal. And it would serve us right if he just upped and resigned to teach us a lesson. Today is good.

  23. I think it’s interesting that probably some of the best handlers in the world are shaping this mans image and even they can’t get him to not reflexively come off like an adolescent dumbass.

  24. foxmarks said, “Yes, losing only a pint of blood is better than losing 1.3 pints. But you see why I am not inspired to wave a sign for Mitt.”

Yep, it makes sense not to vote for Romney. Then Obama has an easier path to a second term. I’m sure Obama plans to cut spending by at least as much as Romney – maybe more. :>)

The deficit has to be put on a sustained downward path while the conditions for robust economic growth are also established. Getting back to a manageable fiscal situation requires a two pronged attack. It can’t all be done with austerity.

Who offers that two pronged attack? Methinks his name is not Obama.

  25. Jay Carney said that the bill was not paid because President Obama did not want to increase the the deficit by the amount of the bill: $55.56.

  26. I think there are still some cities waiting to be reimbursed for his expenses in 2008, too…

Anyway, Peggy Noonan says: “He’s busy. He’s running for president. But why? He could be president now if he wanted to be.”

How many days has he actually spent IN the White House? Working? Is that too much to ask? From the very beginning, he had to escape the house he tried so hard to get into – we provide them with 6 chefs, and he has to take the full cadre and fly Michelle to Chicago for dinner… he has to fly to Colorado to sign a bill, can’t do it in the office – he’s a joke. And he’s worthless.

Tsunami. Landslide. 60/40 roust. Send this campaigner packing.

  27. MBE Says:

    (hmmm…..I don’t think I should ever re-read the Silmarillion again…..)
    ————-

You read The Silmarillion? I gave up before I hit 20 pages. Maybe it was my Catholic upbringing, but Bible study was never my thing, and the Silmarillion was much too ‘biblical’, in a bad way.

  28. I am currently on a USAF base that shall not be named. In the buildings on the base are photographs of the top men and women in the military chain of command, with Obama’s picture always in the upper left corner. All the other photos are of men and women in uniform, each highly decorated after many years of service, and every one of their faces conveys keen intelligence and a very mature, responsible air without a trace of arrogance nor smugness.

I hazard the guess that these military officers have seen and done far too much in service of their country and the hard (sometimes brutally hard) work they’ve done to reach their current rank has made them humble about it.

Each time I pass by one of these boards I am reminded of the children’s song “One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn’t belong…”

  29. Random Thoughts, an excellent observation.

Before TV most of our Presidents were men who had been tested and found made of stern enough stuff to be leaders of some merit. It seems to me that TV has made appearance and charisma far too important in the selection of our leaders. Our pop culture is so deeply shallow the result has been politicians that reflect it in all its paltry shallowness.

As an example, compare Obama as President to Eisenhower. Eisenhower was a man who had planned and executed the Allied victory in Europe. He knew how to lead men and to accomplish big things. He was not deeply conservative but he didn’t work to enlarge the Federal government as so many since him have managed to do. The comparison of the two resumes is to compare a deep level of experience and accomplishment by Eisenhower to an almost non-existent level of the same in Obama. TV has not been the blessing it might have been.

  30. J.J. formerly Jimmy J. Says:
    ——-

Don’t forget Eisenhower was president of Columbia University after the war. Owebama is a lawyer without a license who never tried one case in court, but who managed a Chicago gift job of Constitutional lecturer at U of Chicago.

Owebama couldn’t stutter his way out of a wet paper bag.

As far as the tv changing election qualifications, I’ve said that before. No longer do we have real people with real experiences (and faces to match) but rather have John Edwards types, with their disarming good looks and $400 haircuts covering up a host of personal issues. Lincoln could never be elected today, he was unphotogenic and was tall with too long arms. Instead, we elect the pretty Gary Condits, scum all.
