  1. And he exclaimed as he drove out of sight, “Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!”

    Thank you for all your insightful posts, neo. You are the gift that keeps on giving.

  2. Roses are red, violets are blue,
    Here’s wishing Neo and all a very Merry Christmas;
    Except for the Democrats who can just drop dead from natural causes, from their own excessive hot air and CO2… Rats, turning 63 under Obamahellcare, but it won’t matter till I’m broke, apparently…. Try to fight for right, and endeavor to engage, in your dreams… Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! -Barry!

  3. An excellent post by Artfldgr, above. I recommend reading the article he linked to, about Christmas under Communism. Its important never to forget the errors of history, and what they cost. Thanks, Artfldgr.

    And Merry Christmas to you all !!!

    And Happy Channukah too !!!

  4. She wants my vote but can’t even bring her self to say “Merry Christmas” in her poem(*?”). I will pass and vote on Pamela who does so much good in bringing so many things to daylight which should get more attention by the MSM.

  5. theporch: Vote for whomever you want, of course. But do you not even understand that the poem here is a redo (there is even a link on the title to the text of the original) of Clement Clark Moore’s famous “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” poem? Its last line is exactly the same as the line I used in my poem: “Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”

    Not to mention the added “NOTE” at the end of the post.

  6. Thanks to Artfldgr for the link.

    I have read several books and essays describing life in the USSR in the bad old days. To one who has lived in the U.S. the narratives seem too dreary to be describing reality. Yet there it is; the dullness, the grayness, the unrelieved hunger of the spirit. A chronic, unyielding depression among all but the elite few at the top. That humans can be reduced to such a living hell seems impossible, but we have the eye witnesses who give their chilling accounts. May we all work to prevent that from ever happening here.
