  1. You might want to read this post from B5 that covers Lies and Damned Lies quite well.

And no, it isn’t as “innoculous” as the example you gave us of the media. Froggy also found his story via Google, as well Neo. So you have that in common with him.

  2. Looks like a surge of 22 K. So, I was right about that too. But, we’ll see.

Meanwhile, “Sacred Mushroom and the Cross” can’t be taken too seriously but it is an interesting book.

  3. The important point is that the MSM grinds this through the same mill they use for everything and get the same mush out. The opinions of the man in the street may or may not mean anything, and they may or may not have been invented by the writer sitting at his desk drinking a glass of gin.

Who pays them to put this stuff out?

  4. As a reporter who once worked for a big city daily, I can tell you the greatest shock of that whole experience years ago was learning how news outlets shape and create the news.

Mondays were especially slow news days and so very prone to conjured up stories, twisted and limited only by the journalist’s own imagination. It was often shameful to watch, and particiate in.

Like inducing labor so that the doctor won’t have to come in to deliver a baby during his weekend round of golf, inducing the news keeps reporters off the streets during cocktail hours and times less convenient to the real work of reporting the news as it organically unfolds.
